XY OU Holy crap +6 mega scizor

Hey people, back at it with another RMT. This team brought me up to the 1400's, but I'm having trouble laddering higher, so I appreciate any feedback! Hope you guys enjoy the team:

Aw205's rating: 1380 → 1400
(+20 for winning)

Scizors (Scizor-Mega) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Swords Dance
- Roost

O gosh, stab+technician boosted+priority+base 438 atk= total destruction. Scizor makes a great priority user and also wins in a 1v1 defensive lando t. I can't emphasize how many games scizor wins for me, swords dance just puts so much pressure its incredible. Roost allows me to stall out various threats like lando t and continue to set up SDs.

Analytic (Magnezone) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt

Opposing ferro, skarm, or annoying steel type(except heatran) gets taken care of. With mag scizor's checks are gone and at the same time, forming a volt turn core! Everything else is pretty self explanatory.

bow down (Mamoswine) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Endeavor
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake

Makes for a great stealth rocker and brings foes down to a sliver of health. This is also a great dragon check and a clean up sweeper with ice shard. Also oblivious doesn't leave it vulnerable to taunt users, so thats the only reason i use it over thick fat.

381.gif

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Earthquake
- Roost

Latios provided a much needed check against mega venu and keldeo, or any water type in this matter. heatran switches are annoying as always and i don't wanna predict a switch and risk be burned. So patios acts as a good heat ran lure to destroy with earthquake. I didn't see a huge need for defog so i left it as is.

36.gif

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock
- Heal Bell
- Soft-boiled

This was my go to mon against annoying mega eye which the rest of my team can't touch. Also status basically wears this team down a lot, so clefable also provided heal bell support. this is basically all clef is here for lol. oh and stealth rocks are added in case mamo dies and rocks are spinned/defogged away.

faceofterror (Azumarill) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Belly Drum
- Knock Off
- Play Rough

This is truly the face of terror. Azumarill sets up on heat ran and such and deals a ton of damage. BELLY drum literally decks teams, but it doesn't seem to have put in a lot of work. and easily gets walled by steel types that then fire off an iron head. This is probably my most replaceable member on my team.

Thanks for reading my team! Also the replays below show how mega scizor absolutely destroys! :]

yo thats a cool teal you got :]. I just have a couple minor suggestions to help a bit.
-I feel like a spread of 112 HP / 252 Atk / 144 Spe on mega scizor is better as it allows you to outspeed rotom-w, who can otherwise just will o wisp and ruin you.
-next, have you considered knock off on mamoswine? Knock off mamo allows you to knock off shed shells from the likes of things like skarmory or ferrothorn(ferro dosent run it much anymore but still), making those mons trappable by the likes of mag.
-I dont feel like you need 2 stealth rockers on your team, it isnt necessary. Either go with a cleric clef or a cm clef.
-and if you dont feel like belly drum azu does well, you can always try av(esp if ur gonna choose cm clef)

Looks like a great team. On Mega Scizor you could go Superpower > U Turn because you can hit steel types like Heatran, Bisharp and Magnezone, and you have another way to kill Ferrothorn (something your team struggles with if Magnezone goes down), also Bug typing doesn't help with the coverage as much as Superpower does. Only downside is that you'll be trapped by magnezone, but do your best to predict that. Also don't forget to add EV's for Clefable. For Azumarill, you could invest 164 EV into Speed so it can outspeed base 70 uninvested pokemon such as Skarmory, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Latios has a nice set that'll lure out Bisharp (expecting defog) and for Clefable you could run Calm Mind or Flamethrower to set up or to kill ferrothorn in case Magnezone dies. Overall nice team and I hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion thecrystalonix, I'll defiantly change the eves for scizor, but knock off means I'd have to get rid ice shard, rocks, or endeavor. Plus azumarill acts like a ferro lure, so i can get rid of its item.

Also, poke pals Ill consider running flamethrower on clef, especially because once mag is gone, i have lots of trouble. ill change u turn to knock off , because lol i don't even see my self really using it.

Thanks guys!

Hey Aw205 - Nice team!

I have a few suggestions to help you. First off, I just want to point out that U-Turn is horrible on SD Mega Scizor. If you've set up to 3x, and you U-Turn out, you're gonna lose all the boosting. I would recommend Knock Off > U-Turn because it lets you hit many more 'mons, plus it's amazing utility. Another suggesting is Freeze Dry > Endeavor because most of the time you'll be setting up rocks and spamming Ice Shard. Freeze Dry lets you hit Rotom-W which happens to be a very popular lead. If you do decide to run Freeze Dry, you should opt for a spread of 240 Atk / 16 SpA / 252 Spe. The EVs in SpA gives it sufficient power to hit bulky waters. If you do decide to do that, you'll need to also opt for a Hasty / Naive nature. I wholly agree with thecrystalonix in the idea that you should run a CM Clefable and replacing SR with Flamethrower.

I love your team, it's great!

GL in future matches.

Lol, i had just lost a match to an heatran which i could of won if i had knock off or superpower. I'll try knock off now since i don'y really find my self using u turn a lot. Im not quite sure about freeze dry, just because rotom w easily knocks mamo down to the sash with hydro pump, and then i could just endevor, and ice shard. Though I do see your point about freeze dry because this team does have trouble with rotom, but usually gets taken care of by latios. I'll try out the calm mind clefable set, but status really ruins this team, especially scizor, mag, azumarill, and mamo. Thanks for the rate tho!

You can still keep heal bell, if you wish.

EDIT:

You can actually switch Latios to Starmie, who can act as a status absorber with natural cure:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Psyshock
- Rapid Spin

Psyshock can hit Mega Venu and Starmie checks Keldeo bar HP Electric variants and Heatran, barring Power Solar variants.

That's actually really helpful, Im gonna test this out right now!
