Help my Standard team not get ripped by SS teams

This is a Shoddy team so all of them are at 31 IVs.

Scizor@Life Orb
Technician
Adamant
232 HP/252 Att/26 Att
-Swords Dance
-Roost
-Night Slash
-Quick Attack

I'm thinking of replacing Night Slash with X-Scissor. I just thought Nigh Slash provided better coverage before. I rarely get a Roost in so I'm thinking of putting either Agility or BP in there, that way if a counter comes in I can BP to someone else who can sweep.

Gyarados@Leftovers
Intimidate
Adamant
212 HP/16 Att/180 Def/102 Spd
-Dragon Dance
-Ice fang
-Taunt
-EQ

He's hard to set up without being a lead so I might switch him and Scizor. Ice fang+EQ provides good coverage.

Blissey@Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold
150 HP/252 Def/4 Spd/104 Sp. Att
-Softboiled
-Aromatherapy
-Flamethrower
-Thunder-Wave

Great all around. Destroys sweepers. Flamethrower because my team lacks fire moves, however I rarely use Flamethrower so I might switch it back to Ice Beam. Team support with Aromatherapy.

Gliscor@Leftovers
Sand Veil
Impish
252 HP/252 Def/6 Att
-Aerial Ace
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Roost

Great wall and Heracross and Garchomp counter.

Mesprit@Choice Specs
Levitate
Timid
252 Spd/252 Sp Att/6 HP
-Ice Beam
-Grass Knot
-Psychic
-T-Bolt

Most people don't expect Mesprit over Azelf or the Choice Specs version. He provides the sweeping I need but is bulky enough to take hits.

Suicine@Leftovers
Pressure
Bold
252 HP/252 Def/6 Sp. Att
-Calm Mind
-Surf
-Roar
-Rest

My favorite pokemon and a great pokemon.

Another problem is the abundance of Leftovers but Item Clause isn't included in the Shoddy ladder so it's not too big a problem. This team works great against any team besides SS teams. Suggestions please.

Bump. I know UU and NU teams are much more interesting, but I still need help. My team does really well against anything that's not an SS team. This is partly due to a lack of sweepers I suppose. I don't really know how to make this team more effective against SS teams while still keeping it doing as well as it has against other standard teams.

Are you a member of Advance Wars Net?
Why yessirs I ams. Nice to see a familiar face here. Usually I just lurk here as I can't add much to competitive discussions.

I love the set, but I reccomend switching him with Gyarados. Most other leads either set up on, or kill you. Gyarados will Taunt them to hell.

Yeah, he's better late-game anyway. I'll have to experiment with different movesets as Night Slash rarely gets use, albeit the fact that it provides the best coverage.

I've tested Blissey with both Ice Beam and Fire Blast (2HKOs Skarm, but you have SA EVs for that). Fire Blast / Flamethrower hits some of Blissey's counters harder, but Ice Beam makes sure Garchomp can't happily switch in every time. I reccomend Ice Beam for you, since Gyarados can't switch in forever to stop chomp.

Fair enough. Most of the pokemon Bliss hits with Fire are physical-oriented anyway (Scizor, Forretress, Weavile, etc.) so I usually can't do much.

Swords Danced Outrage is easily a 2HKO. Give it Ice Fang somewhere so you can at least hit chomp before it kills you.

Oh, forgot he had access to Ice Fang. I'll do that but it's hard to sacrifice either AA or EQ. AA deals with Heracross and EQ provides great coverage and STAB.

Yeah, he's really good at forcing switches and sometimes late-game. Sometimes I get a surprise kill with Grass Knot. He just rarely KO's, usually causes switches.

You will find many times where you wish you had Ice Beam, but still its a great set.

Also true, but none of the other moves are replaceable. Roar helps with the Phazing and pokes Gyarados can't Taunt.

No one uses item clause. Its ok.

True enough, just makes me feel guilty..

A good team, but you might have some troubles with Garchomp. Chomp won't 6-0 you, but it will definately give you a handfull.
I know from experience that he's a handful for this team. =)

Chomp gives everyone a bit of trouble usually. My usual Chomp killers are fast, hard-hitting sweepers like Starmie so it's a little hard for me to KO it with a team of walls. But that's kind of why my team is strong against most teams I play so >_>

Hah. Guess who I am.

Mr. Nude...well, that wasn't hard. =P

No for me! Hail team lol.

Props for going and Hail and not SS. I generally hate weather teams in general since I think they're just full of faggetry and gey but that's just me (no offense to anyone).

Ice Beam on Suicune would stop almost every Chomp varient except Choice Band. But it would require a moveset you can't give up.

I guess with Ice Fang on Gliscor (you *could* remove Aerial Ace, since Heracross can't kill you anyway barring several critical hits) and Ice Beam on Blissey, Garchomp shouldn't be too much trouble for you.

This is why I love using a snow team...

yeah, a dilemma. I could get rid of Roar but that puts the burden on Gyarados to Phaze which kind of sucks for him.
