What's the general counter to spike setters?? >_> my team is getting crippled really badly by the spikes...

genearal descp of my team:

Starter: Jolteon (HP Ice)

Striker: Weaville (Phys) Porygon-Z (Spec)

Wall: Umbreon (Snatch build) Suicune (Rest/Sleep talk build)

Supporter: Crobat (/w Haze)

my opponent starts with Donaphan... and has Focus Sash... and always have 1 HP left from Jolteon's HP Ice... :( what is my best choice??

Starmie is a little o_o at spinning, though. Unlike most other spinners, it's Defense is so-so and it's weak to Pursuit (it utterly dies to Tyranitar. Starmie's Surf can't OHKO even with Choice Specs and it will just OHKO you back with CBed Pursuit, switch or not)

I like forry since its got great typing, can spikes/SR and rapid spin, as well as having light screen, and earthquake making it a great metagross and tyranitar counter.

forry?? O_o what poke is that ?? sorry I havn't memorized all the poke yet... are you talking about fortress? how is cloyster against donphan??? but if I do choose a spike/spinner... who should I take out from my set??

Yeah, he meant fortress, and you should visit Serebii.com and take a look at their attackdex. Just look up the move "rapid spin" and it'll show you a list of Pokemon that learn that attack.

rapid spin is so limited to a few selected pokemon :( and the ones of any use are so situational... and it semes like a waste for a team to dedicate a slot just to get rid of spikes :( is there a way to PREVENT stealth rock? is there a move to prevent a use of an item??

Taunt prevents stealth rock I think, so a fast taunter such as Gyarados, Infernape or Houndoom could work well for that purpose, but as I said, Forretress makes a good option since it effectively fills 3 purposes (Wall, spinner, spiker), so you wont be wasting a slot.

No. Enjoy your 50% damage switch ins, Moltres! Thanks GameFREAK!

sigh... :( i can understand spike... it doesn't affect flying / levitate users... but stealth rock? what the heck!! :( it's so cheap against a team without spinners... and how many team have one...

Snatch won't do anything if something already has used a stat upper.

Taunt won't stop Stealth Rock unless you put it on all 6 of your Pokemon, since they only need one turn to use it, and you aren't going to have your taunter out all of the time.
