Hi everyone !
As I really like normal form Hoopa, I wanted to make something out of him. I tried several sets, but the most effective one was the assault vest set. Thanks to his interesting double type, his huge special defense and his decent HP, he is able to tank a lot of special sweeper, and answer with his large movepool. I really enjoyed playing normal Hoopa, and I wanted to build a team around him. Here is the team:

Thanks to his interesting double type, his huge special defense and his decent HP, he is able to tank a lot of special sweeper, and answer with his large movepool. I really enjoyed playing normal Hoopa, and I wanted to build a team around him. Here is the team:

Hoopa @ Assault Vest
Ability: Magician
- Focus Blast
- Energy Ball
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
>>Hoopa can wall heatran, Keldeo, Lati@s, Venusaur, Rotom, Serperior, Starmie, Thundurus, Gardevoir, etc...
At worst, he is 3HKO (timid latios with life orb deals 40% with a draco meteor), and he can OHKO all of them, except specially defensive Heatran (60-70% on focus blast) and serperior (70% on psychic). Mega venusaur has a 88% chance to die of psychic after stealth roc. Hoopa also protects my stealth rocks against some rapid spin users like starmie.
The major threat on the special side is gengar as he can OHKO him with shadow ball. As Hoopa can't tank a physical attack, i'll switch him out if I see a physical sweeper.

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Ability: Intimidate
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
>>Landorus-T is a great partner for Hoopa, as he is able to wall a lot of physical sweepers and can set up the stealth rock. The set is classic, I took the EV spread from smogon as I think it is very effective. He is a solid pivot for my team, I switch him in a lot and weakens the ennemy team with U-turn or Knock off. Weavile is a threat to Landorus, but he can't switch in safely, and I can send Keldeo to take care of him. Hoopa deals with mega-Slowbro, Rotom-W, mega-Venusaur. If my opponent choses to send a physycall wall like hypodown, I usually send Keldeo and force a switch.

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Ability: Justified
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
>>Keldeo gives me a good resistance to dark types attack that Hoopa attracts. Nothing much to say about the EV spread and the set. I have double stab because scald helps me a lot against pokémons like azumarill that want to set up on him. Keldeo helps killing some steel pokemons that could give me problems in lategame.
Common switchs-in are bulky water type, Venusaur, Gardevoir, which Hoopa can all take care of, Azumarill and Gyarados, that I can try tu burn on the switch and outpseed them with Garchomp or sucker punch, and Tornadus-T, on which I'll try to hit him with Icy Wind on the switch to slow him and kill him aftewards.

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Ability: Defiant
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
>>Another classic set, Bisharp is a potential solution to 4attacks gengar and mega-metagross. He gives my team (Hoopa) a ghost resistance, and his weakness are covered by his other teammates, mostly landorus and Hoopa. He can come on a defog for a free sword dance and manage to sweep a whole team on his own. Landorus can tank incoming fighting attacks, Keldeo can come on common switchs like Hippodown or landorus-T.

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast
Naive Nature
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Ability: Rough Skin
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast
Naive Nature
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
>>The good old classic scarfchomp. He fits this team very well, as he can either revenge kill a pokémon, or finish a game on his own with outrage. His teammates handle steel-type pokémons very well, making the path clear for him. I choosed Fire blast in the first place because of ferrethorn, which was the only steel pokemon I had troubles to kill consistently, but I'm thinking about Stone Edge now, that helps a little bit against gyarados, a threat for my team.

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect
Naive Nature
EVs: 32 Atk / 224 SpA / 252 Spe
>>And my mega pokémon is... Diancie ! This cutie hits very hard, helps me dealing with dragon attacks and makes huge holes in the opposing team, making the job easier for the rest of my team. Her vulnerability to Scizor and Metagross is covered by the rest of the team (Landorus/Keldeo/Bisharp), Hoopa takes care of Venusaur and the bulky water type (specially offensive).
Two big threats for my team are Tornadus-T and Gyarados. The first one hits very hard on the special side, and has access to Knock off that can OHKO Hoopa. The second one doesn't have a lot of threats and can set up his dragon dances without much fear.
Feel free to give any suggestion that could help me improving this really fun team.
