Alright, it's time for the Slate 7 Hiding Phase to begin! Submissions will be done through a form in the mod's Discord, which you can join here. If you're unable to use Discord for any reason, please contact me privately on Smogon and we can work something out. The submission rules are the same as in previous slates, but I've made a few clarifications, so please do look at the bolded sections below.
For this slate, each submitter will be able to submit one change to a Pokemon, move, ability, or item.

Remember, these changes should legitimately improve the OU viability of at least one Pokemon. If I don't feel a change does enough (or does too much), you will be asked to submit something else. Due to the more developed state of the H&S meta, I will now be judging submissions on their viability in Hide and Seaking OU rather than a theoretical NatDex OU.

Additionally, if an element was changed previously, it cannot be changed again. For Pokemon, this means you cannot change a singular mon's stats, abilities, or type(s) more than once, and cannot add/remove the same move more than once.

ALL CHANGES MUST BE VISIBLE IN THE TEAMBUILDER IN SOME CAPACITY, whether through changed values, a new description, or some other means.

Rules for Pokemon submissions:
- You may change one Pokemon.
- You may change any one of: stats, abilities, movepool, type(s).
- Only one stat can be changed at once (for example, giving a Pokemon +20 Speed would be fine, but giving it +10 Attack and +10 Speed would not).
- Similarly, only one ability can be changed, only one move can be added/removed, and only one of the Pokemon's types can be changed at one time.
- If you are changing a Pokemon's type, one STAB move of the new type may be added along with the type change.

Rules for Move submissions:
- You may change one move.
- You may change any of the following: type, base power, accuracy, PP, move effect.
- If you want to change a move's distribution, that is a Pokemon submission, not a move submission.
- If you are changing a move's effect, the move's description will need to reflect that change.

Rules for Ability submissions:
- You may change the effect of one ability.
- If you want to change an ability's distribution, that is a Pokemon submission, not an ability submission.
- When you change an ability's effect, that ability's description will need to reflect that change.

Rules for Item submissions:
- You may change the effect of one item.
- You may not change other aspects of the item (such as Fling BP or ability to be knocked off), as they cannot be shown in the builder.
- When you change an item's effect, that item's description will need to reflect that change.

Changes will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, so any overlapping changes will go in favor of the first change submitted, with the other one having to be redone.

For this slate, these are the only things that can be changed. This may be different in future slates, so stay tuned for that.

Due to the long turnover from signups and the fact that I struggled last slate to look at every submission while juggling real life duties, the Hiding Phase this slate will last for 72 hours. I recommend submitting your change early so that there's time for revisions if any problems arise. With that being said, let the games begin!

Since I'm only just now getting to review some of the submissions, I'll be extending the Hiding Phase by 18 hours in order to give folks time to make necessary changes.

PQRDG Orangesodapop This is yall's last warning to get your subs in. Hurry up!

Alright, slightly belated, but the Hiding Phase is now over! I'll post the scheduler for the Seaking Phase on the Discord in a little bit.

The changes are now live! You can find them in the Hide and Seaking format on http://petmodsdh.com/ (or http://191.101.232.116/ if that link doesn't work), and you can submit discovered changes through the form pinned in the Discord.

As a reminder, the last 5 changes found will win! Everyone who made a submission for this slate (including those that were vetoed) may participate in Seaking. Additionally, the person who finds the most individual changes will be able to add any discovered change including their own, while the person with the second-most will be able to add any discovered change besides their own.

I've also written out an official set of Seaking rules for this slate, so that people no longer have to rely on word-of-mouth information. You can read them below.
Each Seaker may submit one discovered change every 5 minutes. Submissions made within the 5-minute cooldown period will be voided. However, incorrect submissions, as well as submissions of changes that were already discovered, do not have a cooldown.

Like with Hiding, discoveries will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Correct discoveries will be announced in the #discovered-changes channel on the mod's Discord. If you don't see a change you submitted being announced, be patient, as I do everything manually and often lag a little behind.

DO NOT MISUSE THE FORM. You may think it's funny to put joke answers, but it makes my job much harder. You will only receive a single warning for spamming/trolling, and if you do not listen, you will be disqualified from the current slate and barred from participating in the next slate as well.

Seaking is now over! Here's the winners:

Starting off, we have three Pokemon adjustments: Yoshiblaze, ihbst, and Gekokeso with Komala, Porygon, and Volcanion!

And here are the Seaking scores!
Squawkerz - 4

Rasdanation - 2
War Incarnate - 2

In accordance with this, Squawkerz and Bobsican will each be able to select a found submission to add to the meta (with the exception of their own for Bobsican).

Alright, winners commentary time:

Pokémon’s new tool
Dragon Tail Komala
: Sleep Talk works with Comatose, so… yeah, that is vile. The 65 Speed hopefully makes it not too annoying, Dragon Tail can miss, and Fairy is immune, but otherwise something to watch for.
Techno Blast Porygon: By the fact that evolutions can keep moves from their pre-evos, Porygon-Z can now be a legitimate wallbreaker, or a sweeper with Choice Scarf. Or it can hold a Drive to pack a perfectly accurate Fire/Electric/Ice 120 STAB through Terastalization, though that one can be a noob-trap gimmick. (Update: And I forgot, Tera’s banned, but 120 BP 100% accurate Fire move is not to sneeze at as P-Z can sturggles against Steel)
Octolock Volcanion: This can be one way to make Volcanion to be a more genuine wallbreaker without the need of setting up, that’s for sure. Also shuts down unsuspecting Pokémon with Regenerator.

Strengthened Signatures:
Eerie Spell (Move): G-Slowking can only benefit it as a wall, but the 3BP decrease can matter more than you think as it can stack. Too bad the 5 PP remain an issue for it, but we’ll see.
Surge Surfer (Ability): Now the Ability effectively functions as Desolate Land-styled Electric Surge + Speed variant of Huge Power! This makes Alolan Raichu almost impossible to outspeed, get access of 140 + STAB + 1.3x Elec-Terrain boost Rising Voltage on grounded targets, and have actual coverage unlike Regieleki, with Surf or Grassy Knot threatening a variety of Ground-type Pokémon.

Seakers’ Picks
Chunky Lanturn
: I was in disbelief this was allowed at first given Lanturn’s defenses aren’t that impressive… but as Beaf pointed out, 235 base HP ultimately still makes it super bulky on one side, as Lanturn’s 76 base Special Defense is still good enough to back it up. Even it’s physical bulk is better than Wailord (170 HP + 45 Def vs Lanturn 235 HP + 58 Def), and unlike Guzzlord, Lanturn can take advantage of Volt Absorb or Water Absorb to recover some lost HP. It’s special bulk not as insane as Blissey’s, obviously, but Lanturn have resistances by a good defensive type in Water/Electric, and unlike Wailord and even Dondozo, it also has additional utilities like Thunder Wave, Flip Turn / Volt Switch, Stockpile + Swallow (gimmicky but it can work), Aqua Ring, Scald and Toxic + Whirlpool combo.
  • Chansey / Blissey: The duo have much better special bulk, are immune to Ghost, has reliable recovery and has more ways to put pressure through using Seismic Toss or installing Stealth Rock, and has access to Heal Bell as cleric, but unfortunately, they have no resistances, only immunity to Ghost; Lanturn has 58 base Defense which is bad on it’s own but with 235 HP and 78 SpD, it has far better physical bulk in comparison, and thus can reliably invest EVs in Defense, and while it has two weaknesses in Grass and Ground, it has actual resistances, including important ones in Fire, Water, Flying and Ice, and can spread Burn via Scald to bolster it’s at least decent physical bulk even better.
  • Ting-Lu: Lanturn has better Special bulk even when taking Ting-Lu’s Vessel of Ruin into account, but while Ting-Lu has better physical bulk in comparison, it’s more of a tank than a true wall as it has a high enough Attack to fight back directly but does not have much useful status moves (Stealth Rock though). Even then, not even Ting-Lu will survive Wugtrio’s Thirteen Dives, and can be ruined by Rain. Lanturn, on the other hand, as actual Abilities in either Volt Absorb or Water Absorb to back up it’s already big special bulk, which can be a life saver where it can completely wall Wugtrio with must Water Absorb, and Water Absorb makes it a great momentum stopper against Rain. Also, and again, Lanturn can Burn, so Lanturn can be effectively physically bulkier than Ting-Lu against an unlucky victim of Burn.
  • Dondozo: Dondozo has better immediate physical bulk and has reliable recovery in Purify in this Pet Mod in case Rest + Sleep Talk isn’t cutting it for Dondozo within NatDex-level of power, has Unaware to stop set-up sweepers, doesn’t fesr Ground, can put pressure with Yawn, and can reliably sweep with Curse + Body Press or Attack. However, Dondozo’s Special Bulk simply cannot compare to Lanturn’s own, does not learn Scald (burning opponent means effectively having 2x Defense when taking hits from them), is weak to Electric unlike Lanturn who can take them fine, and has less resistances compared to Lanturn. And if the buffed Air Balloon become a good choice for Lanturn, now only Grass can hit it super effectively.
Air Balloon: A case of buffing already great Steel-type, which can be annoying, but on the bright side, Storm Throw and Frost Breath will be on the rise as those moves’ alway crit nature also ignores positive stat stages, alongside the already ubiquetous Knock Off and buffed Thief. Hisuian Goodra might be the biggest benefactor by far though, because Shell Armor means it is pretty much permanently immune to Ground by blocking crits, so only Thief or Knock Off can get rid of this item off it!
