* An exploitable 4x weakness to Ground-type attacks on top of weaknesses to other common offensive types such as Water and Fighting leaves weaken prone to common threats such as Landorus-T, Volkraken, Argonaught, and Colossoil.
* While it possesses notable Speed, Heatran can struggle to deal with most offensive threats in the metagame as they threaten to severely dent it before it is even able to fire a move off.

Set Details
========
* A Modest nature turns Heatran into a powerful wallbreaker, giving it a better chance to OHKO threats such as Gliscor and Mega Latios with Corkscrew Crash.

Not only do they help check Ground- and Water-types which can threaten Heatran otherwise, but Heatran can help check Fire-, Flying-, and Poison-types in return. Notable partners include Jumbao, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu. Jumbao and Tapu Bulu are notable as the former can sustain Heatran with Wish support while the ladder provides Grassy Terrain support which not only provides Heatran with extra recovery, but also weakens incoming Ground-type attacks.
* Offensive partners such as Necturna, Mega Alakazam, and Shift Gear Magearna appreciate Heatran's ability to break through their checks, most notably being Toxapex, Chansey, and Tomohawk.
* Pivots such as Tornadus-T, Krilowatt, Mega Crucibelle, and Landorus-T can all help Heatran come in more safely. Tornadus-T and Krilowatt are notable examples as they can help check Argonaught and Fidgit which can both annoy Heatran.

* Toxic is a great tool in wearing down common switchins such as Trace Jumbao, Mega Latios, Mega Alakazam, and Argonaught. It also works well in conjunction with Magma Storm trapping, as it applies extra chip damage which can help break through targets under the effect of it.
* Heatran usually finds multiple chances to setup Stealth Rock throughout the match due to it's ability to force out switchins repeatedly.
* Taunt is another useful option which can help deter walls under Magma Storm, preventing walls such as Toxapex and Tomohawk from recovering their health and chip down their health via Toxic and Magma Storm chip.

Set Details
========
* Firium Z boosts Heatran's Magma Storm to frightening heights, enabling it to break through walls such as Gliscor, Zapdos, and Mega Sableye.

* Inferno Overdrive such be selected against targets such as Gliscor, Mega Sableye, and Zapdos, as they can otherwise potentially wall Heatran otherwise.
* Be wary in switchin in against threats that Heatran can check such as Jumbao and Tornadus-T, as they both commonly run Hidden Power Ground which can severely dent Heatran.
* Toxic should be used to cripple switchins that Heatran can not dent significantly otherwise such as Argonaught, Mega Latios, and Suicune.
* Taunt can be used in conjunction with Magma Storm and Toxic to effectively cripple down passive walls that do not threaten Heatran immediately such as Chansey, Toxapex, and non-Earthquake Mew.

Moves
========
* Magma Storm is a more powerful yet unreliable option that also comes with the added benefit of trapping and wearing down Heatran's foes. Lava Plume can be used as a weaker alternative that is more spammable due to its higher PP and chance to burn.
* Earth Power is a great coverage option that targets Dragon-, Rock-, and opposing Fire-types such as Cyclohm, Mega Diancie, and opposing Heatran.
* Toxic helps break down common switchins such as Jumbao, Argonaught, and Mega Latias. It also helps break down trapped walls in conjunction with Magma Storm chip damage.
* Heatran is a superb Stealth Rock setter given its amazing typing which provides it multiple opportunities to come in and force switchins. Taunt may be used as an alternative to deter status moves like recovery and Defog in order to hamper trapped walls and block entry hazard removal respectively.

Set Details
========
* 128 Speed enables Heatran to outspeed Adamant Tyranitar, defensive Tomohawk, and Choice Specs Magnezone. The rest of the EVs are dumped into HP and Special Defense with a Calm nature in order to maximize Heatran's bulk, letting it better handle threats such as Magearna, Tornadus-T, and Auromoth. Flash Fire is Heatran's only viable ability, however it enables it to check threats such as Volcorona, Mollux, and Blacephalon.

Usage Tips
========
* Be wary of using Magma Storm too frequently, as its low PP means that Heatran can be left too passive to deal with the threats its intended to check once it ran out of it's powerful STAB move.
* Heatran will frequently be spamming Lava Plume as its high burn chance which can help cripple common switchins such as Zapdos, Rotom-W, Mega Sableye, and Argonaught.
* Toxic is a great means of crippling bulky Water-types such as Suicune, Argonaught, and Pelipper.
* Taunt should be utilized in conjunction with Magma Storm to effectively cripple most defensive walls such as Chansey, Toxapex, and Tomohawk.

Team Options
========
* Defensive Grass-types such as Jumbao, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu can help check Ground- and Water-type threats that can weaken while Heatran can help deal with Flying-, Poison- Ice-,, and opposing Fire-types in return. Jumbao also provides Heatran with additional Wish support while Tapu Bulu can set up Grassy Terrain which weakens Earthquake damage but also provides Heatran with even more passive recovery.
* Offensive threats that appreciate Heatran's ability to reliably setup Stealth Rock benefit immensely, with notable examples including Mega Crucibelle, Ash Greninja and Colossoil.
* Entry hazard removal is almost a necessity as Heatran can be worn down severely with Stealth Rock and Spikes up. Good removers include Tornadus-T, Tomohawk, Zapdos, and Gliscor.
* Checks to Fighting-types can be useful, with examples being Pajantom, Mega Latios, and Clefable, who all benefit in some form from Heatran's resistances to types such as Fairy, Ice, and Poison.
* While Heatran can be used to check threats such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, and Auromoth, having additional Steel-types like Magearna, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela can ease the burden on Heatran.
* Argonaught is a great partner to Heatran, as not only can it check most Water-, Ground-, and Fighting-types in the tier, but it can also provide Spikes support which can help Heatran cripple its checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Grassium Z can be used on offensive sets in conjunction with Solar Beam to lure in Water-types such as Argonaught, Rotom-W, and Suicine. However, Steelium Z and Firium Z's higher breaking power are generally always preferred.
* Roar on Specially Defensive sets can be a useful status sets to phaze out sweepers such as Shift Gear Magearna and Calm Mind Reuniclus while also providing extra hazard chip on incoming foes.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Argonaught, Rotom-W, Toxapex, and Krilowatt resist both of Heatran's STAB attacks and can threaten to weaken it down with their Water-type or other coverage attacks in return. However, Argonaught and Rotom-W must be wary of Toxic while Toxapex and Krilowatt can be dented by Earth Power. Toxapex is noteworthy as Taunt can prevent it from recovering while it remains trapped by Magma Storm.

**Ground-types*: Common Ground-type attackers such as Landorus-T, Colossoil, and Gliscor can all OHKO Heatran with Earthquake. However, they all cannot come in safely against offensive Heatran sets, while Gliscor can only come in against Specially Defensive sets.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Pajantom, Cyclohm, Mega Latios, and Mega Charizard X all resist Heatran's Fire STAB attacks and can threaten it out with coverage moves such as Earthquake, Surf, and Hydro Pump. However, Pajamtom and Mega Latios must be wary of Steelium Z sets while Cyclohm and Mega Charizard X don't appreciate switching into Earth Power.

**Trace Users**: Trace users such as Jumbao and Mega Alakazam can copy Heatran's Flash Fire ability and effectively come into Fire-type attacks. However, they both need to watch out for Steelium Z sets and Toxic crippling them.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off from common Pokemon such as Tornadus-T, Kartana, and Mega Mawile can hinder Heatran's sustainability on defensive sets due to Leftovers being its only form of recovery.

**Fighting-types**: Breakers such as Mega Medicham, Tomohawk, and Hawlucha can all hit Heatran super effetely, however they all struggle to switch into offensive sets and fear Lava Plume.

[OVERVIEW]

* Heatran poses as a threat to balance and defensive teams alike due to its amazing offensive and defensive typing alongside a great Special Attack and Speed stat which enables it to punch holes through most defensive cores. You say the same twice. I'd slightly restructure this sentence like "Thanks to Heatran's amazing offensive and defensive typing, alongside a great Special Attack and Speed stat, it can devastate many bulkier structures."
* Its defensive typing and solid bulk in conjunction with its ability lets Heatran check the majority of Fairy-, Grass-, and Psychic-types that are prevalent in the metagame, where most notable examples include Jumbao, Mega Mawile, Serperior, and Tapu Lele.
You talk about its defensive typing first so it makes sense to talk about that first. Additionally, Heatran is a pretty terrible check to most Dragon- and Fire-types.

* With unique access to the move Magma Storm in combination with other disrupting moves such as Taunt and Toxic, Heatran can effectively trap and break through common defensive threats such as Chansey, Tomohawk, and Clefable. Its coverage options such as Earth Power Solar Beam alongside its STAB moves enables it to effectively target the majority of the metagame for at least neutral damage as well. Thanks to this dense movepool, Heatran can run a variety of move and Z-Crystal (like?) options to bypass its checks (which checks specifically?), making it even more potent as a wallbreaker. I removed Solar Beam earlier because it shouldn't be talked about without Grassium Z, so you can add it here.
* Its defensive typing and solid bulk in conjunction with its ability lets Heatran check the majority of Fairy-, Grass-, Fire-, Dragon-, and Psychic-types that are prevalent in the metagame, where most notable examples include Jumbao, Mega Mawile, Serperior, and Tapu Lele.
* An exploitable 4x weakness to Ground-type attacks on top of weaknesses to other common offensive types such as Water and Fighting leaves weaken prone to common threats such as Landorus-T, Volkraken, Argonaught Mega Medicham, and Colossoil.

You should divide this into a couple different bullets. I'd mention that Psychic- and Fairy-types always run coverage for it. I'd also put bulky Water-types in general in their own bullet. You could also mention that Heatran is often overwhelmed by Ground-type moves run for Mega Crucibelle (Hidden Power Ground) on Pokemon like Tornadus-T and Jumbao, which it wants to check.

* While it possesses notable Speed (what does this mean), Heatran can struggle to deal with most offensive threats in the metagame as they threaten to severely dent it before it is even able to fire a move off. Give examples.
* A lack of reliable recovery hinders defensive sets, especially when Heatran is prone to Stealth Rock and Spikes.

The sturdiest of defensive checks would be Arghonaut, which it just can't overwhelm.
