[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Band Hoopa-U is one of the hardest-hitting wallbreakers in the tier, boasting a sky high Attack stat and spammable STAB move in Hyperspace Fury, and demolishes slower teams that lack a consistent way to revenge kill it. However, Hoopa-U struggles to find opportunities to switch in against teams and is easily trapped by Pursuit due to its middling Speed, bulk, and the Defense drops from Hyperspace Fury. Gunk Shot hits Fairy-types such as Clefable, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini, which can take multiple Hyperspace Furys and force it out. Drain Punch hits Tyranitar and Hydreigon while also healing off any residual damage Hoopa-U has sustained during the match. Fire Punch nails Mega Scizor and Mega Mawile as well as hits Ferrothorn harder than Drain Punch. Zen Headbutt is an option to hit Kommo-o and KO Toxapex, making it harder for teams to pivot around Hoopa-U. Maximum Speed investment allows Hoopa-U to outspeed defensive Pokemon such as Heatran, defensive Landorus-T, and Rotom-W.

Hoopa-U fits on bulky offense teams that appreciate it wearing down bulkier teams with its powerful attacks. Despite having good Special Defense, Hoopa-U's poor Defense stat and typing mean it can only switch in on weak special attackers and passive Pokemon such as Toxapex, Blissey, and Mega Latias, although it must be wary of Scald burns and the occasional Knock Off. Therefore, it appreciates slow pivots such as Corviknight, Slowbro, and Slowking. Mega Scizor is an exceptional partner, as it lures in Pokemon such as Toxapex and Heatran for Hoopa-U to take advantage of, provides excellent defensive synergy by absorbing Fairy- and Bug-type moves, and appreciates Hoopa-U breaking down teams for it to clean late-game. Hoopa-U struggles in the offense matchup, so fast threats such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko are good partners for it; they deal with faster teams and can also bring in Hoopa-U on their checks such as Toxapex and Chansey. Entry Hazard support is extremely beneficial to Hoopa-U, as Spikes wear down foes trying to play around Hoopa-U's attacks, such as Toxapex, Tangrowth, and Alomomola, so Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Greninja are good partners. A sturdy defensive core to fall back on is also needed due to Hoopa-U's ability to be revenge killed easily, so Pokemon such as Corviknight, Tangrowth, and Slowking work well with it.

A Choice Specs set can be uses but is weaker and lacks the coverage options that the physical set has. A Nasty Plot set can also be run but struggles a lot to find an opportunity to set up and often gets revenge killed easily. Z-Trick and Z-Snatch are interesting but niche options that allow Hoopa-U to elevate its middling Speed and clean late-game; however, it is difficult to set up and requires a lot of support, which make it not worth it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, offensive Landorus-T, Kartana, and Mega Lopunny outpace Hoopa-U and KO it, although none of them can switch directly into one of Hoopa-U’s attacks.

**Bulky Fairy-types**: Clefable, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini can switch into Hoopa-U's Hyperspace Fury and threaten to KO it back or recover off the damage dealt, but they fear Gunk Shot.

**Pursuit Trappers**: Pokemon such as Weavile and Tyranitar easily Pursuit trap Hoopa-U due to its bad physical bulk and the Defense drops from Hyperspace Fury. Tyranitar can tank any hit from Hoopa-U and easily Pursuit trap it, but it has to be weary of Drain Punch. Weavile is faster than Hoopa and can Pursuit trap it, but it isn't able to switch into Hoopa due to its low bulk.

Drain Punch lets Hoopa-U hit Tyranitar and Hydreigon ,Blissey, and Chansey without wasting Hyperspace Fury PP; noones gonna swap a bliss or Chansey or keep it in on hoopa so this part is not needed while also healing off any residual damage Hoopa has sustained during the match. Fire Punch lets Hoopa-U nail Mega Scizor and hit Ferrothorn harder than Drain Punch. Zen Headbutt is a secondary option to hit Kommo-O and Toxapex for a KO, making it harder for teams to pivot around it. Maximum Speed and Attack investment with an Adamant nature allows Hoopa-U to hit as hard as possible while still being fast enough to outspeed defensive threats such as Heatran, Defensive Lando-T and Rotom-W.

what sort of teams does hoopa fit on?

also mention mons that can switch in to the threats that revenge hoopa

A Choice Specs set can be used as an alternative but is much weaker and lacks the coverage options that the physical set has. A Nasty Plot set can also be run but struggles a lot to find an opportunity to set up and often gets revenged easily. Z Trick or Snatch is an interesting option that allows Hoopa-U to elevate its middling speed tier, and to lets it clean up late game, however is even harder to set up and requires lot of support that usually isn’t worth.

**Faster Threats**: Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Kartana and Mega Lopunny all outpace Hoopa-U and kill KO it, although none of them can switch directly into one of Hoopa’s attacks.

**Bulky Fairy-types**: Clefable, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini can swap into Hoopa’s Hyperspace Fury and threaten to KO it back or recover off the damage dealt, but fear a Gunk Shot.

**Pursuit Trappers** Pursuit users such as Weavile and Tyranitar can either take multiple Dark- or Psychic-type STAB moves from Hoopa, or outspeed it and retaliate back by Pursuit trapping it, killing it. However, both of these Pokemon fear a Drain Punch from it. Make seperate sentences for weav and the ttars Also make this the first point

Choice Band Hoopa-U is one of the hardest hitting wallbreaker in the tier, boasting a sky high attack stat and a spammable STAB move in Hyperspace Fury, and demolishes slower teams that lack a consistent way to revenge kill it. However, Hoopa struggles to find opportunities to switch in against offensive teams hoopa struggles to switch in period, not just against offensive teams, even against bulky teams because of potential knock offs and status so i wouldn't say offensive teams because it implies that it can switch in vs other team archetypes, which it really can't , and is easily pursuit trapped due to its middling speed, bulk and the defense drops from Hyperspace Fury. Gunk Shot lets Hoopa-U hit Fairy-types such as Clefable, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini who can all take multiple Hypersace Furys and can force it out. Drain Punch lets Hoopa-U hit Tyranitar, and Hydreigon; while also healing off any residual damage Hoopa has sustained during the match. Fire Punch lets Hoopa-U nail Mega Scizor and hit Ferrothorn harder than Drain Punch. mega mawile is a worthwhile mention here too Zen Headbutt is a secondary option to hit Kommo-O and Toxapex for a KO you should emphasize kommo-o because that's zen headbutts most important target, making it harder for teams to pivot around it. The given EV spread allows Hoopa to take a Pursuit from Mega Tyranitar at -2, with maximum Speed and Attack investment with an Adamant nature allows Hoopa-U to hit as hard as possible while still being fast enough to outspeed defensive threats such as Heatran, Defensive Lando-T and Rotom-W.

Hoopa struggles in the offense matchup, so fast threats such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko are good partners for it, dealing with faster teams as Hoopa breaks for them. you don’t mention how they also act as crucial pivots for hoopa, which is important given how it struggles to switch in Hazard support is extremely beneficial to Hoopa-U as spikes wear down teams that try to play around Hoopa’s barrage of attacks, mention pokemon that check hoopa but hate hazards here so Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Greninja are good partners. A sturdy defensive core to fall back on is also needed, due to Hoopa’s ability to be revenge killed easily, so Pokemon such as Corviknight, Tangrowth and Slowking work well with it.

**Faster Threats**: Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Choice Scarf offensive Landorus-T I’d just generalise this to offensive lando since the only landorus set that hoopa outspeeds is defensive, the others use max speed Kartana and Mega Lopunny all outpace Hoopa-U and KO it, although none of them can switch directly into one of Hoopa’s attacks.

GP 1/1. [DC, 449990] Please stay consistent with the usage of Hoopa-U (Hoopa-U =/= Hoopa). You also have curly apostrophes throughout the analysis, so give it a re-read to catch all of them.
