SS OU Hyper Ofenssive Rain Team

Good Night. Please give me some help on this team!
Its a Rain based team, with the idea of taking the most out of rain and quickly sweep the enemy team with 3 Physical attacker, 2 Sp Attacker and Pelipper to set The Rain and also cover a bit of the lacking Sp Attack.
Its only the second team i Build so it needs some polishing hehe.

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Outrage
- Waterfall

He was here INITIALLY to Gigantamax, but that was banned :/, but he was already in the build so i decided to keep it in. Its a strong Pshycal Sweeper. I wasn’t going to build Dragon dance since it was planned to Gigantamax, so now i need to rethink this. Also the only one with Ground Move to stop Eletric pokemon.

Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 28 SpA / 68 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- U-turn
- Roost
- Hurricane

As i said before, Pelliper is here bassicaly to set the rain. But he becomes quite powerfull with Hurricane on Rain. U-turn and roost to try to recycle him the most and keep setting the rain. Scald don’t need much explanation, it is a Sp Water move to be boosted by rain.

Barraskewda @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Liquidation
- Drill Run
- Poison Jab

My favorite Rain Sweeper of the game i guess. Can outspeed almost anything in rain and has quite the damage. Close combat and poison jab for type cover. Liquidation as a strong Water Move. Life Orb to Damage Boost whithout sacrificing the Type Cover with the "choice" itens.

Dracovish @ Choice Band
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fishious Rend
- Psychic Fangs
- Crunch
- Outrage

Wasn’t that willing to put him at first, but i quite don’t have a choise on this on. Really strong Rain Sweeper with Fishious Rend. Psychic Fangs has a good utility effect, and makes good use of its Strong jaw. The same goes for Crunch, while Outrage is a must with great power and to take down dragons. Don't quite like the 'choice' itens, but this was the standart item for him so i keept it.

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Thunder
- Shadow Ball
- U-turn

Now for the Sp Attackers. Dragapult is a Top Tier pokemon, great Sp Attacker and can take the most of rain with Thunder, which is the real reason for me to put him in the team. Draco Meteor is a must to face dragontypes that can OHKO him, Shadow ball for type cover and u-Turn for the utility use. As i said, don't like the 'choice', but i don't know if Life orb is as good.

Rotom-Wash @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split

I wished to use Kingdra, but it isn’t in the game yet... So, we will use what we can. Rotom-Wash With Thunder and Hydro Pump for the rain. Volt Switch and Pain split for more endurance. I Levitate helps him with EarthQuake since he is a Eletric type, and Life Orb to damage boost while Keeping the ability to Pain split if necessary.

Any changes/Suggestions/Replacements ? Anything is Helpfull. Thanks a lot for your time!

I would prefer replacing Wash with Ferrothorn in order to prevent rain abusers from your opponents.

Replace Choice Band on Fish with Scarf.

I’d replace U-turn or Thunder with Fire Blast.

For Barraskewda, replace your last 2 moves with Crunch and Psychic Fangs.

Hi, great job on your second team! Rain offense is an excellent playstyle right now, and has many options to break its checks and counters. You're off to a good start, but let's see what we can improve on :) I will try to explain all the choices as best as I can.

Set Change Suggestions

As the previous post mentioned, Barraskewda should replace Drill Run and Poison Jab with Crunch and Psychic Fangs. Why are these more optimal? For one, while Drill Run is a Ground-type move that can hit Toxapex super-effectively, Psychic Fangs does the same while also allowing you to hit defensive Kommo-o harder as well. Defensive Kommo-o is a soft check to rain, but can also become a big headache if it manages to get an Iron Defense boost. Furthermore, Psychic Fangs has the benefit of breaking Light Screen and Reflect, which can be useful in situations against Dual Screen or Aurora Veil Hyper Offense Teams. Crunch is a better choice because it matches up well against the metagame. Currently, Ghost-types are some of the most commonly used and most viable Pokemon (Aegislash, Dragapult, etc.) By using Crunch, you guarantee the OHKO on most Aegislash variants in Shield-form, without having to risk Waterfall getting a minimum roll.

The proposed Barraskewda set would look like this:

Barraskewda @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Liquidation
- Psychic Fangs
- Crunch

You may also want to consider changing the EV spread on Pelipper. Speed investment isn't necessary on most weather setters because the slower weather setter gets to keep their setup. Also, lower speed means that you get a slower U-turn, potentially grabbing you more momentum. The 68 Spe EVs you have on Pelipper make you outspeed Corviknight, which is often bad. If you U-Turn first against a Corviknight also clicking U-turn on you, they are in a position where they can bring out whatever Pokemon they want on you as their U-turn goes last. A fully Defense invested set also gives you more bulk and longevity, which is incredibly important for Pelipper as it will often switch in many times during a game.

The proposed Pelipper set would look like this:

Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Roost
- U-turn
- Defog

I would also propose, as the previous post said, to change Dracovish from Choice Band to Choice Scarf. In the rain, you are oftentimes doing more than enough damage with Fishious Rend to the point where you don't really even need the band. Being scarfed also makes Dracovish much more of an offensive threat, allowing it to outspeed things such as Rotom-Heat, Togekiss, Terrakion, Gengar, Kyurem, etc that it wasn't able to before.

The proposed Dracovish set would look like this:

Dracovish @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fishious Rend
- Psychic Fangs
- Crunch
- Outrage

Pokemon Change Suggestions

While Gyarados is a cool Dragon Dance sweeper, it is a bit redundant on a team with already two powerful Water-type physical attackers. The set you listed also doesn't include its main attraction, and is a bit underwhelming in my opinion. Instead, I would recommend you change Gyarados to Seismitoad:

Seismitoad @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Earth Power
- Grass Knot
- Focus Blast

Not only is Seismitoad another great Swift Swim abuser, it's also a special attacker that can threaten opposing Seismitoad with Water Absorb and Ferrothorn, two big headaches for Rain Offense teams. Physically defensive Seismitoad (the most common variant) is OHKOed by a Life Orb-boosted Grass Knot, and most Ferrothorn sets will fold to Focus Blast (provided it actually hits). Seismitoad is the best option here because it matches up very well against some of the most difficult Pokemon for your team to deal with.

Though Rotom-Wash does have its benefits, your team is in dire need of an opposing Rain check and most importantly, hazards. Setting up hazards can be the difference between a 3HKO and a 2HKO, or a 2HKO and a OHKO. Hazards also help break Focus Sashes, and punish your opponent from switching a lot and pivoting around your Rain abusers. Ferrothorn is an obvious choice, but can also be very passive. Therefore, I recommend defensive Kommo-o:

Kommo-o @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Defense
- Earthquake

Not only is it a Water-resist, Kommo-o can also check Bisharp which is a huge offensive threat that can obliterate you if it has a Swords Dance up. Sucker Punch has priority which bypasses your high speed and can easily OHKO everything on your team with a boost. Swords Dance Air Balloon Aegislash can also sweep your team late-game when all your Pokemon are weakened with a priority Shadow Sneak. Kommo-o can answer that as well. Kommo-o can also serve as a check to Zeraora without Play Rough, but can often still survive that in a pinch. Iron Defense can also serve as a win condition against teams that have mostly physical attackers.

Overall, I think your team is a very good second attempt. With a few tweaks here and there, it could definitely be a viable team. Please don't hesitate to reply to this comment with any further questions or comments :)
