And HAI to you too Dr. Nick
Howdy good people, thx to you my previous team has had quite some success among my buddies (currently 9-1), but I figured it would be time to start using a different team since all of them are shifting their own teams to counter my Reuniclus among other things (I shouldn't have reminded them of Punishement Weavile...), and also cuz it might not be a bad idea to start using Dream World pokemons as well.

Like previous times, I'll post my previous teams at the end just to show what I got handy in case I missed a fatal flaw that can be solved with one of my previous guys.
Also some of those are actually in conflict with other specific pokes on their role, they will usually be stated in their description so advices to clarify won't hurt.

Without further wait, here we go with a quick lineup

Now on to some more details

368.gif

Name: Calypso
Item: White Herb
Ability: Swift Swim (not like it REALLY matters)
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 24 Sp.D / 232 Spe
-Shell Smash
-Baton Pass
-Scald
-Ice Beam

Still under debate on if Surf Girl keeps her spot or allows Mew to take over. Truth be told I'd rather use Mew I guess, but I'd be racking up psychic types.... Anyway its a standard Shell Smash passing set aimed to serve under Ragnarok. I nearly always prefer Scald over Surf nowadays, the difference in power is minimal and lucky burns make us happy (except for the few rare Guts users). Ice Beam could have left for Toxic, but it would be counter productive with Scald, plus it actually allows for some kind of tiny coverage, notably dragons. Hidden Power Grass might be another idea worth checking if Quagsire or Swampert seem to wanna hang around.

034.gif

Name: Ragnarok .... Idk if anything can be called "Nukem" but he'd be the closest one
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Earth Power
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Flamethrower

Out of all my usual "all star crew" of pokes I check out every generations, this guy is the one with arguably the biggest buff and I'm so freakin happy about it (Jolteon didn't change much, Absol didn't get much either and Flareon sadly is still doomed), if there is but 1 guy that I wanna keep on this team at all cost, it would be Ragnarok.... ANYWAY!!

The aim is fairly simple, receive BP and proceed to wreak the world apart, its that simple. Sheer Force coupled with recoilless Life Orb and an amazing movepool coverage makes for quite a threat. At first I wanted to use him as a "stand alone" soldier but since he's under the "100s threshold" his sweeps were fairly short cuz he'd be able to get a kill (or seriously damage a wall) before falling to a quicker sweeper. With the passed speed though thats a whole new story, and with the Sp.Atk boost it rips even through special walls fairly well (if someone can do the maths against a Blissey that would be awesome). I was under a dilemma to actually run a mixed set with Poison Jab but I'm not sure if thats really all that needed or not after all that power.

488.gif

Name: Luna
Item: Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 148 Def / 40 Sp.D / 68 Spe
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Moonlight / Lunar Dance
-Psychic

Dropping around so Surf Girl has an easier time to set her passing up comes Luna. I remember testing the passing right away but it was always fairly risky so I'll try to learn how to benefit more with a Screen setter. Moonlight seemed kinda handy though more then likely hindered by the omnipresent weather effects, so Lunar Dance might really be a better option, who knows I might even be able to get to use Surf Girl a 2nd time should Ragnarok unfortunatly fall.
Luna had some rough competition and is the main cause as to why I'm using a Gorebyss over a Mew, Latias had Recover but less bulk, Meganium has Leach Seed and Uxie (originally my first guess) has.... Stealth Rock I guess for being an overall weaker version of a Cresselia

227.gif

Name: Motörhead
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 Sp.D
-Brave Bird
-Roost
-Whirlwind
-Stealth Rock

Call me unoriginal here but gosh I like this guy. Physical wall extraordinaire on top of an awesome phazer. I picked SR over Spikes as it ensures to break all other Sturdy/Sash (except for Reuniclus who won't have a Sash and maybe Alakazam who definitly won't like that Brave Bird), the goal is to ensure nobody gets to survive Ragnarok's slaughter through item or abilities.
I had on my mind of maybe using a Prankster like Sableye instead, but I guess its not that necessary.

573.gif

Name: Princess
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Skill Link
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Tail Slap
-Bullet Seed
-Rock Blast
-U-turn

Pretty likely to be my lead as things are right now, Princess' purpose is to destroy those Substitute lovers, plus she's a nice receiver of Shell Smash as well while not relying on it either. Her moveset is to fully make use of her ability and U-turn is to scout and keep on the momentum.
If anything went really wrong I could always use Infernape, Mienshao or even Arcanine instead but testing requires trying and since Cinccinos aren't exactly the most common thing around Princess does get a few bonus points imo.

145.gif

Name: I'm out of ideas right now, maybe Storm Jolt, or just Storm, idk
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
Nature: Calm
EVs: 248 Hp / 16 Def / 228 Sp.D / 16 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Roost
-Hidden Power Ice
-Thunder Wave

Picking up as my special wall, Storm packs some alright synergy with Motörhead, it might not resist fire, but it does absorb electric so thats cool. Too bad Heat Wave is illegal with Rod but i'll manage. I guess I do retain my Ice weakness though in a less severe way then with Dragonite.
If things were to really go bad, I could change Cinccino for a new Infernape or something like it, or just change Zapdos with Porygon2

Notable switches

151.gif

Name: Mew (for the sake of being legit, I can't really have a Mew under my own OT sadly..)
Item: Lum Berry
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Bold or Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 148 Def / 108 Spe or 252 Hp / 148 Sp.D / 108 Spe
-Rock Polish
-Nasty Plot
-Baton Pass
-Psychic

Lil Mew comes around to be my Baton Passer and Ragnarok' sidekick (he's right below) in crime. Her spot is still fairly debated with Gorebyss but Mew at least has the advantage of having more bulk then Gorebyss as well as more overall base speed. Not relying on on White Herb is a plus too since Synchronize + Lum is handy in crippling the crippler. However if I really end up having to use something like Uxie to set dual screens then running 2 psychic types isn't totally something I'm high on. I debated on Psychic over Taunt or even Magic Coat which are also great options but I prefered to try running a surprise attacking move on a BP set cuz of Prankster users that could run their Taunt/Encore first. Plus as I stated, for the small amount of time I spent on PO, nobody expected me to start firing Plotted Psychics at them when they assumed Mew would grant them some setup time. EVs and Nature are debatable, I'm guessing of increasing her physical bulk more as common special sweepers like Volcarona wouldn't care about the slight Sp.D boost anyway.... but then again I might very well be forgetting about something else

154.gif

Name: Flower Girl
Item: Light Clay
Ability: Overgrowth (not much reason for Leaf Guard, plus its not even released yet)
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 Sp.D
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Leach Seed
-Leaf Storm / Giga Drain

My first attempt of working with a screen user, I guess Uxie might be a bit better but that would require some change with Mew. Anyway dual screens is ... you know... kinda required for the set (wutup Captain Obvious). Leach Seed is for residual dmg, slight recovery and the overall annoyment that causes frustrated switching. On my last slot I'm hinging toward Leaf Storm as it would be surprising that I keep her on the field for extended amounts of time and the Storm dmg boost wouldn't hurt, although Giga Drain can have some annoyingly surprising synergy with Overgrowth, although its not like I'd aim for that lol

149.gif

Name: Armageddon
Item: Lum Berry
Ability: Multi-Scale
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch
-Roost

Now THAT one is a common sight, and quite frankly probly one of my least favorite part of the team just cuz its so F-ing everywhere. At first I thought about making her more like a Sp.D wall but FFS I'm starting to think I'm going too defencive on this team.
The set is a standard DD set with the tweaks to compliment Multi Scale. Fire Punch is favored over Earthquake out of moveslot shortage, on top of the fact I wouldn't wanna have to face stuff like Skarmory, Ferrothorn or Scizor w/o fire. I heard someone talk about Brick Break.... but srsly I'd probly just use EQ over it, and I just talked about that seconds ago.

If anything, Armageddon' spot should probly leave for a revenge killer, Weavile comes to mind for dragons and psychics (namely Reuniclus) but a Technician Breloom might not be a bad idea either... hell maybe even a bloody darned Ditto might work, tell me what you guys think.

As promised, here are the guys from my 2 previous teams, the first is my current and more successful team, the 2nd is a very rough shot and ended up in between everything. Both were Pré Dream World teams though.

598.gif

Name: Hugs Pls
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 Hp / 48 Def / 208 Sp.D
-Leach Seed
-Spikes
-Gyro Ball
-Power Whip

Quite obviously my physical wall, she comes in with her renowned dmg sponging prowess. Spikes are likely to be my chosen entry hazards with the advance of the many fighting types on top of the already big bunch of steel and ground types going around. Maybe I'll get a SR setter but thats another time. My concern though is I wish I could use Skarmory instead for phazing and longevity reasons, but with my current special wall that would cause a lightning vulnerability that I definitly don't need.

593.gif

Name: PringleGuy, or Cool Stach since the pringles reference is everywhere...if only I could use Monopoly Guy
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Calm
EVs: 248 Hp / 168 Def / 88 Sp.D / 4 Spe
-Scald
-Recover
-Toxic
-Taunt / Shadow Ball

Wish I could think of another one but he's my special wall as of right now. This Jellicent's purpous is twofold: 1- soak up special hits, cripple and regen 2- piss off other similar pokes such as Vaporeon, Blissey and opposing Jellicent by poisoning and shutting their movepool with Taunt. The 4 speed EVs are to troll the opponent's Jellicent with a "quick" Taunt. I have actually also been trying Shadow Ball instead of Taunt lately and it hasn't really disapointed me too much, I'd have to decide on what I like best.

445.gif

Name: Zin'rokh
Item: Yache Berry / Haban Berry
Ability: Sand Veil (for all that matters, I guess I'll use opposing Sandstorm)
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Swords Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Fang

Mister 4th gen breaker is up. I was debating between this set or a Scarf set but so far I'll take my chances here. No surprising EV build, but I'm gonna settle for Dragon Claw for now as +2 Outrage seems fun, but not running Lum is akin to setting my deathwish with the devil, plus I always seem to "have" to use my dragon type moves early and the locking effect pisses me off.
Edit: I've actually been using Lum cuz .... i don't have an Haban Berry, but i should probly try Yache soon.

579.gif

Name: Mini Evil
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 Sp.D
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-Recover
-Focus Blast / Hidden Power Fight

As I was suggested last time, I'll give the CM set a try, maybe I'll just go back to a static bulky set with Shadow Ball but its worthy a shot, not to say the lil guy sure does look like someone who would be a pain to take down after a bit of setup. It also helps me out deal with both stall teams better as well as allowing me to protect myself against Conkeldurr (maybe not as well as Poison Heal Gliscor, but this is pre DW so eh)

392.gif

Name: Asuka
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Naive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Close Combat
-Overheat
-U-Turn
-Stone Edge

As I was looking for an anti T-tar/Scizor counter, I decided to give my Mienshao a sparing partner. MixNape is still pretty darn dangerous and should be a good part of my offence. Who knows, maybe I'll switch both my fightin girls on my mood but diversity calls. I'm kinda troubled with my last move however. its basicly a matter of slight power boost and shaky accuracy vs a bit less power but near unfailing accuracy. Also both will cover on flying types but then its a matter of dealing with Fire or Water.... anyone?

642.gif

Name: Strife
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Nasty Plot
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice
-Taunt

As freaking angry as this makes me not to be using Jolteon at all, I have to give a few good points to Thundurus. Namely what I've always wanted on my Jolteons as a boosting move... Nasty Plot.... I'll keep on praying but meanwhile I may have to give cloudboy a chance. Priority Taunt is also pretty useful in stopping incoming phaze (except Dragon Tail) and the casual Baton Passers such as Mew, Smeargle and Gorebyss. Not using a Life Orb is simply cuz I don't wanna take recoil should I end up against a special wall. Nasty Plot should provide enough power to make up for the Orb loss, although if he ends up just being too frail, I'll use the Glasses instead (they aren't much, but they don't lock or recoil so oh well)
Also, maybe I'll fit Thunder Wave on it, but much like Ferrothorn its a though choice as I'd probly have to let go of Nasty Plot this time around.
Edit: I'm gonna have to likely replace Nasty Plot as I've actually never had time or need to use it lately.

620.gif

Name: Kasumi
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-High Jump Kick
-Stone Edge
-U-turn
-Taunt

Aimed to be my "lead" (although team preview kinda messes this up in a way), she runs my scouting jobs while still kicking some butts fairly well.

009.gif

Name: Blue Jon (pun at a buddy of mine)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 Sp.Atk
-Scald
-Rapid Spin
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Rapid Spin purpous as I seem to not have anything off the ground (probly should remedy that) as well as physical wall and status absorber... busy Jon sounds like he'll do great at that multitask, at least on paper.

378.gif

Name: LolTitanic
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 Sp.A
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Psych Up

For some odd reason I really like Regice, weird. Calm provides enough of a stat boost for him to be a beastly special wall (sadly with only lefties but still). Boltbeam coverage + TWave support worked well when i tested him on PO (back when it worked..) Psych Up is mostly cuz I did fight a few Calm Mind Suicune/Creselia during that time.

579.gif

Name: Mini Evil
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 200 Def / 58 Sp.D
-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Recover

Thought it wouldn't hurt to have a bulky offencive pokemon again (last gen I used a Cursebreon). I'm not sure if he's gonna be sturdy enough to shift lefties for a Life Orb or if it won't really matter though.

373.gif

Name: Ashkandi
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Fang

As Multi Scale Dragonite isn't released yet I'm trying the slightly quicker version with this guy. I wanted at least 1 setup sweeper to spot when the timing presents itself.

135.gif

Name: Lightning
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Frost
-Shadow Ball
-Work Up

The team is now ready for evaluation.

You are weak to special attacks, I can see the new fire ghost giving you some problems, crippling your team especially after he rips your skarmory a new one.

I'd say lose cinccino, its usefulness is only equal to his longevity and thats close to nil.

I'm not totally sure as how Shandera would cause me that much trouble (was Shadow Tag banned yet, I forget). Except for Skarmory I don't see too many of my guys that are weak to it, not to mention I'm likely to have screens up to set Shell Smash and switch to Nidoking for the slaughter, maybe I'm doing the theorycrafting wrong, but even Scarfdera can't outspeed Nidoking after the BP. Cinccino can also kill it with Rock Blast.

You just said to drop Cinccino btw, think I'd be better off with Nape or Mienshao?, and I guess Dragonite can be replaced by a special wall (back to the drawing board i guess...)

I'm thinking of maybe, just MAYBE replacing Cinccino with either Weavile, Breloom or Infernape, just cuz i kinda remembered how annoyed i was when Tail Slap misses and then gets her killed by Close Combat. but then this would mean I no longer have a lead, would it be risky to open the show with Crescelia right away?

Although if i did that, I could test Porygon2 instead of Zapdos i suppose...
What do you guys think?

bump
still looking for insights on my Cinccino "lead" + special wall Zapdos
or would it make more sense to use Mienshao + Porygon2
anything on Crescelia?

insights/suggestions/comments?
