[SET COMMENTS]

The whole point of this set is to take advantage of Heatran’s recently added move; Eruption, to become an effective anti-lead. When factoring in STAB the increased damage of Eruption as compared to Fire Blast is an impressive 45 points higher. By using Earth Power Heatran gains coverage against opposing lead Heatrans which are becoming more and more popular. Hidden Power Grass is probably the most useful coverage move on this set, as Heatran now has the ability to deal with two of the most popular leads in Swampert and Hippowdon. Explosion is a useful move for this set, but you will find yourself using it much less than you might expect. Because this Heatran is equipped with a Choice Scarf you would have to use Explosion right from the get-go.

As far as how Heatran handles common leads, the only lead in OU that will out speed it is TrickScarf Jirachi, who will do very little as you OHKO with Eruption. Heatran’s capabilities however go far beyond acting as an effective anti-lead, as he can be brought back in late game as an effective revenge killer. Eruption never loses its usability when you bring him back later in the game, as you should have successfully prevented your opponent from setting up Stealth Rock in the first place. Because Heatran has been successfully used as a Stealth Rock lead prior release of Eruption, this set is granted a great deal of unpredictability, which will make handling taunt leads carrying an attack that can OHKO much easier.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Anti-lead Heatran always enjoys the support of any Pokémon that either have Levitate or are of the Flying-type as it will give him a reliable switch to many of the attacks aimed at him. Gyarados, Rotom-A, and Gengar all get special mention as they all can take Ground and Fighting-type attacks, as well as Water attacks.

You may consider switching Hidden Power Grass to Hidden Power Ice or Dragon Pulse, as Hidden Power Ice has better coverage, and Dragon Pulse will help you revenge kill +1 Salamence. In place of Explosion you may want to try using Taunt or Stealth Rock, while you may be locked into non-attacking moves they can be very helpful to your team.

Eruption is currently not implemented into Shoddy Battle and won't be due to nature restrictions.

Additionally, Eruption Heatran is always Quiet.

"Dragon Pulse will help you revenge kill +1 Salamence"

Pretty sure +1 Mence will rape Heatran pretty hard with Earthquake after +1 , scarf or not ,,,,

Neutral nature'd HP Grass can't even OHKO Pert or Hippowdon. Sorry, closing this - too many things wrong with this set (as have been mentioned already in my post + earlier ones).
