::Introduction::
So this is my second RMT. I usually use sand, but I decided to make a rain team this time. So now that thundurus is gone I decided to try out it's little brother. Tornadus. This pokemon is largely underrated as it demolishes teams with its power. With out further babbling here is Team Hurricane.
::The Team::
Politoed @ Chesto Berry
Bold Nature
252 HP - 252 Def - 4 Sp.D
-Scald
-Perish Song
-Toxic
-Rest
Politoed is necessary for all rain teams in OU so there is no detailed explanation why I picked it but there is one for the set. I use a chesto rest set to help win weather wars or just to extend the life of this thing and clear status. Scald even with out any Sp.A investment still does alot due to rain boosting water type moves. Perish Song for everything that wants to set up on me. Toxic to wear down other pokemon and last, rest to stay alive longer. I find now that I have been running rest, I win a lot more weather wars then not.
Tornadus @ Choice Specs
Timid Nature
4 Def - 252 Sp.A - 252 Spd
-Hurricane
-Focus Blast
-Tailwind
-U-Turn
The star of the team. Thundurus on average get 2 kills a match or more. Thundurus also forces a lot of switches wich usually ends up in the opponent having to let something die before getting to the pokemon that can kill me but can't come in on the hurricane as it will get 2 hit killed. Thundurus just generally fucks shit up. Great pokemon and well deserving of the title star of the team.
Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Jolly Nature
4 HP - 252 Attk - 252 Spd
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-X-Scissor
One of the best revenge killers in the game. Also pulls off great late game sweeps when all the opponents fighting resist are gone. Close Combat for a great powerful STAB move, Stone Edge for another powerful STAB move that kills all the flying types that want to resist the close combat. Earthquake for anything close combat and stone edge cant hanndle, and x-scissor for celebi and other psychic types. I find that terrakion can also lure alot of things in and inflict major damage with the correct move depending upon what I predict the opponent to switch to.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Impish Nature
252 HP - 168 Def - 88 Spd
-Earthquake
-Facade
-Protect
-Taunt
Gliscor still remains one of the best physical walls in the game. Covers alot of physical threats. Earthquake for stab, facade levitators and pokemon earthquake can not hit as well as rotom coming in. Protect to gain HP and to scout and taunt to shut down pokemon who want to set up or other pokemon that need to be taunted.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Sassy Nature
252 HP - 48 Def - 208 Sp.D
-Power Whip
-Leech Seed
-Thunder Wave
-Stealth Rocks
Ferrothorn is average in any other weather in my opinion, but in rain it is really good. Mainly support crippling pokemon left and right as well as laying up rocks. Power Whip for a powerful STAB move to get damage leech seed to turn pokemon into health sources thunder wave to cripple alot of pokemon and stealth rocks so pressure is put on the opponents switching as well as insuring many KO's. With its massive fire weakness out of the way in rain because in rain fire moves are only x2 super effective, ferrothorn can do alot more.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
4 Sp.D - 252 Sp.A - 252 Spd
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-Grass Knot
-Rapid Spin
A really good late game sweeper as well as revenger. Great coverage too. Hydro pump is boosted to ridiculous amounts of power due to rain. Hydro Pump fro powerful STAB, ice beam for grass and flying types, grass knot for mainly gastrodon. The reason I dont run HP grass (wich hits rotom better and other lighter pokemon) is because of how much more damage it does to jellicent. Rotom gets 2 hit killed by hydro pump in the rain anyway. and rapid spin to clear hazards to take pressure of my shoulders.
