How do you Relax *sofa intensifies*

Lately I found it much easier to relax lately, not because of my near ending holiday, just because maybe I'm not feeling stressed or worried about something. Im very carefree and relaxed, but not all the time, but now, I get relaxed easier, and I became curious of how other people relax, and how it works, and if they relax easy or not.

As for me, just sitting on the couch, watching TV or videos while eating things like walmart ice cream or snacks just make me feel relaxed. Daydreaming in the bed can also feel very good as you just lay down and clear all thoughts. I'm not talking about mindfulness, though, that's more of to make your mind clear and peaceful like some event just happened, but I think relaxing is different because my perception of relaxation is to just pause, and loosen your mind to a free state.

So feel free to share how you relax and if it works, It would be cool to know for people who are stressed so they can learn to relax and let go. If you're busyworking and don't relax, feel free to post too! we want to know why you don't favor relaxing. Also sleeping is NOT relaxing, if you have your eyes closed but your conciousness is awake, than thats fine.

welll secretly im not sure I relax much because relaxing for me is still like a thing that still involves making lists

Well, I usually sit at my desk all day, playing games, watching YouTube or Twitch, and/or playing my 3ds most times. I also occasionally watch Netflix when especially bored (shameful fact - I just started watching Breaking Bad for the first time last week).

I relax by going into my cave (room) and turning up my music and listening to my favorite playlists I made on YouTube for myself. I sometimes sing along, watch funny videos, make tea, light an incense stick (rose, lavender, and flowers). I like to go on PS and talk to my online friends or go on rabb.it cast to watch a movie with a few of them to relax even more.
Back then I would used to go jogging for 30 minutes and walk back home for 15 minutes. It was a good way to relieve stress. I should start it up again. Also, I would cuddle my cute doges and grab a favorite food item to eat. I would even clean my room to help me relax.

I almost constantly feel on edge, but there are a handful of things that let me relax.

The easiest way for me to relax is to watch TV shows, whether it be comfy anime such as Flying Witch, She and Her Cat, Tanaka-kun etc., other anime (e.g. Flip Flappers, NGE, FMAB, Shinsekai Yori, 91 Days, Food Wars, Sakamoto Desu Ga? etc.) something fun which I've watched since I was a kid such as Robot Wars, whatever mostly-unfunny sitcom my sister is watching on E4 (Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Brooklyn Nine Nine etc.), actually good comedy series (Dad's Army, Porridge, whatever Vic and Bob's latest concoction is etc.), a good drama such as Taboo, No Offence etc., panel shows (Have I Got News For You, QI, 8/10 Cats Does Countdown, Mock The Week etc.) or documentaries (e.g. Planet Earth, Wonders of the Solar System/Universe, The Smash Brothers, whatever the most recent of the six trillion Geography documentaries is etc.).

Listening to music is also an easy way for me to relax, but I don't like listening to others' recommendations (outside of things like the music bot on Discord) unless I explicitly ask for reccomendations--with people telling me to listen to things and insisting on listening to it with me typically putting me off of any and all music for the rest of the day and leaving me on edge. Reading is something I enjoy immensely and generally allows me to relax. but I really need to do it more than I do; my favorite book series is the His Dark Materials trilogy. Manga is also really nice to read even if I don't do so much; ReLIFE, Yamada-kun and the 7 Witches, Monster and Blue Exorcist are among the handful I've read/am reading+enjoyed the most.

Ultimately though I'm most relaxed when I'm spending time with my family and extended family.
