Healing Wish allows Latias to restore teammates. It also acts as a pseudo-pivot move to allow one of Latias's teammates in without taking damage from the foe. Defog lets Latias remove entry hazards for its teammates such as Volcarona, which greatly appreciate Stealth Rock being cleared from the field. Psychic allows Latias to do consistent damage to Pokemon it is tasked with checking such as Volcanion and Serperior. Ice Beam should be used if the team is weak to Gliscor and the aforementioned Serperior, while Draco Meteor lets Latias get off a big hit. Latias's item choice can be adapted to fit the needs of its team. Colbur Berry is used to survive Pursuit from the likes of Weavile and Bisharp while also letting Latias eat a Knock Off to get off a crucial Thunder Wave. Choice Scarf can be used on teams lacking speed control and setup sweepers. The Choice Scarf lets Latias come in on Speed-boosting threats such as Volcarona and Dragonite and cripple them by using Trick, locking them into a single move.
