Hey smogon world! This is my first 2009 RMT, so play nice!
Nature and EVs: 252 def and hp gives him incredible physical bulkiness, and the Impish nature just adds to that. I wasnt sure what to do with the last evs, so I just put them into attack to give a tinyboost to that STAB Earthquake.
Moves: Hippowdons standard set of moves (that im running) are fairly simple. Earthquake gets STAB and can take on Metagross and Infernape, SR is a staple on any stall team, Stone edge makes up the Quakedge combo, giving great coverage, and hitting neutral on Aerodactyl, then I finish up with slack off for that instant recovery I mentioned earlier.
Spiker and Phazer
Skarmory @lefties
Impish nature
EVs: 252 hp, 180 def, 78 atk
Spikes
Whirlwind
Brave Bird
Roost
Description: Is there a better spiker than Skarmory that can also phaze? If there is, id like to here about it. Skarmory is my big bad Hazard Man and first sandstorm resist. I usually bring him in on a salamence's dragon move or eartquake, then if its choiced I'l use spikes or if its DD I'l use whirlwind. The same applies for other stat uppers that have trouble with skarmory. Oh, and by the way, if you were going to say forretress was better for spikeing, I would have to disagree. 1: It lacks instant recovery other than rest, and 2: It cant phaze.
Nature and EVs: 252 hp for all around bulkiness, 180 def to raise his higher defensive stat, and 78 atk to boost the stab brave bird that is my only offensive attack.
Moves: Spikes is another entry hazard and a staple on stall teams, Whirlwind to phaze, Brave Bird as it gets STAB and is Skarmory's best offensive attack (IMO).
Bulky Offense
Scizor @Leftovers
Adamant nature
EVs:200 hp, 194 atk, 116 def
Bullet punch
X-Scissor
Brick Break
Roost
Description: Scizor is the bulky offense I believe every stall team should have. He comes in late game when my opponent has been worn down by my entry hazards, and starts cleaning up with bullet punch. I havnt got much to say here, but dont infract me yet, I'l make up for it in the other sections.
Nature and EVs: I cant believe this, but according to shoddy, with the above EVs and nature, my Scizor hits a sky high 567 atk! With the hp and def EVs, he also hits 331 hp and 265 def, making him relatively bulky. Add that to lefties, Roost and an immunity to T-Spikes, and youve got a great bulky sweeper.
Moves: Bullet punch for STAB, X-Scissor for the same reason, Roost for bulk, and Brick Break for coverage.
Status Queen and all around Pimp
Mismagius @lefties
Calm Nature
EVs: 252 sp.def, 158 hp, 100 sp.atk
will-o-wisp
Charge beam
Shadow ball
Pain Split
Description: Mismagius is my special wall #1 and status queen. She gets brought in to block a rapid spin or ruin a physical attacker with will-o-wisp. Without a sturdy ghost like Mismagius, this team would fall apart. She can also take on special attacking ghosts like Gengar, but that relies heavily on prediction, and she could probably only do that once my hazards are up.
Nature and EVs: Calm Nature and sp.def Evs make her incredibly Specially bulky. The Hp EVs add to the special bulkiness, but also give her some physical bulk to switch in on physical attackers and burn them.
Moves: Mismagius' moves are pretty straight-forward. Will-o-wisp to burn physical attackers, Shadow Ball for STAB, Charge Beam for coverage and that nice boost chance, and Pain Split for recovery.
Spinner and Status King
Tentacruel @Black sludge
Calm nature
EVs: 252 hp, 200 sp.def, 58 sp.atk
Surf
Toxic spikes
Sludge Bomb
Rapid Spin
Description: Tenatcruel adds 2 more necessities to a stall team: Toxic spikes and Rapid spin. Hes my Special wall #2 and status king. Hes also my first check to heracross, who runs through alot of my team. i usually bring him in on another tenta or suicune's surf, then t-spikes while they hopefully switch. Black sludge over lefties for those tricky little rotom that bother me so much.
Nature and EVs: Calm with 200 sp.def and 252 hp EVs because he's my special wall, and 58 sp.atk EVs to boost his STAB attacks.
Moves: Surf and Sludge bomb for STAB, and Rapid spin and Toxic spikes are staples.
Dual screener and Wish support
Jirachi @light clay
Hasty Nature
EVs: 152 spe, 200 hp, 58 atk, 100 def
Wish
U-turn
Light screen
Reflect
Desciption: Jirachi is my dual screener and Wisher. Its Wish is also vital to my team, keeping things like my mismagius and tentacruel alive longer that dont have reliable recovery. Light screen helps my physical defenders like hippowdon take those grass and water moves that are mostly special, and reflect does the same but with Earthquakes aimed at Tenatcruel.
Nature and EVs: Hasty nature with 152 spe to get set up faster, 200 hp for bulk, 100 def to take Earthquakes (note: only when reflect is up), and 58 atk to boost my U-turn.
Moves: Wish for support, Reflect and Light screen make up the Dual Screen combo that i use Jirachi for, and U-turn to pass on everything to my other memebers.
Introduction
This is a Stall team I built on shoddy a while ago, and have been using to a moderate success rate. It didnt take long to make, but I spent well over a day thinking about it, whereas i would normally spend no more than an hour. Obi's stall team helped as well. Dont worry, this isnt an exact copy of obi's team, I just used that as a guideline. So, on with the show!

Slack off
Description: Hippowdon leads off the team with a reliable Stealth rock. He's solid as a rock, and can normally get SR up without to much trouble. If, however, I see a taunt user, Earthquake or Stone edge will make a dent in them. Before, I had a donphan in this spot, but I then realised to things. 1: Hippowdon does the same job as donphan but better due to its instant recovery, and 2: Besides Donphan, 3 of my team were immune to sandstorm. So, I instantly switched to Hippowdon. So far, he has been much better and easier to use than Donphan.
