Hitmontop @ Protective Pads
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
- Triple Axel
- Bullet Punch / Mach Punch

Hitmontop kicks and punches far above its weight in ZU! Rapid Spin grants Hitmontop the ability to remove entry hazards for hazard-stacking teams, allowing it to fill an otherwise barren task outside of Sandslash. Triple Axel allows Hitmontop to scare away foes such as offensive Spiritomb attempting to block Rapid Spin as well as Close Combat switch-ins like Venusaur and Muk. Bullet Punch and Mach Punch both allow Hitmontop to pick off faster foes; Bullet Punch lets Hitmontop finish off foes like Whimsicott and Hisuian Sneasel, while Mach Punch fares better against Jolteon and Rotom-Mow. Tera Steel allows Hitmontop to both power up Bullet Punch as well as check dangerous threats like Nasty Plot Mesprit and Beartic. Protective Pads allows Hitmontop to click its moves without fear of Rocky Helmet damage from the likes of Mesprit, Weezing, and Sandslash. Hitmontop fits better on more offensive teams due to its lack of longevity compared to Sandslash, so teammates like Beartic on Snow teams or Minior on offensive ones work great in tandem with Hitmontop. Hitmontop appreciates teammates that can beat back checks such as Sableye and Weezing, so Nasty Plot Mesprit as well as Jolteon function well alongside it.

Hitmontop kicks and punches far above its weight in ZU! Rapid Spin grants Hitmontop the ability to remove hazards, allowing it to fill an otherwise barren task outside of Sandslash (i would emphasize for hazard stack teams since hazard removal in general is common just not rapid spin which might not come across here correctly). Triple Axel allows Hitmontop to scare away foes such as offensive Spiritomb attempting to block Rapid Spin as well as Close Combat switch-ins like Venusaur and Muk. Bullet Punch and Mach Punch both allow Hitmontop to pick off faster foes; Bullet Punch lets Hitmontop finish off foes like Tera Fairy Mesprit and Hisuian Sneasel, while Mach Punch fares better against Jolteon and Rotom-Mow. Tera Steel allows Hitmontop to both power up Bullet Punch as well as check dangerous threats like Nasty Plot Mesprit and Beartic (since you use mesp twice here i would add whimsicott). Protective Pads allows Hitmontop to click its moves without fear of Rocky Helmet damage from the likes of Mesprit, Weezing, and Sandslash. Hitmontop fits better on more offensive teams due to its lack of longevity compared to Sandslash, so teammates like Beartic on Snow teams or Sneasel (sneasel is usually just best using boots. maybe use minior or oricorio on gterrain teams) on offensive ones work great in tandem with Hitmontop. Hitmontop appreciates teammates that can beat back checks such as Sableye and Weezing, so Nasty Plot Mesprit as well as Jolteon function well alongside it.

Not many significant changes needed here, so most of these are to just trim the character count.

Hitmontop kicks and punches far above its weight in ZU! Rapid Spin grants Hitmontop the ability to remove entry hazards for hazard-stacking teams, allowing it to fill an otherwise a barren task outside of role that only Sandslash otherwise can. Triple Axel allows Hitmontop to scare away foes such as offensive Spiritomb attempting to block Rapid Spin spinblock it as well as Close Combat switch-ins like Venusaur and Muk. Bullet Punch and Mach Punch both allow Hitmontop to pick off faster foes; Bullet Punch lets Hitmontop finish off foes like Whimsicott and Hisuian Sneasel, while Mach Punch fares better against Jolteon and Rotom-Mow. Tera Steel allows Hitmontop to both power up Bullet Punch as well as and check dangerous threats like Nasty Plot Mesprit and Beartic. Protective Pads allows Hitmontop to click use its moves without fear of Rocky Helmet damage from the likes of Mesprit, Weezing, and Sandslash. Hitmontop fits better on more offensive teams due to its lack of longevity compared to Sandslash, so teammates like Beartic on snow teams or Minior on offensive other ones (you already mentioned that Hitmontop works well on offensive teams) work great in tandem with Hitmontop it. Hitmontop appreciates teammates that can beat back checks such as Sableye and Weezing, so Nasty Plot Mesprit as well as and Jolteon function well alongside it.
