I am looking for someone to help me make a team.

I pretty much just got into competitive battling yesterday, so i just know the basics. I am at the point where i need to decide how exactly to make a team.
I know the terms, the different "Jobs", etc, but i have been pondering how to make a team for what seems like years. It seems like there are too many combinations. I dont know if this is the right place to post this, but it looks good enough. I can post an instant messanger email if anyone is willing to help me that way. Thanks!

P.S.- i am not very familiar with the D/P pokemon, but im pretty familiar with the rest.
 
Rather than asking people to make you a team, I would suggest attempting to make your own team, posting it, and then gathering comments. I plan on doing this very soon as well, as I am still crunching numbers and running through the list of threats.

Do what I've been doing and lurk for a few months and/or do the tutoring program first. When I look back on when I first joined Smogon it's pretty ridiculous how much I've learned since then from osmosis alone.
 
Thanks for all the help and support! I am on my way to assembling a team right now, and hopefully i can get it posted and critiqued.
 
You should also take a look at the announcements and sticky threads at the top of the board. They'll help a lot if you're not entirely familiar with DP yet.
