[OVERVIEW]
* Hariyama is a bulky and powerful Fighting type that has a good movepool, good supportive options, and good synergy with Trick Room teams.
* Hariyama pairs well with Trick Room setters like Farigiraf and Hatterene thanks to Fake Out stopping Pokemon that could potentially OHKO or Taunt them. Hariyama benefits from Trick Room thanks to its low speed, making it a fast and bulky attacker in Trick Room.
* Hariyama faces fierce competition with its Paradox Form Iron Hands thanks to its greater offensive potential and stats, but has worse supportive capabilities compared to Hariyama.
* Hariyama is strong against Dark and Steel types like Hydreigon and Kingambit thanks to it's powerful Close Combats which can be further boosted by Guts, however, it is checked by Fairy and Psychic types like Flutter Mane and Talonflame can threaten OHKO's due to Hariyama's low defences and speed.

[SET COMMENTS]
* Close Combat is Hariyama's strongest move, Fake Out helps Hariyama stop any threats for one turn, Knock Off provides coverage for Ghost types that Close Combat can't hit such as Gholdengo and Flutter Mane.
* Wide Guard provides support for teammates and blocks strong spread moves such as Torkoal Eruption and Armarouge Expanding Force. Helping Hand can be used in conjunction with Set Up sweepers if they're not strong enough.
* Flame Orb activates Guts while preventing Hariyama from being put to sleep by Amoonguss and Brute Bonnet Spores.
* The 17 Spe IV's allow it to outspeed neutral speed Garganacl and other Hariyama while being fast enough in Trick Room. This spread allows Hariyama to live a non-terastialized Throat Spray Sylveon Tera Blast when not burned and a Jet Punch Palafin-Hero under Rain. The rest of the EV's are placed onto Atk to make Hariyama deal as much damage as possible.
* Tera Fighting helps Hariyama get stronger Close Combats, while Tera Normal is a more defensive option that helps it lose it's Psychic and Fairy weakness while boosting Facade more.

[SET COMMENTS]
* Close Combat is Hariyama's strongest attack, Knock Off covers against Gholdengo and other Ghost types.
* Heavy Slam covers against Fairy types like Flutter Mane, Rock Slide covers for Flying types such as Talonflame, and Feint is unaffected by Protect making it parter well with Fake Out thanks to its pressure alongside it.
* Assault Vest helps boost Hariyama's low SpD, which is a massive weakness thanks to the many powerful Special Attackers that are used, such as Iron Bundle, Flutter Mane, and Armarouge.
* Brave and 0 Spe IV's make Hariyama as slow as possible in TR while Brave increases its Atk. This spread helps Hariyama live Headlong Rush Life Orb Great Tusk and Brave Bird Talonflame, while also a Moonblast Choice Specs Flutter Mane and Make It Rain Life Orb Gholdengo. The rest of the EV's are placed onto Atk to help with offensive presence.
* Tera Fighting is the best option as it boosts Hariyama strongest move, Close Combat, which it wants since it has less power compared to its Guts counterpart.
