This thread will host tournament rules as well as any administrative decisions made during the tour. Challenge codes for non-tiered metas will be also provided here.

This season of HCPL features a 7-week minimum regular season, with potential extensions for tiebreaks.- Each team will have at least 10 players (8 starters + 2 substitutes), drafted using 100k credits.
- Managers may purchase themselves and/or their co-manager for 13.5k.
- No trades are allowed this season — draft wisely.
- Tourbanned users are not allowed to participate.
- Any attempts to game the auction via alts or false signups will result in immediate disqualification for both parties.

(Randomly selected at the start of each week. When a tier is picked, it will be removed from the random pool so it cannot repeat during the 5 week round robin. Removals are reversed on playoffs and onwards)
Note: The “Tiers not playing” field in signups is binding — you will not be able to be slotted into those metas. (in playoffs, binding is turned off)
Matches & Format
- Matches are best-of-three, except Gen 9 HC Bo5, which is best-of-five by default.
- Players may gentleman agree to a higher amount of battles (like Bo5 or Bo7). If both players confirm in a public setting, it is enforced and cannot be ruled back.
- Players are encouraged to play on SmogTours. PS! main is allowed but not recommended due to server unreliability.
- Each team matchup consists of 8 games total.
- A team wins the week by securing 5 match victories.
- Weekly points:
- Win: 2 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
- Win Differential (match score difference) is recorded for tie situations.
Playoffs
The top 4 teams after round-robin advance to a single-elimination bracket.- Semifinals: 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd
- Finals: Winners of each semi-final
Tiebreakers
If teams are tied in points and differential, a tiebreak round will occur:- Each team submits one meta (not Gen 9 HC, which is auto-included).
- If both teams pick the same meta, a third slot is chosen at random from the remaining metas.
Substitutes
- Teams may use up to two substitutes per week.
- Hosts may veto excessive or unjustified substitutions.
- Any team abusing sub rules may face penalties.
Conduct & Integrity
- You are expected to participate in your team’s Discord server. Strategy discussion and camaraderie are key parts of PL tournaments.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct or rule-breaking (in PS, Smogon, or Discord) will be handled case-by-case.
- If a player is removed for behavior, managers may pick one undrafted player to replace them at no cost.
