Well recently I have been using regis in my team mainly regi steel who is awsome but this team is built around destroy regirocks counters and threats. I have alos tried to incorporate a sandstorm theme within the team because I am using regirock who is famous for its love for sandstorm.
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
Ev’s: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Nature:
- Stealth Rocks
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Roar
I always use hippowdon as a lead in sandstorm teams as I like how he doesnt have as many weaknesses as tyranitar. I have always found his to be a solid lead in todays metagame where metagross is a common lead. Aerodactyl and azelf leads are troublesome and I wont deny that but they are not as common as they used to be which is good. Earthquake hits common leads like metagross and heatran hard. Slack off for increased survivability. Roar so he can phaze away troublesome pokes and rack up SR damage. Stealth Rocks to negate sash users.
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Ev’s: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Nature: Naughty
- Earthqueake
- Outrage
- Fire Blast
- U-Turn
The revenge killer. I find scarf flygon to be a good revenge killer as he outspeeds latias and salamence and can ohko them with outrage if they have taken previous damage. Outrage and Earthquake provide near unresisted STAB. The only pokes who are not hit for atleast neatral damage are skarmory and levitate bronzong who are hit hard with Fire Blast. U-Turn allows me to scout the opponents team.
Empoleon @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
Ev’s: 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Nature: Modest
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Agility
- Grass Knot
I have never used empoleon in a team before but I went with him here as I wanted a steel type with a fire resistance so I opted for empoleon. After an agility he outspeed alot of pokemon in the OU teir and he isnt scared of the common priority moves bullet ounch and ice shard thanks to his typing. Hydro pump gives him a powerful Stab move and Ice Beam hits dragons and grass types hard. Grass Knot allows me to hit swampert and other bulky waters.
Rotom-H @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Ev’s: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
- Overheat
- Hidden Power Ground
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
My trick pokemon. I have never used a rotom appliance but they are in alot of teams and counter alot of common threats in the OU metagame so I decide to use one. Overheat hits steel types like lucario and scizor whilst HP Ground can hurt heatran badly thanks to choice specs. Thunderbolt gives some powerful STAB too. Trick allows me to cripple walls like snorlax and blissey. The problem is that I heard that Rotom Forms cant be used on wifi because of a glitch if this is true I will likely replace it. Also I couldnt find a rotom-H pic.
Zapdos @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Ev’s: 4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Hidden Power Grass
- Thunderbolt
Yet another special attacker. I opted to make it a sweeper rather than a wall bceause of the suprise factor. With 100 base speed and 125 based Special Attack zapdos is a powerful poke. Thunderbolt provides a strong STAB attack and hits bulky waters whilts hidden power grass hits pokemon like lanturn and swampert who otherwise wall this set. Heat Wave hits steel types like lucario and scizor. Roost negates life orb damage.
Regirock @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Ev’s: 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 SpD
Nature: Careful
- Curse
- Stone Edge
- Hammer Arm
- Ice Punch
The start of the show. I chose the curse set because after one curse he reaches 355 Attack, 654 Defense and 492 Special Defense making him powerful and hard to take down. I save him for late game when his counters are out of the match so I can hurt teams with him badly thanks to hso godly defenses in sandstorm. Stone Edge for a Strong Stab attack and to hit pokemon like salamence and gyarados who might try to come in and set up though Ice punch hits salamence and other dragosn hard aswell as seriously hurting gliscor. Hammer arm provides and attack for steel types who otherwise wall this set.
Well I just finished making this team today but please be brutal with your comments so I can make the team better.
