INTRODUCTION
So yeah, my last RMT did not work out at all, giving very little information, which some friends explained. I looked at some really amazing RMTs that i've found on this forum, such as most of Dezza Laa's RMTs, KG's Solum's core, and then i looked at PK gaming's new RMT, Enter: The dragon. All of which showed very good aspects of their team, the team's playstyles, how they worked, what they were good against, and how to counter the problems that they struggled with. My team is definately not as good as these, as i am posting it on here to get some help with this team, but i hope that it will be soon after posting this! This rain team was created by me and a friend of mine who i don't think goes on these forums, so i will not mention his name unless he decides to post here and reveal himself! I wanted to have another go at a rain team, being that my first rain team was the most successful team of mine that i created by myself, while friends critiqued it. I am not that good at creating these RMTs, so i am hoping to improve my RMT skills now! So without farther ado, here is my team!
Team building Process as of now [May Update if people post new ideas]
I decided to start my rain team off with a pokemon that is, honestly, required on every single rain team, and that is Politoed. The set that i decided to give him at first was a basic Choice Scarf set, since on my older rain team i decided to rely on a slower, more bulkier set.

Next, I decided to add a wall that might help against Sand teams, and that could wall many common threats, and take out gliscors and poison pokemon. I decided to go with bronzong because he is not as common as Ferrothorn, and has levitate so he isnt hit by Excadrill's Earthquake. He also has the ability to set up rocks, and is a mixed attacker.

After i had a wall, i decided to go ahead and set up my sweepers. Since i was in rain, i figured that Scizor would be a perfect choice. His only weakness is fire, which is severly lowered damage wise in rain. He is also a little defensively bulky, and has max HP so it can take a hit. Nothing can really hurt him either so that makes him a perfect addition to any rain team.

Next, i decided to add a special sweeper to my team. At this part in time, i decided to change Politoed to a bulkier pokemon so that he can survive for more turns, and last in weather wars. I gave him a rest talker set, so that he can absorb status, sleep talk, and i gave him hypnosis so that i can put pokes to sleep as well. I then gave him scald so that i can get another status on pokes even when another pokemon is already asleep. With Thundurus, i decided to give him the basic SubPlot combo, except i gave him HP Ice over Focus Blast due to the next poke to enter my team...

I decided that i would need a back up sweeper/wallbreaker/set up on hazard abusers poke. Toxicroak was the perfect choice IMO for a rain team. With the basic substitute set, he gets a lot of viability, often being able to stall pokes out due to Dry Skin, coupled with bulk ups, and he'll be able to regain HP faster than he loses it due to substitute!!! I gave him Drain Punch and sucker punch so that i can recover more HP after a lot of Substitutes, and Sucker Punch for priority.

Now that i had my walls, my sweepers and back up sweeper, i decided that i needed a revenge killer since Politoed's set got changed to a bulkier one. I decided to go with a scarfed Haxorus, considering that his attack stat was monstrous at 432 atk with an adamant nature, and a decent 295 spd with a neutral nature. Scarf puts him at 438 speed, which was really nice. Outrage kind of rips through everything, usually a 2hko or 3hko on steels.

Here i made a lot of changes. I decided to switch Bronzong with metagross so that i can have a wall that can set up and sweep if i want to. I used an agility set with him, which worked rather nicely when it worked, but wasnt as effective as i would like it. I switched out Toxicroak for Mamoswine here because he could take the roles of both Toxicroak and Haxorus. With a stab ice priority move, in a metagame where many pokes such as Gliscor and [used to be] Garchomp and MANY other 4x weaknesses to ice, in a power house such as Mamoswine is just perfect. I'm thinking about making him Scarfed but i'm not sure. In the last slot which i had open, i decided to try a specially defensive togekiss as an annoyance pokemon. I did not want to put Jirachi in at the time because i did not want 3 steels on my team, regardless of what happened. He really helped because he crippled many pokes with thunder wave, as well as provided wish support for my entire team!

From here, i decided to see what would help my team the most. I decided to switch out pokes for other pokemon that could make my team's job easier, as well as take out threats to sweep. With that i decided to switch out Metagross for Jirachi, and my Togekiss for Latios. My Jirachi set happens to be the normal set, with body slam and iron head, and then i have wish and protect to take over Togekiss' role. I gave Mamoswine stealth rocks as well. With Latios, i gave it an expert belt, so that i can take out many threats of my team, and sweepers so that i can sweep faster.

After i posted the RMT, many people offered many ideas that have greatly helped my team. The first of which is that Rest-Talk Politoed was unobtainable legally, because the breeding process is impossible. I switched Stealth Rock from Jirachi for protect as well. Scizor remained the same, which is really nice for me, because he is amazing at what he does. Thundurus got his set switched from a SubPlot set to just a NP +3 attacks set. On Mamoswine, i switched Stone Edge for Icicle Crash, and i switched SuperPower for Stealth Rocks, in case my new team member didnt switch in correctly. Finally, Chimpakt reccommended replacing Latios with Xatu, since they both have similar typing. Xatu really helps my team out because he gives reflect, and with magic bounce he can stop effect attacks coming at my team such as stealth rocks or leech seed. He is my defensive wall, and helps my other pokemon take physical attacks with reflect.
That is where i am at the moment with my team building process.

Politoed (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 240 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Protect
- Scald
- Perish Song
- Encore

- Protect
- Scald
- Perish Song
- Encore
Politoed is my main pokemon for a rain team because... well he has drizzle so nothing else to say on that. I gave him some even defensive EVs, with a bold nature, and close to max HP. I made Politoed a supportoed so that he can stop people from setting up, stall pokemon out with Perish Song, and spread burn with scald STAB. Scald also really helps with physical threats to my team, such as many fighting types, and for Conkeldurr, or and other physical guts users, i just Perish song so that he is forced to switch out or sacrifice itself. Either way, Supportoed really can save me a game with perish song and Encore. I chose this set over Rest Talk set because as a rater pointed out, its not possible to breed a rest talk set, so i scrapped it and used the support toed set that a friend of mine gave me.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Protect
- Wish

- Wish
Jirachi is an annoying pokemon, and is perfect in rain, with only 2 weaknesses to earth and fire, and one of them being greatly subdued in rain, and the other is countered by two of my pokemon having levitate, or is flying type. This is a standard Haxrachi set, which includes wish and protect as healing for Rachi, and to pass wish. He is also a special defensive wall. I decided to include Jirachi on my team because paracripple helps my Scizor sweep since i have no Speed EVs invested in him. Also really helps against special attackers setting up on me. Honestly, Jirachi is an amazing pokemon, and i love it when people rage on me like "Jirachi should be banned", or "Pokemon isnt meant to be luck". And i just say
I got rid of stealth rocks on rachi and put in protect so that i can have a reliable means of recovery, as well as scout for choice users and what there move is.

Scizor (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Swords Dance

- Swords Dance
Scizor is my main physical sweeper, and sets up late game after many of the opponents pokemon have been crippled from burn, sleep, or paralysis. With one or 2 swords dances, coupled with 2 stab + technician boosted moves, one of them being priority, you have a lot of trouble on your hands. SuperPower is just for pokemon who resist my 2 STAB moves. I mainly go with bullet punch though in a revenge killing situation though because of its priority. I gave Scizor 252 HP instead of some speed so that he can survive a hit or 2 depending on what move type it is and if its physical or special. Scizor is an amazing poke, and i think it's even gotten better in the 5th gen. I have not changed anything with Scizor up to this point since i posted the RMT.

Thundurus (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Here is my special sweeper, Thundurus. Thundurus is really a god because it could either cripple pokemon if it wanted to, or set up for a deadly Nasty Plot sweep. I am thinking about switching HP Ice to focus blast at the moment because i do not have a fighting type pokemon on thsi team. Other than that, i have the usual SubPlot Thundurus here. I usually switch him in if i get a free switch, or if i predict a ground type move against Rachi. I took off the substitute and put in focus blast because i find that it works better than the subplot set. It also gives me more type coverage than a subplot set.

Xatu (M) @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Reflect
- Night Shade
- Toxic
Xatu is the newest addition to my team, really helping my team out since i posted this RMT. He replaced the Latios under the Used to be on my Team section of my RMT. I think that this was a good choice because he is more defensive, and my team is really lacking a physically defensive wall. Xatu's main purpose is to use his Magic Bounce ability to bounce back Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rocks, and then set up reflect on the switch. If the switch is a pokemon that doesnt really threaten me,[I.E. Physical attacker after reflect and max Def + Max HP], than i proceed to Toxic, and Night Shade so that i can put the sweeper on the timer here. My last moveslot that i have not yet talked about, Roost, is for a recovery move, and helps if someone is going to use a SE move that only affects my flying part, [I.E. Ice Beam].

Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Oblivious
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

Mamoswine is a really awesome pokemon, taking care of most of my threats, and with 2 great types for STAB, one of them being priority! With the ability to set up Stealth rock also is incredible! I usually use Mamoswine as a revenge killer with a STAB LO Ice shard, but if i know that i am faster than another pokemon, i'll go for a STAB Earthquake or Stone Edge to take the pokemon out. This pokemon really helps against sandstorm teams, because it can hit many of their pokemon hard with either Ice Shard or Earthquake, and is honestly faster than most of them. I am contemplating switching Mamo's set to a scarfed set and making him adamant, but i am not sure at the moment.
POKEMON THAT USED TO BE ON MY TEAM BUT GOT REPLACED:

Latios (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Thunder
Trait: Levitate

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Thunder
This Latios absolutely wrecks many pokemon this generation not being ubers. Dragon Pulse and Psyshock for STAB, Thunder and Surf because i am not going to be tricking my expert belt, and i get 100% Accuracy with Thunder, and a boosted Surf from the rain. With Expert belt i can come in and trick people to switch out into a counter to the one move, obviously thinking my latios is specs since there is no recovery or health drop, than, if i have a super effective move on that pokemon, i usually attack and get a 1hko, and if not, i switch out unless its really low, than i just use the same attack to continue the gimmick bait. I also have Psyshock so that i can take care of both special and physical walls. Replaced for Xatu!
