How to fix your DS's L (or R) button

Well I was doing research on this because my warranty had expired and my DS's serial number label peeled off so I had to find a solution for the infamous "My DS's L/R button doesn't work anymore" problem.

I was googling and I had read about many people who had the same exact problem. It also happens more frequently in the DS Lite version than the original DS version and it happens more oftenly to the L button than the R button.

Then I had found a remedy someone got from another website. They said it was kind of ridiculous but he had to given it a shot and it worked for him. I decided to try it out myself not caring if it seemed ridiculous and my DS's Lite's L button started working again. I was really glad I found this remedy, so I decided I would share it with as many people as I could.

It's very simple. Simply place your lips to and form a seal on the L or R button and give it a nice blow. This cleans out any dust that stops the contacts inside from making the buttons from working. The button(s) should work now. If they ever stop working again, just give it another blow and voilà!

Mine was kinda finnicky for a while there during Phantom Hourglass, but has come through in a big way for Mariokart. I don't know what changed but something did :D

Lol. Sometimes mine used to work but in a sporadic manner until it stop working completey until I tried this remedy.

My old DS had the same problem, and I've got a new DS now.

I would fix it, but my old DS is broken in half now >_>

My button works, but it's really lost its springiness.

Whenever I tried blowing on it though, I couldn't manage to get any air in there...

I managed to fix my DS Lite this way. Thank you very much. I think it may be because of dust/dirt/etc getting stuck inside the buttons over time. I tried it, not suspecting that anything would happen, and when I was going through my boxes I accidentally pressed my L button out of habit. To my surprise, it moved.
