I am kinda new here...

Well this is my first thread I ever created in this site, so i decided to first improve my team.

The team I’m trying to create is something ver special, because I decided to make it able for doubles and singles battles (since those were the rules of the last tournament I went).

The next thing I’m trying is to avoid using legendaries, since they are banned in many tourneys, and also I’m trying to make a team that only uses one of the folowing pokemon: Metagross, Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp, Tyranitar.

So well here it is my team (the same I used in the tourney):

Simple special sweeper and also a surprise, for hose who expects the very common physical sweeper, it also takes some dark or ice hits directed to my pokes, survive, and begin with the counterattack.


Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs:6 Hp/ 252 Atk/252 Spd/

Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Outrage

A revenge killer for excellence, it is a great surprise for some trainers, an once the steel walls are gone for the team, it almost means a victory for you with outrage. It may comes into play receiving an electric attack, such as thunder wave, or it can also intercepts a fire attack for bronzong or lucario.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs:188 Hp/ 252 Def/ 68 Sp Atk

Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Yawn


This is my team’s healer, just by passing wishes’ into those who have risked their hp to save others, also this work as my bulky water, and does not receives a lot of damage from the commonly grass knot.

Brozong @ Shed Shell

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Hp/ 128 Def/ 128 Sp Atk
338/210/300/177/330/63


Sassy nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Hypnosis
- Explosion


A supporter, it sets a layer of floating rocks, and also sleeps the opponents, so this is my third sleep inducer, gyro ball is it’s only attacking move and explosion as a last resort. Shed Shell is for the magnezones, since bronzing isn’t using earthquake. It comes in aid of infernape.

Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Sp Atk/ 240 Spd / 18 Atk

Naive nature (+Spd, -Sp Def)

The standard mixed sweeper, it absorbs w-o-w, fast, strong… not much to say.

Also Im wondering if I may change the Garchomp for a Salamence:

Welcome to smogon, here are some things I saw.

You probably don't want to use lonely on garchomp. Use adamant instead. Even though it hurts fire blast a little bit garchomp's defenses aren't that bad. You can still 2hko (I may be wrong) skarmory with fire blast with adamant. Lonely can't 2hko bronzong anyways.

Sassy nature (+Def, -Spd) this is wrong.

You also don't really need to put the stats up, just EV's and natures are fine.

I'm not an expert rater, however, I reckon I should point a few things out:

You have a Bronzong with physical attacking moves, with special attack EVs distributed. How does that help those physical moves power-wise? It doesn't. Use this set:

EVs: 252 Hit Points / 128 SpecsDefence / 128 Attack

- Gyro Ball

- Hypnosis
- Explosion

You need a special wall / supporter, since you already have Vaporeon for defence.

Also, give Garchomp Adamant Nature.

Oh, and give Vaporeon Hidden Power [Electric].. Even though Garchomp has Stone Edge, it's possible that it will miss, or you could consider that BulkyGyara, paired with Intimidate could survive it and hit you back with Ice Fang, whereas Vaporeon takes little damage and can OHKO ( If I recall correctly / 2HKO ) with HP [Electric].

Like I said, I'm not an expert rater - I'm somewhat of a beginner... I'm pretty sure you're weak to a few things, however, it's late and I cannot be bothered to point them out.
 
humm... those evs in "sp atk" were for Sp Def...

I havent thought about a an HP electric... so thanks, but should i take ice beam or surf for the HP electric ?

I didn't see that post... I posted before and never looked back, but I still suggest you put those in Attack, however I guess Special Defence is somewhat of a viable option, too.

Er, well, I'd suggest putting it over Surf, however, since you struggle against enemy Garchomps too, I'd replace Surf for Hidden Power [Electric]. Then again, if you have Chomp asleep already ( via Zong ), put it over Ice Beam.

Edit; Why Yawn? Personally, I'd put HP [Electric] over that...
