So, I was sitting playing in the Dark Horse Project with my and Modest Scarf Jynx when I got outspeed and U-Turn OHKOed by a Jolly Landorus-T. In that moment, the world spun into focus and I had a revelation (of sorts). It is from that this team was born.

Renri no Eda (Kangaskhan) @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Scrappy
Level: 50
Happiness: 0
EVs: 212 HP / 12 Atk / 164 Def / 92 SpD / 28 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Frustration
- Sucker Punch
- Power-Up Punch
- Protect

The nickname means "Now and Forever" or at least that's what Google Translate tells me it means. The name not only reflects Kangaskhan's continued domination over the meta but also the insane staying power that my spread has. Anyway, the first thing you'll notice is that it is disgustingly bulky. With Friend Guard I take pretty much every attack in the game. To make my point:

252+ Atk Mega Gallade Close Combat vs. 212 HP / 164 Def Mega Kangaskhan with Friend Guard: 172-204 (83 - 98.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

That is a 120 Base Power Super Effective STAB move coming off of a Base 165 Attack stat. All I can say is, we livvin. The set was made to survive a Terrakion Close Combat and Specs Hydreigon Draco Meteor without the Friend Guard boost and to still outspeed and OHKO Bisharp. The HP hits a Sand/Hail number, and the moves are all pretty simple. Frustration was selected over Return because Ditto.

Fryda (Clefairy) (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Friend Guard
Level: 50
EVs: 236 HP / 220 Def / 52 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Helping Hand
- Follow Me
- Thunder Wave
- Protect

The name means "Leader." Is Clefairy a leader? I don't know, but everybody seems to follow it ;) Okay, I'm sorry. I can't help myself. The spread allows me to take a Jolly Mega-Metagross Iron Head (93% of the time), an Adamant Kang Double Edge, a Adamant LO Bisharp Iron Head and a Modest/Quiet (non Life Orb) Aegislash Flash Cannon. Hail/Sand HP number. Follow Me is pretty self explanatory. Thunder Wave is great for speed control, especially when I can't get Trick Room up. Helping Hand allows me to press any advantage I have and allows me to deal damage vicariously through my teammates. Protect, besides being a Doubles Staple, is nice for when I predict a double up into Clef for the KO and can Protect to gain momentum.

Zigor (Abomasnow) (M) @ Abomasite
Ability: Snow Warning
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 204 HP / 4 Atk / 20 Def / 228 SpA / 52 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Blizzard
- Energy Ball
- Ice Shard
- Protect

The nickname means "Revenge" as Abomasnow is the incarnation of my righteous fury against Landorus and Thundurus. The EV spread makes Adamant Landorus-T's Rock Slide a 3HKO, allows me to survive a Adamant Kang Double Edge and a Jolly Kang Low Kick (I take the low Kick from Adamant with the Friend Guard boost). I also naturally survive Aegislash's Flash Cannon with or without Life Orb and can take a LO Bisharp Iron Head. The offensive investment allows me to OHKO all Lando-T (obviously) and gives me a good shot of OHKOing Thundurus-I after a turn of Hail damage. The HP number is for Sand. Energy Ball was selected over Giga Drain for the extra power and Ice Shard acts as nice priority outside of Trick Room.

The really nice thing about Abomasnow, however, is that it works just fine without Mega-Evolving. That means I can bring it to the same battles where I'm using Mega-Kang. Furthermore, it can make better use of the Thunder Wave support that Clefairy offers in it's non Mega form because, sadly, in it's Mega Form Mega-Salamence outspeeds it even when Paralized.

Varain (Malamar) (M) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Contrary
Level: 50
EVs: 236 HP / 12 Atk / 44 Def / 216 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- Trick Room
- Protect

The nickname means "Fickle," which is a bad joke about Contrary. Malamar was selected as the Trick Room user for several reasons, the most important of which being that it has an actual offensive presence on the field. The spread takes an Adamant Azumarill Play Rough, Adamant Kang Double Edge, Adamant Landorus-T U-Turn, Modest Specs Sylveon Hyper Voice, Modest Specs Hydreigon Draco Meteor, and pretty much anything and everything else. There are 4 extra EVs that don't go anywhere, so I threw them into SpD. The Safety Goggles allow me to ignore Amoonguss' Spores and Rage Powders so I can Superpower/Knock Off freely. It lets me get TR up against Breloom and also prevents Hail chip damage. Superpower is for Contrary abuse, Knock Off is for the strong Dark type STAB, Trick Room is Trick Room and same with Protect. Psycho Cut was considered but discarded because it wasn't worth dropping any of the four moves I'm currently running.

Amit Amir (Escavalier) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Overcoat
Level: 50
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head
- Megahorn
- Drill Run
- Knock Off

The nickname means "Infinitely Powerful," which I consider fitting for a Pokemon that can OHKO Cresselia. Everything is pretty cookie cutter here. Moves are exactly what you would expect from a Choice Banded set and the EVs aren't terribly surprising either. The one thing worth explaining is the 12 Speed EVs. While they might seem counter productive on a TR team, they don't actually make me outspeed anything that wouldn't already move before me under TR. The point of them is to allow me to outspeed paralized base 100s like Mega-Kangakshan, even if they have a boosting nature.

MacKay (Rotom-Heat) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 140 HP / 152 Def / 204 SpA / 12 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 0 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch

Apparently the name means "Son of Fire." Who knew, right? Anyway, Rotom-H is not only my Fire type but also my best answer to Mega-Charizard. As my second Choice user, Rotom-H is one of the large offensive presences on the team. It can OHKO all but the bulkiest of CharY with Thunderbolt and any Aegislash/Mawile that may happen to get in the way of it's Overheat. It usually takes 2 Rock Slides from Adamant Landorus-T, and can OHKO back with HP Ice. It can take anything Salamence wants to throw at it just fine, and it also doesn't mind Breloom that much excluding Spore. Finally, Levitate gives me a Ground switch in if I didn't bring or don't want to risk Abomasnow.

Minor detail, Serapis. Does 31/0/even/31/31/0 also give you HP Ice? I'm not too big of a fan of HP IVs spread, but i can tell you that you should change that IV to 1. Not that big of a deal, as 1 IVs with Quiet wil still hit the minimal speed stat (which is 86, pretty sure) and it will guarantee Hidden Power Ice.
I can't believe how different our builds around this were, but i love this team! Keep it up Serapis!

Yo Serapis, great team as expected of you! I meant to do this last night but I was super tired so here it is haha. I think this is a really good team; however, my main dig with it is the Kangaskhan spread. Surviving a Close Combat from Terrakion is fine and dandy but what's the point of surviving it if you can't even do anything back? Sure you can get to +2, but a +2 Sucker Punch doesn't OHKO after the PUP damage and after CC, Kangaskhan will be severely weakened, which leaves itself open to being easily revenge killed. Especially if Kangaskhan is paired with Clefairy, wouldn't it be the best to just redirect the hit rather than Kangaskhan take so much damage? At that point, I would much rather just add an Intimidate user rather than invest so much into bulk. So with that I suggest changing Kangaskhan spread to 212 HP / 100 Atk / 76 Def / 92 SpD / 28 Spe with an Adamant Nature. This is essentially a variation of the spread that you created. It allows Kangaskhan to survive an Adamant Landorus-T's Superpower and an Adamant Mega Kangaskhan's Low Kick while giving Kangaskhan a much higher offensive presence. It still has a decent chance at surviving Terrakion's Close Combat.

  • 252+ Atk Landorus-T Superpower vs. 212 HP / 76 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 150-178 (72.4 - 85.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 252+ Atk Parental Bond Mega Kangaskhan Low Kick (100 BP) vs. 212 HP / 76 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 168-202 (81.1 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 212 HP / 76 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 188-224 (90.8 - 108.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

Once again man this is a GREAT team! Hope I helped and good luck with the team!!! :]
