As the title says, this is my first team. I played RBY through DP casually and XY is my first time trying out the competitive.
I watched a few guides/battles on YouTube and read up all the uncharted threads. They all seem relatively solid as individual units, I just don't know about their synergy. I manage to do pretty well against my friends a lot of the time, but they don't have fully IV bred or EV trained pokes and don't take the game too seriously.
Any suggestions for improvements or ideas on how I should play?
I usually lead with Greninja to get spikes up, and the protean means it usually won't get hit by anything too hard if I can predict their first move, and sometimes I can even OHKO sometimes with the STAB ice beam. Then I've just been switching at random times, not really putting too much thought into the team.
Again; totally new to smogon and competitive play. Apologies if this is in the wrong place or I've done something I shouldn't have.
