Hatterene @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Draining Kiss
- Psyshock
- Nuzzle

Hatterene shines as a bulky Calm Mind sweeper that is able to handle threats such as Zamazenta and Great Tusk, helps in the battle against entry hazards, and cannot be stopped by status moves like Gliscor's Toxic, Ogerpon-W's Encore, and Ting-Lu's Whirlwind. Psyshock lets it threaten Clodsire and Blissey on their vulnerable physical sides as well as opposing Calm Mind users like Primarina. Nuzzle greatly supports its teammates and deters Pokemon able to stomach its hits such as Ogerpon-W and Gholdengo from switching into it. 24 Speed EVs let Hatterene outspeed Adamant Kingambit after it is paralyzed by Nuzzle. Tera Water turns the tables on Steel-type moves like Gholdengo's Make It Rain and Iron Crown's Tachyon Cutter while maintaining its good matchup against Great Tusk. Pokemon susceptible to Stealth Rock like Iron Moth, Ceruledge, and Alolan Ninetales appreciate Hatterene's ability to deter foes from setting it up. Iron Moth and Ceruledge are great allies against the Steel-types that trouble Hatterene like Gholdengo, Iron Crown, and Tinkaton. Alolan Ninetales's Aurora Veil helps Hatterene set up, as it requires multiple Calm Mind uses before it starts being threatening.

Hatterene has left its mark in this year's WCoP as shown in this battle: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9ou-849788

Hatterene shines as a bulky Calm Mind sweeper able to help in the battle against entry hazards, threats such as Zamazenta and Great Tusk, and which cannot be stopped by status moves like Toxic from [example] and Encore from [example]. (i know what you mean here but this sentence can be a bit confusing, might be great to separate the mbounce point to emphasize how good it is. something like 'hatt is a good cm sweeper that checks these mons. most importantly, its mbounce does abcd...') Psyshock lets it threaten Clodsire and Blissey on its vulnerable physical side while as well as opposing Calm Mind users like Primarina. Nuzzle greatly supports its teammates and deters Pokemon able to stomach its hits such as Ogerpon-W and Gholdengo (and opposing CM hatt maybe, so you have better odds to win the 1v1) from switching into it. 24 Speed EVs let Hatterene outspeed Adamant Kingambit after it is paralyzed by Nuzzle. Tera Water removes its type weaknesses, in particular turning turns the tables on Steel-type moves like Gholdengo's Make It Rain (can prob one or two other examples here) while maintaining its good matchup against Great Tusk. Pokemon susceptible to Stealth Rock like Iron Moth, Ceruledge, and Alolan Ninetales (Prob dnite mention too) appreciate Hatterene's ability to deter foes from setting them up. Iron Moth and Ceruledge are great allies against the Steel-types that trouble Hatterene like Gholdengo and Iron Crown. (tink mention might be good cause of moldy encore + doesnt care about your CM boosts at all) Alolan Ninetales's Aurora Veil helps Hatterene set up, as it requires multiple Calm Mind uses before it starts being threatening.

Hatterene has left its mark in this year's WCoP including as shown this battle: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9ou-849788
Fwiw the character limit excludes spaces so you still have slightly more than 100 characters left, which we can prob sprinkle in more examples and other brief mentions. Let me know if you need clarifications or want me to look at it again but either way QC 1/1
