hey everyone, I decided to build a team around sub + bulk up + roost corviknight and the pokemon that benefit from it. here’s the team I made, please let me know your opinions on it and anything I can change!

Clefable (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled

clefable serves as another bulky wincon + setup sweeper alongside corviknight, and she especially benefits from corviknight’s and/or kyurem’s pressure stalling pokemon such as toxapex, allowing her to come in and clean up any remaining pokemon left on the opposition. honestly I think clef is the team member most subject to change, because I just threw her on the team when I needed a bulky fairy type to withstand the attacks of powerful dragon type wallbreakers such as garchomp and the lati twins and threaten them with STAB super effective hits.

Volcarona (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Quiver Dance

another set-up sweeper, volcarona is the team’s fire type over mega charizard y and heatran and helps against troublesome pokemon like ferrothorn and mega scizor. i opted for hidden power ground over giga drain or hidden power ice to help against heatran who troubles most of the team and would otherwise wall it ad infinitum.

Corviknight (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 144 SpD / 68 Spe
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Bulk Up
- Substitute
- Roost

the star of the team, corviknight serves as the premier bulky wincon of the team, and enables many of the set-up sweepers by pressure stalling with roost, allowing him to outlast obstacles to a potential sweep such as toxapex and heatran. honestly, I wanted to fit taunt to fully shut down toxapex and/or body press as to beat heatran 1v1, but unfortunately I can’t without sacrificing one of corviknight’s great utility moves and STAB.

Tyranitar-Mega (M) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Dragon Dance
- Pursuit

mega tyranitar and corviknight form an excellent core due to ttar directly beating almost every check to corviknight, and appreciates corviknight beating threats to ttar such fairy as fighting types through set-up. i opted for dragon dance over stealth rock or any other coverage as to give ttar a boosting move, allowing him to muscle past would-be checks with enough boosts.

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Defog

ttar not running stealth rock and corv not running defog? here’s a sr setter and defogger all in one! landorus serves as the quintessential glue pokemon to every OU team, and this one is no exception. his utility is nearly unrivaled by many different pokemon, and it especially shows here. the listed EV spread I went with is so that he becomes bulky enough to tank most physical hits in a pinch, but fast enough to outspeed a good portion of the pokemon in the tier, allowing him to pivot into another teammate to take a devastating hit for him.

Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Roost

kyurem is another great wincon, but unlike corviknight, it doesn’t require set-up to be terrifying. it can prove itself to be an immediate threat as soon as it gets up a substitute. freeze-dry is used over ice beam to hit bulky waters that it would otherwise struggle with, and earth power is the coverage move of choice over focus blast or dragon pulse because of its perfect accuracy and its ability to hit bulky steel types hard. again, like clefable, kyurem is also subject to change, as I really needed a pokemon to beat ground types such as garchomp and landorus-t, as the rest of the team struggles against them offensively

again, let me know your thoughts on the team and anything you’d change!

Clefable is usually Unaware, that might be better.

I'm not sure it's wrong, but 2 dark attacks on TTar bothers me.

Hey im pretty sure thats what he meant. Magic Guard is better overall due to ignoring passive damage and pursuit is there to trap, while it is unorthodox to have dragon dance + pursuit its not that far off. not here to rate just correct the person above

crunch is for ttar’s always reliable dark type STAB and pursuit is for when the opponent switches out. for instance, if I switched crunch for something like heavy slam or fire punch, then I wouldn’t be able to reliably get some good damage in on psychic or ghost types without crunch (although a few dragon dance boosts could potentially alleviate this issue)

magic guard bypasses passive damage from poison, burn, entry hazards, and sandstorm, so it requires less maintenance than it would be to run unaware. unaware also doesn’t do too much for clef aside from allowing her to always beat set-up sweepers one-on-one, which seems appealing at first but then you miss out on the huge benefits of magic guard. really, magic guard clef is a lot easier to slot onto teams than unaware clef
