[SET COMMENTS]
Calm Mind Hatterene is one of the most dangerous win conditions in the tier. Magic Bounce and a disruptive offensive movepool allow Hatterene to dismantle bulky teams relying on passive damage to make progress, while offensive teams must respond immediately lest Hatterene get out of hand and run them over as well. Psychic Noise is the preferred Psychic-type STAB move as it prevents foes such as Gliscor, Alomomola, and Clefable from healing and lets Hatterene systematically break down the defensive cores that these Pokemon anchor. Draining Kiss allows Hatterene to heal itself while dealing damage. Mystical Fire hits Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Gholdengo, Kingambit, and Mega Scizor. The Special Attack drop can also be useful when facing down boosting special attackers like Volcarona and Tapu Lele. Magic Bounce prevents Hatterene from being afflicted by status moves, phazing, or Taunt, which makes it very hard for bulky teams to deal with. It also lets it block entry hazards for its team. Leftovers is the preferred item, as the consistent passive recovery helps Hatterene set up versus defensive Pokemon like Ting-Lu, Gliscor, and Clefable. Electric Seed is an option if Tapu Koko is a teammate, as Hatterene becomes very hard to break after a Defense boost. 132 Speed EVs let Hatterene outrun Ting-Lu.
Calm Mind Hatterene is a staple on hyper offense teams, which appreciate its ability to exert immediate pressure onto bulky teams while forcing offensive teams to respond to it quickly to prevent it from snowballing out of control. It does especially well with Dual Screens support, as direct damage is the only way to pressure Hatterene thanks to Magic Bounce, and Dual Screens support make Hatterene very bulky. Zamazenta and Tapu Koko are the tier's best Dual Screen setters, as they get the screens up reliably and have tools to dissuade opponents from setting up on them. Tapu Koko also sets Electric Terrain, which lets Hatterene run Electric Seed if it wants to. Other hyper offense staples can help Hatterene out by breaking down the opposition for it to have an easier time sweeping, or benefit from Hatterene battering down the opponent letting they themselves finish the opponent off. Gholdengo and Volcarona are notable partners. The three together form an extremely threatening specially offensive core that is very difficult to handle defensively. Gholdengo can soften up Special walls like Specially Defensive Garchomp and Gliscor for the other two to easily break past, and it takes pressure off of Hatterene to act as a team's Psychic-resist while also dealing with Galarian Slowking, which can be problematic at times. Volcarona helps out Hatterene by severely threatening most Steel-types, as Steel-type foes such as Melmetal, Gholdengo, and Kingambit represent Hatterene's most problematic matchups. Volcarona appreciates Hatterene helping keep hazards off the field for it, therefore letting it run an item other than Heavy-Duty Boots. A Dragon-type, such as Dragonite, Raging Bolt, Scale Shot Garchomp, or Mega Charizard X, is a valued partner as well, as they all have tools to threaten the aforementioned Steel-types that Hatterene dislikes and notably handle Heatran, which is a very poor matchup for Hatterene. These sweepers appreciate Hatterene breaking down bulky cores for them to clean up later. Other physical attackers that fit on hyper offense, such as Great Tusk, Mega Gyarados, Hawlucha, or Kingambit are good teammates for the same reason.

Healing Wish (Hatterene) @ Eject Button
Ability: Magic Bounce

- Psychic Noise
- Mystical Fire
- Nuzzle
- Healing Wish
[SET COMMENTS]
Healing Wish Hatterene is a unique support Pokemon that offers a distinctive blend of utility to its team thanks to Magic Bounce combined with an interesting support movepool and a workable defensive profile. Psychic Noise is the preferred STAB move, as it disrupts defensive cores consisting of Pokemon such as Gliscor, Alomomola, Zapdos, and Toxapex. Mystical Fire significantly pressures Ferrothorn and dissuades Steel-types such as Gholdengo, Mega Scizor, and Corviknight from switching in. Nuzzle allows Hatterene to spread paralysis onto foes such as Tapu Lele, Zamazenta, and Iron Valiant. It is also notable for paralyzing Gholdengo thanks to it being an attacking move, and it punishes Galarian Slowking and Heatran for switching in. Healing Wish allows Hatterene to heal an offensive teammate up to full when the situation requires it while also giving a teammate a free switch should the situation call for it. Magic Bounce allows Hatterene to block hazards and status from passive Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Gliscor, and Ting-Lu. Eject Button is the preferred item, as it allows Hatterene to act as a one-time pivot that can get an offensive teammate in for free. 132 Speed EVs let Hatterene outrun Ting-Lu.
Healing Wish Hatterene fits on aggressive offense teams that value Hatterene's unique combination of supporting options while giving its teammates a couple of free switches. Weather teams, in particular, appreciate Hatterene acting as a secondary form of hazard control while giving the weather abusers, such as Mega Charizard Y, Mega Swampert, Archaludon, or Raging Bolt, a free switch in opportunity. Hatterene must be used with care until the Eject Button is activated, as it is a one time use item and Hatterene doesn't want to take too much damage from its first hit if it wants to continue doing its job later. Bring Hatterene in on a foe that doesn't immediately threaten it with too much damage, such as Clefable, Toxapex, or Alomomola, and that you want to give a wallbreaker a free switch into to get the most value out of the Eject Button pivot. Strong wallbreakers such as Mega Mawile, Mega Diancie, Heatran, and Ursaluna appreciate Hatterene's pivoting abilities while also benefitting from Healing Wish late game, as many teams are not equipped to deal with these threats getting a new lease on life. These teammates also appreciate Hatterene disrupting the opponent's team with Psychic Noise and paralyzing the opponent with Nuzzle. Having another offensive pivot, such as Tornadus-T, Tapu Koko, or Urshifu-R is also valuable for Hatterene, as they give Hatterene more opportunities to come into battle. This is very helpful, as Hatterene's bulk can leave something to be desired even though its role often doesn't require it to come into battle more than a couple of times. They also work well as pivots for the aforementioned strong wallbreaking teammates that Hatterene often finds itself paired with, as Hatterene can only do it twice per game at most. Offensive teammates with severe weaknesses to entry hazards, such as Volcarona, Victini, and Tornadus-T appreciate Hatterene deflecting hazards from less threatening foes such as Ferrothorn, Clefable, and Gliscor while giving them as many opportunities to come in and wallbreak or setup as possible.
