Hyperoffensive OU Team.

I made this team fairy recently, and right now of the 10 battles i've done its undefeated. But I hope to improve it becomes I feel there's a large weakness somewhere. The whole idea of the team is to hit hard and keep up the pressure on the opponent, never giving them a moment of rest.

The team starts off with:

Alakazam(M)@Focus Sash
Ability:Inner Focus
Nature:Timid
Ev's:36HP/252SpA/220Spe
-Psychic
-Hidden Power (Fire)
-Signal Beam
-Grass Knot

I know, it looks like a wierd lead, but its worked wonders so far. Out of the 10 battles i had, 8 were Azelf leads. I signal beam as they SR, and then 5 of those 8 times they switched to Scizor, in which I Hidden power Fired and they got OHKO'd on the switch-in. It's amazing. Psychic for a strong STAB and his suicide attack when his sash kicks in, and Grass Knot for bulky grounds, waters, and his best option against TTar. Too bad Heatran owns this set.

Dragonite(F)@Life Orb
Ability:Inner Focus
Nature:Rash
Ev's:112Atk/200SpA/196Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Thunderbolt
-Fire Blast
-Superpower

Dragonite forms half of the core of this team. The mixed set is very powerful and complements Salamence really well. Draco Meteor is strong STAB and his main move. Thunderbolt for Bulky waters, Fire Blast for Steels, and Superpower to stop Blissey and Snorlax. This baby usually comes in to open up for Salamence.

salamence.jpg

Salamence(M)@Life Orb
Ability:Intimidate
Nature:Rash
Ev's:120Atk/252SpA/136Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast
-Outrage

The second part of the duo and the Finisher. Once Dragonite weakens the enemy walls Salamence comes in to finish the job. The moves are obvious. Draco Meteor/Outrage for mixed STABs, and Earthquake/Fire Blast for coverage and to deal with counters.

mamoswine.png

Mamoswine(F)@Life Orb
Ability:Snow Cloack
Nature:Adamant
Ev's:24HP/252Atk/232Spe
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Ice Shard

Mamoswine is vital to the team. It sets up the rocks and helps further weaken walls like Swampert for Salamence. It also offers an Electric immunty to help soak up those Thunder Waves. Ice Shard is to make sure Dnite and Mence won't sweep my team.

94.png

Gengar(M)@Choice Scarf
Ability:Levitate
Nature:Timid
Ev's:4HP/252SpA/252Spe
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power (Ice)/Focus Blast
-Trick

Scarfgar is one of the greatest revenge killers in the game. Thunderbolt helps stop Gyara sweeps and Hidden power Ice helps get rid of Mence and Dnite. But i've been thinking about Focus Blast to help deal with TTar and Tran because Mamo's ice shard deals with the former 2 well enough. The accuracy sucks sadly. Trick is great to mess up walls.

lucario.png

Lucario(F)@Choice Specs
Ability:Inner Focus
Nature:Modest
Ev's:4HP/252SpA/252Spe
-Aura Sphere
-Shadow Ball
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Vacuum Wave

Specsluke is a large threat because there is very little that can stop him, and with this set the list gets lower. Aura Sphere is his strongest attack and can even bring down Blissey, while Shadow Ball provides an unresisted attack combo. The rest of the attacks are mostly filler. Hidden Power Ice is mainly to smack around Zapdos and other flyers, while Vacuum wave is a nice priority attack that comes in handy against scarftran and SDluke.

Thanks for looking.

Hello again Kagster123.

I just finished battling this team IIRC. The first thing I noticed after we finished our battle was that a Choice Scarfed Heatran can pummel through your team. Four of your Pokemon are weak to it and Gengar can't really take a Fire Blast from it.

You also have a lot of special attackers. Gengar and Alakazam work somewhat alike. I suggest you take off Alakazam and find a different lead to work with.

A Choice Scarfed Heracross can also plow through 4/6 members. Pursuiting Gengar, Close Combating Lucario and Mamowine, and Megahorning Alakazam.

I don't exactly know which of your Pokemon you can replace since I'm not too good with that yet an I'm still learning. I can try to look up so Pokemon you can replace with your team to improve it though if you'd like me to.

You have some Scizor problems; Bullet Punch severely hurts everything on your team except Lucario, which isn't going to switch in too many times. Metagross hits even harder with Meteor Mash. Both can hit Gengar and Alakazam with Pursuit, as well. Other Mamoswine can also be an issue, and you're also exclusively dependent on Lucario for that. If you lose Gengar or its Choice Scarf, you have nothing against Gyarados. By fitting Vaporeon and Choice Scarf Heatran onto the team, you can deal with most of the issues, except Mamoswine's Earthquake; Heatran can supplant Gengar without opening up any major holes, while you can pick with Vaporeon from Alakazam, Dragonite, and Lucario.

I've fought this a number of times last night and I noticed you have a really big Jirachi weakness. Fire and Ice Punches hit your team really hard and Iron Head coming from a Scarfed Jirachi makes Alakazam really easy to pick off.

Draco Meteor hits really hard, but once its used Suicune easily comes in and creates havoc.

Also Psycho Shift Flame Orb Cresselia is a true bitch to deal with for this team. (I've been noticing a lot of overly offensive teams and I've been starting to use her again to great success.)

This will beat most bog standard teams, but you are going to lose a lot against teams that have a balance of offense and defense.

Once Lucario gets locked into a move that isn't Aura Sphere Blissey happily waltzes in and you are forced to switch.

I would suggest getting rid of Specs on Lucario, making it Timid, and giving it CM over Vaccuum Wave. (Expert Belt would make up for the loss of attacking power after 1 CM.)

The dual Dragons I don't think are helping you much with their shared weaknesses, I would suggest putting a bulky water like Vaporeon there. I know you are striving for an all out offensive, but it just doesn't work against more balanced teams.

I have never been able to find a really solid use for Life Orbers either... If your opponent outpredicts you you easily waste 10, 20, 30 or more percent of your health trying to hit something. I personally think Expert Belt has less drawback and doesn't just as easily tell your opponent your item.

I think that you are the only person that uses that Cresselia MTI (although more should its so hard to take down for an offensive team) so don't worry about that too much. Dragonite and Salamences roles overlap at the moment and create more weaknesses then they do benifits although if one of them was DD then you would be okay.

Life Orb is great so keep that (Dragon is only resisted by steel so don't worry about being outpredicted much). Azelf > Alakazam because Azelf can do all of what alakazam does + explode and this gap created by explosion will help you out a lot. Standard suicide lead is good which frees up mamoswine to use Ice Fang or Superpower.

You have a big scizor weakness at the moment so changing gengar into rotom would help with this and not disrupt the team too much. The moveset should be: Trick / Thunderbolt / Shadowball / <Insert signature move (most likely hydro pump or overheat)>

To summarise:
-Change Alakazam to the standard SR lead Azelf

-Change Salamence or Dragonite into a DD version or just replace
one of them altogether

-Change Gengar into a Scarfed Rotom (Rotom-H if scizor is concerning or Rotom-W if Heatran is a bigger Problem)
