Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature

- Stealth Rock
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt

Heatran emerged from its deep magma slumber to prove it's still worthy in OU! Heatran provides valuable role compression as a Steel-type with Stealth Rock, being a good setter due to its great matchup against common anti-hazard tactics from Corviknight, Galarian Weezing, and Hatterene while dissuading Great Tusk and Iron Treads from switching in. On top of letting it check Cinderace and Iron Moth, Flash Fire separates it from other Air Balloon Steel-types like Gholdengo and Kingambit by making it sturdier against Tera Blast Fire Kyurem, Mystical Fire Enamorus, and Fire Punch Dragonite. However, crippling the likes of Kingambit and Dragonite with Flame Body is also a game-changer. Heatran also forces progress against passive foes, shutting down Galarian Slowking, Blissey, and Toxic + Earthquake Gliscor with Magma Storm + Taunt. Tera Ghost helps against Zamazenta and Seismic Toss Blissey and lets it spinblock Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Heatran fits on bulky offense and offense teams, pairing well with usual faces like Ogerpon-W and Pecharunt; Ogerpon-W stacks hazards with Spikes and punishes Assault Vest Alomomola, one of Heatran's best answers, and Pecharunt covers foes like Ogerpon-W and Zamazenta.

Heatran provides valuable role compression as a Steel-type with Stealth Rock, being a good setter due to its insanely good matchup against common anti-hazard tactics in Corviknight, Galarian Weezing, and Hatterene while pressuring Great Tusk and Iron Treads from switching in. On top of checking Will-O-Wisp Dragapult and Iron Moth, running Flash Fire separates itself from other Air Balloon Steel-types like Gholdengo and Kingambit by being even sturdier against Tera Blast Fire Kyurem, Mystical Fire Enamorus, and Fire Punch Dragonite. (I would change this for Cinderace, since it is a pretty big Pokemon you have a good matchup against, up to you) However, crippling the likes of Dragonite and Kingambit with Flame Body is another game-changing value worth considering. It also forces progress against passive foes, shutting down Galarian Slowking, Blissey, Clodsire, and Toxic + Earthquake Gliscor with the tried and true Magma Storm + Taunt combination. Tera Ghost provides a Fighting immunity against Zamazenta and Seismic Toss Blissey and lets it spinblock Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Heatran fits on bulky offense and offense teams, pairing well with usual faces like Great Tusk, (would remove this if you are not going to further expand on it, Ogerpon-W and Pecharunt seem fine enough) Ogerpon-W, and Pecharunt; Ogerpon-W stacks hazards with Spikes and punishes Assault Vest Alomomola, one of Heatran's best answers, and Pecharunt covers foes like Ogerpon-W and Zamazenta.

Per your comment above I was intentionally aggressive on my changes to cut down on the characters; I have marked where I did so, so if you do not like those changes lmk, and I can adjust.
