Help a n00b RMT [OU]

Hm, so with the release of HG, I decided to try Pokemon once more. Ultimately, I want to create a WiFi team (which means, for me, no Rotom, since I don't have the means to transform it), but first, I've made my team on Shoddy. Yeah, my team is pretty standard.. I've tested it on Shoddy, and it's done pretty well. The only thing it's had trouble with, though, is Stallrein.

Weavile @ Focus Sash
Hasty
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Fake Out
- Counter
- Taunt
- Night Slash

As the Smogon Strategy Pokedex says, this functions as an anti-lead. I kind of like it, due to countering Metagross and the like, and fake out is good for breaking focus sashes, but other than that... it's not my favorite pokemon. I was thinking of switching Night Slash for maybe Ice Shard, for better coverage, or just replacing it entirely. Not sure how, though.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Impish
252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

My physical wall, kind of. I use it to defend against Heracross and Lucario's, which I guess the speed EV's are for? Stealth Rock helps, as it's the only Stealth Rocker I have. I feel like Gyarados does his job enough though.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Timid
4 HP/ 252 Spe/ 252 Sp. A
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

Dang, the type coverage on this thing is awesome. It serves as my only rapid spinner, as well as an awesome special sweeper. Boltbeam for hitting almost everything, surf for STAB. I was thinking of changing to modes though, for a little more power.

Gengar@ Leftovers
Timid
4 HP/ 252 Spe/ 252 Sp. A
- Substitute
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Ah, my other special sweeper. Substitute is good for switch-ins, and gives me a wall to fire from. Shadow ball is good STAB, and HP Fire for annoying Scizors. Like Starmie, I'm thinking of changing him to Modest for the extra power.

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant
252 Attack / 252 Spe / 4 Def
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

The only physical attacker on my team, other than Gliscor, if you count it as one. Dragon Dance setting up is great, and has dominated quite a few teams after I got one or two in. Pretty standard set, not much else to say.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Calm
24 HP / 252 Def / 232 SpD
- Seismic Toss
- Wish
- Protect
- Flamethrower

Standard Blissey special wall. I opted to give it both flamethrower and seismic toss for more coverage, I guess? Toxic didn't seem that appealing to me. I was thinking of replacing something for Ice Beam, though.

Thanks so much for reading! Help is really appreciated~

As soon as Electivire grabs a speed boost from Starmie you might as well say GG. You could remove Thunderbolt for Grass Knot so it is physically impossible for Electivire to gain the edge or you could give Gengar a Choice Scarf and forget the sub set which is weak IMO.

However Scarf Tyranitar also gives this team a beatdown so Sub may be needed. Grass Knot is also better than Thunderbolt in case Tyranitar switches in on you trying to nail Swampert or something.

You say this team has done well on Shoddy, I find it hard to believe unless you think staying under 1300 is well. Let's hope my post starts the fire for more assistance.

I personally think before anyone can give you major help you need to understand your team better. Find a purpose and a reason for what you do dont just say "I guess" to everything. The more knowledge you have about your team the more success you will get out of it.
