Ho is the way to go

Intro:

Whenever I log onto the server and ladder alot of the time the team i'm facing is a stall team. I myself am a Hyper offensive team user, I thoroughly enjoy matches that move at a fast pace. It's the only reason why I enjoy pokemon, so stall is my enemy in the sense that it moves so slowly. So I set out to make a team that is hyper offensive and counters stall teams. Enjoy, comment and rate, I have been told that it's at its peak unless I completely change the team but I want to know what you think. This is my masterpiece, enjoy.

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 8 HP/6 Atk/244 Spa/252 Spd
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
- Psychic
- Trick
First off I wanna thank Atticus for making this set up. As leads go this is probably one of the best. With the given evs max attack Metagross cannot Ohko, max damage is 99%. Thanks to scarf i outspeed all other leads and easily cripple stall leads. Plus if I keep the scarf on him I can revenge kill +1 speed salamence, which is a pain to any team. Psychic is there for constant damage and hits bulky pokemon for strong, constant damage. Once again, thanks Atticus.

: I trick Azelf scarf while he either taunts or Stealth Rocks. If he rocks I set up my own while he switches out. If he taunted I just switch to my scout Flygon.
icon376.gif
: With metagross I just trick him and since he can't ohko me, then I just switch to magnezone next turn for the kill.

icon260.gif
:Scarf that sucker, thus getting rid of a potential late game well. Plus Azlef now has leftovers, which is always helpfull.

icon385.gif
: Choice scarf jirachi is easy because most just assume I'm running focus sash and try to trick me while I set up stealth rocks in their face. Then I just switch to flygon since he either will try to scarf again, hoping to getting something coming in or he'll just switch, which lets me scout with flygon

icon142.gif
: Aeros are easy since I get a free sash from him and if he set up stealth rocks I can throw my own up on the switch. If he taunted, Starmie is the answer right away.

icon392.gif
: Infernape is lead I can't win against, so I just take the fake out with Azelf and then switch to Flygon on the fire blast.

icon407.gif
: Roserades are pain with sash, but if shes the scarf kind I Ohko with pyschic. Usually I just pyschic to break the sash and absorb the sleep. If he missed, good for me shes dead, if not flygon can some in to u-turn on her.

icon485.gif
: Heatrans are something I haven't faced as lead, and I'm not sure how I'd fare. I most likely would just switch to starmie to hydro pump it since most carry a shuca berry.

icon248.gif
: Another lead I haven't faced but I would just switch to Flygon since most leads one don't carry pursuit. U-turn does alot of damage.

icon472.gif
: Another win here, I just scarf him, thus crippling him. If he stealth rocked I set up my own when he switches, if he taunted for some weird reason, psychic does plent of damage.

flygon.png

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -Spa)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Flygon here helps me in many ways. He is my scout, my thunder wave absorber and revenge killer. Plus thanks to his great typing he can come in on a plethora of moves and deal heavy damage. Earthquake is stab, same with outrage. U-turn lets me scout my opponents team and stone edge lets me kill gyarados. The evs are standard of the scarf set, letting me max out speed and attack. As I explain later thanks to the great synergy he creates, he easily helps me win.

magnezone.png

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 40 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Magnet Rise
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Ah Magnezone, the bane of all steel type pokemon out there. Pretty much all stall teams you see either have skarmory, bronzong or forretress, so Magnezone here kills them. Plus he lets my Metagross sweep easier later on in the game. Standard steel killer set, with magnet rise over explosion. I chose magnet rise because with an immunity too earthquake magnezone becomes quite a pain to take out. Especially if I have a sub, which most of the time i do since most steel pokemon can't do jack to him. Hp grass is used to kill swampert who can be problematic to this team.

gengar.png

Gengar (M) @ Life Orb

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt/Testing Substitute
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]

The powerfull ghost Gengar makes his appearance. With life orb Gengar is a threat to any team and with his great coverage all teams will be suffering. Max speed and special attack lets him burst a hole through most teams. Hp fire this there for any cocky scizors who think they can pursuit me.Focus blast is their for tyranitar, able to ohko all of them if their not scarfed Whats great about him and my next pokemon is that even if they go down to scizor or tyranitar(their two biggest counters), I don't mind, if fact thats how I would want them to go down. If they die like that I get an easy set up with metagross. Can you say outmaneuvered.

starmie.png

Starmie @ Life Orb

Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Grass Knot

Probably the star of my team, no pun intended, Starmie is a great veratile threat in this metagame. His four attacks provide great coverage, able to hit most threats for super effective damage. Thunderbolt hits other water pokemon, plus ohkos gyarados. Ice beam for thoses dragon pokemon that could be a threat and hydro pump hits with stab for great damage. Grass knot is there for swampert specifically but also hits those heavier pokemon for alot of damage. Like I said with gengar, if starmie goes down to tyranitar I get to set up with metagross, which is a plus :)

metagross.png

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 112 Hp/252 Atk/12 Def/132 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch/Testing Zen Headbutt
Orginally when I built this team I didn't have metagross on it. At first I wanted to use just gengar and starmie but after seeing how pursuit weak they are and how obvious it is, I decided to take advantage of it. He easily sets up with agility while my opponent switches out and then proceeds to rip through the opposition. The given evs let out speed scarf heatran, giving me a clean ohko with earthquake. Meteor mash is stab which hits any pokemon that doesn't resist it for massive damage. Lastly ice punch lets me hit the all important gliscor and other flying types(such as Zapdos) for super effective damage. I chose lum berry over life orb because some pokemon will come in just to status me and die, thus crippling my sweep. Lum berry cures me and greatly annoys my opponent. Plus I can set up while some-one tries to status me and then I just kill them after I get my speed boost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Synergy:
In my opinion this team has great synergy, and although there is alot, I will only show a few examples right here because I don't wanna drag this out and bore everyone reading.
487.png
121.png
94.png
376.png

Well too start it off is the relationship between metagross and azelf, starmie and gengar. Although it's not really synergy(since one of them might go down) thanks too metagross great typing he can easily come in and set up.
487.png
330.png
467.png

The second bit of synergy is the relationship between Magnezone and my two levitator, azelf and flygon. Both Azelf and Flygon can come in on an earthquake aimed at magnezone, plus Flygon can come in on a fire attack since he resists them. Also Magnezone resists the dragon and ice attacks aimed at flygon and the ghost attacks aimed at Azelf

330.png
121.png

Next we have flygon and starmie together. Flygon can take electric attacks aimed at starmie like a champ and can earthquake or u-turn in retaliation. Starmie can take ice and water attacks aimed at flygon and hit back with either thunderbolt or ice beam.

I don't really see how Swampert is threatening your team, which you mentioned is problematic.

You lure Swampert out with something like Metagross, switch to Flygon on the Earthquake, U-turn out, and then send out Starmie on the resisted Ice Beam/Punch and OHKO it with Grass Knot.

I would slap a Choice Scarf onto Starmie though, to put a stop to +1 Salamence antics.

I don't like the Magnezone set that much. Yeah, it can counter Swampert, but it has horrible coverage as a whole.

Also, why exactly is Flygon 'Timid'? It wants 'Jolly', if you're looking for a speed boosting nature.

Gengar wants something akin to Protect and/or Substitute on this set.

Other than Metagross, this team is quickly decimated by a single Blissey, so I would suggest changing the Gengar set to a Substitute + Pain Split variation.

That's about it for right now.

Hello! Solid team, but i would suggest that you use protect on gengar to replace t-bolt because CBzor BP will OHKO gengar, but with protect you can scout out which move its gonna use. Great team

Good Luck!

Or a Variation on KidX's proposal, is to put Substitute over Thunderbolt, this also gives you a shot at Scarf-Tar for the OHKO with Focus Blast

Or a Variation on KidX's proposal, is to put Substitute over Thunderbolt, this also gives you a shot at Scarf-Tar for the OHKO with Focus Blast

And then kill it with hp:fire

If you don't like swampert, you could try grass knot on azelf. Most are leads. Then put recover on starmie over grass knot. He can recover damage from life orb that way.

You have a very large Dark weakness. A scarf Tar can trap and kill Starmie, Gengar, Azelf and even magnetzone if it lacks a sub or Magnet Rise.
I sugest Explosion on Magnetzone to better handle stall.

There is no need for a scarf on Starmie. Salamence struggles to switch in on any of his team. Meta can Ice Punch, Starmie outspeeds and KO's with Ice Beam, Flygon outspeeds and Magnetzone can fire off Thunderbolts which mence hats seting up on. As long as you are careful when you use Earthquake on Flygon (its really the only thing Salamence can come in on) you should be fine.

Substitute on Gengar to avoid being trapped by Scarf Tar.

Lastly I don't see stall doing to well against the team. Skarmory is trapped my magnetzone (provided it does not run shed shell) and (with my suggestions) Magnetzone can explode on Blissey. Azrlf can explode, Flygon can threaten it with U-tunr or Outrage and Metagross can sset up on it (provided it lacks Flamethrower)

Have a Nice Day

I think that Zen Headbutt on Metagross is better than Ice Punch since the main pokemon that you would use it for are handles by much ov your team. Zen Headbutt gives you a move to handle Rotom H who can threaten much of your team with his STAB ghost moves.

Currently trying substitute over thunderbolt but I'll see how that affects how much life I lose thanks to substitute and life orb. If substitute is bad I'll try protect.

Salamence really can not switch in on anything.
I don't like the Magnezone set that much. Yeah, it can counter Swampert, but it has horrible coverage as a whole.

Hmm what was I smoking at the time,jk, I meant jolly
Gengar wants something akin to Protect and/or Substitute on this set.
Trying substitute, thanks for the idea.
Other than Metagross, this team is quickly decimated by a single Blissey, so I would suggest changing the Gengar set to a Substitute + Pain Split variation.
Thanks to lum berry on Metagross I just come in on it and set-up but will keep testing to see how it goes.

I don't mind scarf-tar really as I already said since it hurts my opponent more then it does me. Metagross just sets up and hits hard.

Substitute on Gengar to avoid being trapped by Scarf Tar.
Currently trying, thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you for the compliment, that is what I set out to do, kill stall, and it seems like I'm succeeding.
Have a Nice Day

Hmm, will try that on metagross.

Lets keep the rates coming people.

Remember in HO you only switch if they switch in a definit counter.

his looks like a really nice team. There are a few changes I would make, however.

What is Grass Knot doing for Starmie? Besides taking out Swampert it does absolutely nothing for your team. I recommend Recover over GK to make up for entry hazards and Life Orb recoil. Starmie is incredibly threatening if you can keep it alive late in the game and Recover is the best way to do that.

On Gengar, avoid Sustitute with a Life Orb. Protect is the better option with Life Orb and I have seen a Life Orb + Substitute + Pain Split variant, but if you want 3 attacks with Life Orb Protect is the way to go.

Though the STAB may be tempting for Metagross, Zen Headbutt and Psychic-type STAB in general is a bad idea. The flinch rate doesn't happen often enough and the accuracy drives me crazy sometimes. Rotom forms don't like any other member of your team and so shouldn't be your worry. Ice Punch and Thunderpunch are both solid options in this spot.

this is not a full HO team. HO is a team with setup sweepers and you setup while your foe switches out e.g send out infernape while t tar is in play for your foe, they switch while you set up nasty plot or swords dance then you sweep.
