[SET COMMENT]
Choice Band Iron Treads is a great addition on Steel teams, serving as a wallbreaker and leveraging its Ground typing and excellent coverage options to ease Fire, Electric, and Steel matchups. Earthquake targets Fire-, Electric-, and Steel-types like Torkoal, Raging Bolt, and Archaludon as well as Toxapex. Ice Spinner threatens Ground- and Dragon-types like the Landorus formes, Gliscor, Garchomp, and Hydreigon. Knock Off messes up would-be switch-ins like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Dondozo by removing their Leftovers, Rocky Helmet, and Heavy-Duty Boots, respectively, while also punishing spinblockers like Air Balloon Gholdengo and Dragapult. Supercell Slam OHKOes Primarina after minimal chip damage and 2HKOes foes like Skarmory and Slowbro, while Stone Edge secures an OHKO on Volcarona and Moltres. Rapid Spin can also be used in the last slot, allowing Iron Treads to support its teammates by removing entry hazards.
Iron Treads's ability to offensively threaten Fire-types is greatly appreciated by many of its teammates. Skarmory and Corviknight are great partners for Iron Treads, boasting a Ground immunity and a Fighting neutrality, which allows them to take on foes like Excadrill, Great Tusk, and Sneasler. Skarmory also provides Spikes support, which, in conjunction with Iron Treads's Knock Off removing Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers, weakens bulky foes like Great Tusk and Dondozo, while Corviknight provides U-turn support and serves as a Defogger. Gholdengo brings a crucial Fighting immunity to the team that allows it to handle foes like Iron Defense Zamazenta and mixed Iron Valiant. Iron Treads appreciates Gholdengo removing physical walls like Skarmory, Dondozo, and Slowbro and punishing switch-ins by paralyzing them; it can also equip itself with a Choice Scarf to serve as a revenge killer, cleaning up Ghost, Psychic, and Fighting teams late-game. In return, Iron Treads can eliminate special walls like Clodsire, Alolan Muk, and Hisuian Goodra. Flash Fire Heatran can switch into special Fire-types like +1 Volcarona and Iron Moth, and it can absorb Will-O-Wisp from foes like Dragapult. Heatran also threatens Skarmory and Corviknight, which Iron Treads may struggle against, and serves a Stealth Rock setter. Hisuian Goodra, with incredible special bulk and partial Dragon typing, makes for an excellent teammate, being able to fend off attacks from the aforementioned Fire-types; Choice Scarf Heatran; and other special attackers like Choice Specs Greninja, Dragapult, and Flutter Mane. Archaludon serves as a physical wall, handling foes like the Ogerpon formes, +1 Gouging Fire, and Ceruledge while also providing Stealth Rock support. It can also utilize a Choice Scarf set to get a surprise KO on foes like Dragapult and Iron Valiant. Archaludon offers Thunder Wave support, slowing down Fire-types like +2 Ceruledge and Ogerpon-H for Iron Treads to revenge kill them in case Archaludon alone is not able to check them.
