Hi all, I’m back after a while, and I’d really appreciate some help with this specs darkrai balance team that I’ve been working on. It has some weird move choices but here me out.

Flinchinator (Darkrai) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Bad Dreams
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Sludge Bomb
- Ice Beam
- Knock Off
I really wanted to spam choice specs dark pulse, so I built the team around supporting darkrai. The normal coverage, without focus blast since I don’t think I should be fucking around with a 70 acc move when my psycho boost accuracy is around 60%. Anyway knock over trick is a move choice which I am testing to break fat structures with hazard stacking, the idea being that you knock the special wall and then it will be taking specs dark pulses combined with hazards. Tera dark is just to increase dark pulse’s damage output to absurd levels but I guess you could run poison to OHKO

Slow Foe (Slowking-Galar) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Flamethrower

I wanted a pivot that could take on fairies as well as pivoting
in, which means I would choose between AV
and
. I went with
because it has better longevity and also to act as a secondary
check. Flamethrower over Toxic because without it the team gets owned by Tera steel
. Tera Water for the sun RMT teams that might be getting spammed.

Idk if this
set is optimal, but essentially I wanted
to set up hazards and be able to pivot
in. I came up with this, my thought process being that
can just U-turn out of anything that tries to abuse the fact that you only have toxic. It also is great since it provides the team the ground and electric immunities necessary, which
really appreciates. Tera ghost is for toxicing
and being a budget spin blocker. Let me know if there’s a better set out there. I’m also thinking of making it sp def.

, as well as spreading para and annoying other hazard setters with encore. It can also be a secondary check to some

I wanted a spinner that is also a

went on the team. I could possibly make it defensive to last longer on the field though. Since this is my only

I wanted a cleaner that appreciated special walls being weakened and also provided strong priority, and at first I tested
. However, it was too slow and stacked weaknesses with
and
. So I scoured the tier for a special cleaner that acted as speed control and possessed strong priority. That mon was this one. It outspeeds the entire unboosted tier, and with maximum attack investment extreme speed hits a lot of the common speed boosting sweepers in the tier hard. Here’s some calcs:

252 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-Speed Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 124 Def Iron Moth: 116-136 (38.5 - 45.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
With Tera Normal,
smacks all of these mons even harder. Not only that, but Extreme Speed can allow
to play fun mind games with
. The loss of power for Psycho Boost and Ice Beam isn’t too noticeable either, and while
hard walls you now, that’s what
and
are for. However, if a mon fills this role better or if there’s a more optimal EV spread, please let me know.
Overall the team is pretty fun to play with, and actually quite decent, but def not even close to optimal, and I am skeptical of the double ground mons. Please help me out with the team, and thank you.
