Hello,

I'm new here on Smogon and don't know where to place a introduce topic.
I'm Steff and i'm a thirteen years old boy from Belgium(i speak Dutch).
My hobby's are Pokémon,Drawing,Tennis,Swimming,Nintendo,... Just ask if you want to know smoething! ( I don't bite ;) )

Well this was a short introduce topic.
I hope i enjoy my time here on Smogon. :)

I've also got a question : I want to have a cute luvdisc in my team but the articles here about luvdisc,are they serious?Can i use luvdisc in that way?

Hey Steff. Welcome to Smogon. The articles that you read are only a way to guide you to help you use that Pokemon to the best of it's abilites. No one's telling you how to use it, it's merely a suggestion. You can follow it to help you work on your first team. If you need any questions, I'm on the Smogon University server on Shoddy Battle, if you need to know how to download Shoddy Battle, PM me.

Well, I can't think about a creative moveset myself,so i think that i just "make" pokémon from the articles. Maybe a stupid question but are this pokémon really for battling in D/P,etc...?
And an other question aabout Iv's , are they nessecary for pokémon?Well,take a look at the article about the pokémon Luvdisc,only bad things about this pokémon.Does this mean the articles are just jokes or what?

Pokey, you're like in every thread, just trolling or getting your postcount ++. Why not actually give people some information or something?

On topic: The article for Luvdisc is there because Luvdisc isn't used in competitive D/P battling. If you look at some other (serious) Pokemon like Scizor, Heatran, and Lucario, you'll see that it is indeed competitive D/P battling. Luvdisc is rarely (if ever) used in OU, UU, and it's even rarely used in NU, due to the fact that Clamperl outclasses it, in NU. Other than that, people are very serious about the analysis. It just depends on what Pokemon you're looking for.

Hi Dragonair99 and welcome to Smogon.

As you guessed, the analyses for really bad pokemon are intended to be humourous, since the pokemon aren't actually usable at all. These sorts of threads don't promote discussion, but in a while you may want to consider posting in this thread.
