SS OU Hyper Defense Balance Team!!!

Hi, Iv'e been making a team with unique defensive mons that counter common threats in OU and would like to share it. Hope anyone reading this enjoys the team and feel free to share any constructive feedback you might have.

Ricochet (Hawlucha) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog

Defensive hawlucha is an amazing urshifu counter, being able to stop its most common sets, such as life orb, choice band, and bulk up even better than mons like clefable due to it not being weak to moves like iron head or poison jab. It's also the teams defogger, pivot, and even an additional switch-in to rillaboom.

Soba (Tangrowth) (M)
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Focus Blast
- Sleep Powder

Itemless tangrowth is the team's answer to crawdaunt, zeraora, and another switch-in to rillaboom. It's regenerator ability provides it with longevity to come in multiple times on physical threats and either put opposing mons to sleep with sleep powder or knock off their items. Giga drain is for added recovery alongside regenerator, while also providing grass type STAB, and focus blast is to hit mons like ferrothorn.

Kryptonite (Gigalith) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rock Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Gravity

Gigalith's purpose on the team is to be a switchin and counter to volcarona, togekiss, rotom-h and sub icicle spear kyurem thanks to rock blast. It's also the team's special wall, rocker, and counters sun teams pretty well. Toxic is used to wear down opposing mons and poison mons like mantine that want to defog away your stealth rocks. It's last move being gravity can be helpful for excadrill to become a threat to mons like skarmory and corviknight, but if it isn't being used very often, rest can be used instead for more longevity.

Boss (Excadrill) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
- Swords Dance

Excadrill is used as the team's electric immunity to stop volt turn teams from constantly pivoting around, it's steel typing is useful as it can switch in on specs magnezone at least once and if played well can potentially prevent the mon from ripping and pivoting through the team's defenses, leftovers are used to increase it's longevity. While earthquake is used for the accuracy and power, high horse power can be used instead for matchups involving grassy terrain. Swords dance and rapid spin allow excadrill to potentially sweep or break through teams and sand rush allows it to act as speed control for scarfed mons when the battlefield is in a sandstorm from gigalith's sand stream ability.

Diplo (Dragapult) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- U-turn

Specs thunderbolt infiltrator dragapult is on the team to check pokemon like sub primarina and azumarill after it belly drums or takes enough chip to be beaten by thunderbolt, it also acts as a good breaker of corviknight and other walls that aren't running enough special defense with specs boosted STAB moves like shadow ball and draco meteor, and is the team's primary speed control to outspeed most mons that aren't scarfed.

Po (Urshifu) @ Life Orb
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wicked Blow
- Close Combat
- Poison Jab
- Sucker Punch

Finally, the last team member is life orb urshifu, and it's purpose is to be a wall breaker on the team and have priority. Thanks to dragapult's u-turn, it should be fairly easy to get Urshifu in on mons like blissey as you pivot out so it can break through it or other mons, allowing dragapult to spam specs boosted special attacks more freely. Due to its access to priority in sucker punch and need to do high damage versus mons like mandibuzz to effectively break them, Urshifu is adamant natured. Even though it's outsped by jolly rillaboom, that shouldn't be much of an issue considering the team has multiple answers to rillaboom and in many cases rilaboom are also adamant natured. Life orb eases predicting more than choice band and allows for more aggression since you can switch up what move to use based on the opponent in front of you and take advantage of priority sucker punch in the face of faster opponents. Also, with life orb you can still potentially 2hko mons like mandibuzz with close combat and threaten team's defensive mons with wicked blow. Poison Jab is for clefable and primarina.

Weakness Analysis:

Though this team can counter a large umber of offensive threats in OU, hard hitting special attackers that don't fear gigalith such as primarina and nasty plot hydreigon can still threaten it greatly due to the team not having any true switch-ins to them. Additionally, an aggressively played specs magnezone can break through the team if it takes out excadrill swiftly.

Very creative team, I especially like defensive Hawlucha! Would love to see some replays of the team in action =)
Ironically, opposing Hawluchas are a bit of problem for this team, though they are not that common. Best change I can think of is using another breaker over Urishifu and beat it with better suited priority, I'd suggest Crawdaunt. But Urishifu is so good and Lucha is not that common...
Anyway, great team =)

Hey there, I'm here to rate your team

The first question I have is regrading Gigalith. Why is this being used over Tyranitar? By your own description, Tyranitar is a much better check to Togekiss, Volcarona, Rotom-H etc, and has much better stats overall. The first change would be to replace Gigalith with Tyranitar. Tyranitar is also a much better answer to Hydreigon, a Pokemon you mentioned as being a weakness for your team.

While I think the Hawlucha set is quite unique, I think it's outclassed as a Defog user by Corviknight and Skarmory. Yes it is a better answer to Urshifu, but Skarmory outclasses Hawlucha as a Defog user in every other way, and can also help Excadrill sweep with Spikes support. Skarmory also helps against opposing Hawlucha, which as already pointed out could be troublesome for you. In short, replaced Hawlucha with Skarmory.

Lastly, you mention how Special Attackers such as Hydreigon and Primarina can be tough to deal with. The best solution I see to address this issue is to replace Tangrowth with Amoonguss. Skarmory helps pick up the slack for physical hits, and Amoonguss acts in a similar role to Tangrowth, but is able to more easily check special attackers like Primarina and Magnezone. These changes should help improve your team, and address the weaknesses you yourself pointed out. Give it a try! Hope I helped

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- Superpower
- Thunder Wave

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Body Press

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic

But i think hawlucha is good because u see, with the increase in use of magnet pull specs magnezone defogging utility of corvi or skarm are greatly threatened. In such a situation hawlucha having more speed than zone (which skarm or corvi lacks) can easily pivot out using u-turn unless opponent runs scarf magnezone. But yeah i still feel in terms of defogging corvi and skarm are good here.BUT at the same time i feel this unique hawlucha IS REALLY GOOD in terms of defogging and utility.
