Hell's fury and a fairy

Ascending from the depths of hell, a faction of monsters came to wreak havoc. And when fairies descended from heaven to stop the massacre, they absorbed one of them to become even more destructive.

Atleast that's how I see my team :p Anyway, this is my team.

The lead:

Torterra @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 124 HP / 252 Atk / 4Def/ 128 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Synthesis

Role:

An excellent lead. Although team preview has made dedicated leads rather ineffective, torterra functions really well in this role. My team needs only stealth rock as it helps beat the biggest threats to my team while breaking focus sashes. Once rocks are up, torterra can continue to hit like a truck with its high bp STAB while tanking with the help of synthesis.

Description:

The evs are pretty straightforward. Max attack for max damage. Adamant nature to give a higher damage output. The speed evs are for outspeeding uninvested neutral natured mega tyranitar.

Leftovers helps it tank hits. Combined with reliable recovery in synthesis, it's hard to take down. Wood hammer is a powerful STAB move and is a must on this set. Earthquake hits whatever wood hammer can't hit hard enough, harder; namely fire types and steel types.

Overgrow has some utility on the set. It gives torterra a boosted attack to use when low on hp.

The stall-breaker/enforcer:

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 32 SDef / 208 Spd
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Snarl

Role:

What can I say about this guy? He is truly an excellent stall-enforcer and a deadly stall breaker. Prankster makes him insanely good at what he does. What I love most about him is his ability to beat magic bounce espeon, a major threat to stall, with no trouble at all.

Description:

Max hp for bulk. Needs every last hit point to be effective. Speed evs allow him to taunt prankster smeargle before it can spore. The rest are pumped into special defense.

He stalls with a combination of taunt, will-o-wisp and recover against physical threats while snarl allows him to take on the likes of espeon, gengar and the lot. Leftovers provides the steady recovery that he needs.

The supporter:

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Baton Pass

Role:

Every team needs a poke to provide the things that it is lacking in. The original fairy does exactly that for mine. It's my healer/booster/fighting check.

Description:

Ev spread maximises physical bulk, which is very important for this set's functionality. Bold nature for even more physical defense.

Calm mind allows it to boost it's good special attack and excellent special defense making it very difficult to deal with. Moonblast is STAB and a way to hammer fighting types that dare to stay in. It also helps win calm mind wars against the lati@s. Wish allows it to heal itself and it's team-mates. Baton pass has excellent utility. Being slow, it mostly goes second so the receiver comes in unscathed. Both stat boosts can be useful to it's team-mates making it a great team player.

It's ability, cute charm, may help in certain match-ups.

The tormentor:

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 44 SDef / 220 Spd
Calm Nature
- Torment
- Substitute
- Protect
- Lava Plume

Role:

Annoy, annoy, annoy. Stall the world to death. Tormentran is still a great poke to use. Makes an excellent partner for torterra and vice-versa.

Description:

Substitute and protect combined with torment makes heatran the epitome of annoyance. Once it's counters are taken care of, it's game over. Although it's a long and frustrating process :D

Special tank:

Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Water Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse

Role:

A member of the offensive core of my team. Tanks hits well while being able to hit hard with it's moves. It has excellent coverage with water/dark/fighting moves. And it's my bulky rapid spinner.

Description:

Max bulk and max special attack. Standard special tank spread.

With mega launcher boosting water pulse, aura sphere and dark pulse, blastoise hits hard with excellent coverage. It is often a recipient of calm mind boosts, turning it into a bulky special sweeper. Rapid spin support is always a welcome option.

The physical tank:

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Focus Punch
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch

Role:

The physical tank in the offensive core. Packs quite a punch (pun intended) with it's attacks while tanking hits for the team.

Description:

The spread makes conkeldurr very hard to take down on the physical side while giving him the firepower he needs to punch (pun intended) holes into the opponent.

Drain punch is conkeldurr's way of healing itself while dishing out damage. Ice punch is an excellent coverage move, slays dragons and pummels gliscor/ landorus. Mach punch is powerful priority. Focus punch deals a ton of damage to even pokemon who resist it and is easy to pull off given that he forces many switches.

Life orb adds to the iron fist boost making conkeldurr one of the hardest pokes to switch into.

Well, that's my team. Please rate and give me your valuable feedback :)
