This is a team with which I feel that I've had amazing success with in 5th gen OU. I decided to experiment with mega-lucario in pokebank OU before making a full fledged 6th gen OU team, and while it seems to be putting up a pretty decent fight, it just doesn't pack the same punch as it did against the gen 5 metagame. I would love to hear some suggestions as to what I should change and what I should keep in mind against the new metagame (which I have almost no knowledge about, I haven't even bought a real pokemon game since gen 4). As always, all input is greatly appreciated, but the more radical your changes are to my team, the less likely I am to accept them since...well, I kinda like it the way it is! I'm not so hardcore at this as to give up all my favorite 'mon just for a better team.

Skarmory (F) @ Custap Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
Skarmory's function is simple but highly effective, to put out as many entry hazards as possible while preventing my opponent from doing the same. The Custap Berry/Sturdy combo gives me an almost guaranteed two layers, and taunt shuts down many bulky leads looking to set up on me or otherwise mess with me with non-offensive moves.

Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Destiny Bond
- Trick
Choice scarf Gengar is my offensive spinblocker, and also a solid crippler and ender of sweeps thanks to the speedy destiny bond or trick when appropriate. His combination of fair coverage and good support moves, as well as his fair share of immunities never ceases to make him useful. For those of you curious about the O IV's in attack, it's just to minimize damage from confusion.

Garchomp (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Aqua Tail
- Outrage
- Fire Fang
Look upon choice band Garchomp ye mighty, and despair. This guy's essentially a setup-less sweep, provided that all the pokemon that could be a pest to it are already weakened or eliminated. When in doubt, I usually just rely on Garchomp's raw power to get the job done.

Alakazam (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Alakazam is my all around special attacker, basically just looking to cover any threats that aren't adequately taken out by any of my other 'mon. Thanks to magic guard he can absorb most irritating status conditions, entry hazards, and weather related annoyances without so much as batting an eye, and with the Focus Sash he makes the ideal revenge killer. Although he doesn't often shine as the star of the team, I'm not sure what I'd do without him.

Lucario (M) @ Lucarionite
Ability: Inner Focus (Adaptability)
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- ExtremeSpeed
- Swords Dance
Mega-Lucario is my all-star sweeper, and most of my strat revolves around successfully setting him up. The way I see it, he's the old lucario without a lot of the old drawbacks, his increased stats eliminates the need for the life orb, and eliminates the often times game deciding residual damage along with it, and adaptability makes Close Combat even more obscenely powerful. I'm having a little trouble deciding his coverage moves, bullet punch now has identical power to ExtremeSpeed, but I feel as though I lose as much coverage as I gain by switching to it, and in exchange I lose the extra priority. On top of that, I have no idea how effective Crunch is against the new meta-game compared to other possible moves.

Wobbuffet (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 28 HP / 232 Def / 248 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Counter
- Encore
- Mirror Coat
- Safeguard
While Wobbuffet doesn't really fit into the theme of "hyper offense", he's proven to work incredibly well with the rest of my 'mon, providing many free switch-ins (which is usually all Lucario needs to start slaughtering after entry hazards) as well as guaranteed kills against those miscellaneous pokemon that are just giving every other pokemon on my team the runaround for whatever reason. Not to mention, he's just too damn fun not to use! I might even go as far as to say he's my signature pokemon.

And there you have it boys and girls! Thanks so much for looking into my team for me!
