[SET COMMENTS]

In a tier not short on strong Electric-types, Heliolisk carves out a solid niche thanks to its high Speed, Water immunity, and strong coverage against typical Electric-type checks, such as Seismitoad, Roserade, and Zarude. Volt Switch is particularly easy for Heliolisk to use effectively as it is able to threaten the likes of Rhyperior and Roserade, which typically attempt to sponge or outright block Volt Switch. Hyper Voice is a great secondary STAB move that hits Grass-types, such as Zarude and Roserade, for solid damage, and prevents Electric-types from easily switching in. Grass Knot OHKOes Seismitoad and Rhyperior after Stealth Rock and does respectable damage to Steelix. Surf can be used instead if hitting Alolan Marowak and Steelix is necessary for your team, but it will do much less damage to Rhyperior while completely missing out on Seismitoad and Gastrodon. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Heliolisk to come in on bulky Water-types while staying healthy to threaten slower offensive Pokemon, such as Cobalion and non-Choice Scarf Zarude, when necessary. Choice Specs and Choice Scarf are options to either give Heliolisk a power boost or much higher Speed, but this can inhibit its ability to switch in freely against Water-types. Solar Power should be chosen if Heliolisk is being used on full sun teams for its immense power boost, but such teams are niche and uncommon.

Heliolisk should be used with Pokemon that have major problems dealing with bulky Water-types. Stealth Rock setters like Steelix, Stakataka, Cobalion, and Diancie are some examples that work well at helping Heliolisk exert more pressure with Volt Switch while generally checking faster Pokemon, such as Noivern, Choice Scarf Darmanitan, and Choice Scarf Zarude. A Darmanitan of your own can form a powerful VoltTurn core with Heliolisk, which threatens Water-types and Rhyperior for it. Choice Band Metagross is a slower wallbreaker that loves not having to worry much about bulky Water-types, and it can severely pressure the likes of Dragalge, Porygon2, and Registeel with its powerful attacks should Heliolisk use Volt Switch as these Pokemon switch in. Diancie and Registeel are special walls that can sponge Heliolisk's attacks reliably and keep Heliolisk from getting rid of the likes of Seismitoad and Rhyperior. Volcanion and Ground-types, such as Rhyperior, can pummel these special walls with their powerful STAB attacks. Volcanion can utilize Toxic to cripple Porygon2 as well, while Rhyperior can either set up Stealth Rock or utilize a Choice Band to severely dent the opposition to help Heliolisk finish off a match with its good natural Speed. Incineroar can check Zarude and Darmanitan, appreciates Heliolisk so comfortably taking on most bulky Water-types, and can act as a slow pivot to get Heliolisk in safely. Spikes support from Klefki, Roserade, and Golisopod can really help Heliolisk apply Volt Switch pressure to special walls and sponges like Registeel, Umbreon, Dragalge, and Porygon2.

In a tier not short on strong Electric-types, Heliolisk carves out a solid niche thanks to its high Speed, Water immunity, and strong coverage against typical Electric-type checks, such as Seismitoad, Roserade, and Zarude. Volt Switch is particularly easy for Heliolisk to use effectively as it is able to threaten the likes of Rhyperior and Roserade that would typically attempt to sponge or outright block Volt Switch. Thunderbolt allows Heliolisk to threaten Pokemon like Volcanion and Togekiss while remaining on the field should the opponent lack a sufficient response. Hyper Voice is a great secondary STAB move that allows Heliolisk to hit Grass-types, such as Zarude and Roserade, for solid damage, and it also enables Heliolisk to hit fellow Electric-types for neutral damage, thus denying them an easy switch in. Grass Knot scores key OHKOes against Seismitoad and Rhyperior after Stealth Rock and also do respectable damage to Steelix. Surf can be used instead if hitting LIghtning Rod Alolan Marowak and Steelix is necessary an issue for your team, but it will do much less damage to Rhyperior while completely missing out on Seismitoad and Gastrodon. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Heliolisk to come in on bulky Water-types with near impunity throughout the match all while staying healthy to threaten slower offensive Pokemon, such as Cobalion and non-Choice Scarf Zarude, with its STAB moves when necessary. Choice Specs and Choice Scarf are options to either give Heliolisk a power boost or much higher Speed, but this can inhibit its ability to switch in freely against Water-types. Timid is required in order to capitalize on Heliolisk's great Speed tier, which lets it outpace offensive staples, such as Cobalion, Darmanitan, and Zarude. Dry Skin is a valuable ability to give Heliolisk a Water-type immunity, thus letting it consistently harass bulky Water-types, such as Suicune and Milotic, throughout the game with little fear of being worn down by them. you already explained why dry skin is valuable also timid is obvious Solar Power should be chosen if Heliolisk is being used on a full Sun teams as it essentially gives it a free Choice Specs boost, but such teams are niche and uncommon and inconsistent.

Heliolisk should be used with Pokemon that have major problems dealing with bulky Water-types. As such, Stealth Rock setters like Steelix, Stakataka, Cobalion, and Diancie work well at helping Heliolisk amplify the effects of its Volt Switch this isnt immediately obvious what you mean. say that it lets you pressure bulkier stuff in tandem with volt or something similar while generally checking faster Pokemon, such as Noivern, Choice Scarf Darmanitan, and Choice Scarf Zarude. A Darmanitan of your own can form a powerful VoltTurn core with Heliolisk as Heliolisk can not only remove bulky Water-types for Darmanitan to easily use Flare Blitz, but it also has Grass Knot to pummel Rhyperior and Seismitoad. Diancie and Registeel are special walls that can sponge Heliolisk's attacks reliably and work as a stop gap to keep Heliolisk from getting rid of the likes of Seismitoad and Rhyperior for its team. Incineroar can check Choice Scarf variants of Zarude and Darmanitan, appreciates Heliolisk so comfortably taking on most bulky Water-types, and can use a relatively slow Parting Shot act as a slow pivot (it can also run uturn) to get Heliolisk in safely. Spikes support from Klefki, Roserade, and Golisopod can really help Heliolisk apply Volt Switch pressure to special walls and sponges like Registeel, Umbreon, Dragalge, and Porygon2.
