Help with my Azelf

Right now I'm planning to make my Azelf a BoltBeamer. However, I don't know what moves to get rid of for it.
Nature : Mild
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Uproar(For the magikarp guy)
ExtraSensory.

Also, my EV's were supposed to be 252 speed, 252 sp.atk and 6 defence, but I am unsure if Azelf's speed should be so high since it's base speed is already quite high.

Any help will be apprieciated. Thanks.
 
I'm pretty new to all these Ev's, Iv's and such, so I'm not sure why HPIce is required for a boltbeamer.
What other movesets could I use for Azelf?
 
Can anyone help me with my EV's then? I'm not sure what it'd need to outspeed other Pokemon.
I added the Defence points because Azelf's defence is really lacking, I can remove them with a berry if it would be better for the points to go into another stat.
 
The reason HP Ice is required for a Boltbeamer is simple.

Boltbeam = Thunderbolt (the Bolt) and Ice Beam (the beam)

Azelf can't learn Ice Beam, so he can't Boltbeam. He can use HP Ice if you can catch one with it, so you have Thunderbolt and a weaker Ice Beam, but that's it. Good luck catching an Azelf with HP Ice!
 
Oh, well I can't do a boltbeamer then, I've already caught my Azelf and doubt it's got the IV's for HPIce.

I'm still pretty stuck with my Azelf. Can someone tell me what IV's my Azelf has?

193 Sp.Atk
90 SP.Def
147 SPD
Somewhat vain

You need the HP and Level to fully use IV finding. List and I shall find. Alternatively, you can use Serebii's IV calculator - http://www.serebii.net/games/iv-calcdp.shtml - and do it yourself.
 
I really didn't understand that calculator, I'm not sure whether or not I did it right, but apparently I've got HPFighting, Not sure what my IV's are though.

The Azelf analysis covers Smogon's recommended movesets and EV spreads. It's really the whole reason we analyzed all the pokemon in the first place, so new users like yourself can go and read them and know what our first recommendations would be on any given pokemon. In fact, threads like these are against the rules because we have covered every single pokemon on first glance before!

As for specifics on any pokemon, it all depends on the team. The analysis reviews the individual pokemon but what good are six individual pokemon when they're supposed to be part of a team? If you want our opinions about that, read the rules about RMTs and then post a complete one in the RMT section.

For IV calculators I recommend Metalkid's site until we get our own site back up and running. It is easy enough to figure out if you know anything about IVs. If you don't, I suggest reading the first part of this thread.

In general, when you're new to a forum I suggest looking around and reading a few things like rules and other topics about what you're interested in before just going off and posting whatever next time.
