Disclaimer: I am very new to competitive battling, dabbling in it very briefly in gen 5.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Psyshock
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
A standard Starmie set, made for sweeping. He can do quite a lot of damage. However, with Greninja, he gets outsped. The Psyshock for psy coverage is great, however, a switch to Greninja may be in order, with psy covered by Mr. Mime.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Focus Blast
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Poison]
Goodra is amazing. With it's base 150 SDef + 252 SDef EV, and Assault Vest, I can reliably send him
in on pretty much any special attacker. It has taken multiple Ice Beams to the face and gone on to kill 2 opposing Pokemon. Since I have Assault Vest on it, Goodra cannot use a non attacking move, so I put 4 different SAtk
moves on it. Draco Meteor for a hard hitting STAB, Focus Blast for pesky Steel/Dark types, Flamethrower for extra coverage, and HP Poison for Fairy types, if I know Goodra can survive a Fairy move and KO the Fairy.
Exploud @ Choice Specs
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Focus Blast
- Ice Beam
- Surf
Boomburst. It's a STAB Hyperbeam with no rest turn. I can Nasty Plot/Baton Pass into this guy to
pretty much guarantee a 1HKO on anything, except for high SDef resistant tanks, and even then it usually gets them to around 10%. With Scrappy, Exploud can also hit ghosts. The one area Exploud will find problems is with Speed. I may change his item to a Choice Scarf to
get around this problem.
Mr. Mime @ Focus Sash
Ability: Filter
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Reflect
- Thunderbolt
- Nasty Plot
- Baton Pass
Mr. Mime usually acts as my starter. Based on the team threats, I will go into a Reflect, then usually
Nasty Plot/Baton Pass into a SAtker, or just use TBolt. Not much to be said about this guy, I'm not sure what I can do to improve his moveset or evs. Looking for a replacement for him.
Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Brave Nature
- King's Shield
- Swords Dance
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak
Pretty standard Aegislash set, I have Weakness Policy on him to turn him into a monster when he
gets hit by anything dangerous.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
Ferrothorn is weird. He is a very good SDef tank, but sometimes can feel dead on the team. Stealth
Rocks is great for the Mega Charizards, but Spikes would probably have better coverage. Leech Seed feels like a dead move, I'm unsure of when to use it. He is also one of my only safe switches into Fairy Types. There is some repetitiveness with Steel Type (Aegislash and Ferrothorn)
Mime.
