I am New, Please Rate my team

Hi all, I've just started playing D/P and hence i rarely win. The following is the team with which i win at least once in two or three times. I would like to improve, so please add your suggestions, etc.

Roserade (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I couldn't find any other good special attacker with good speed, so chose this one for opening. Also, sleep can be quite handy with 305 speed.

Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/76 Def/180 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Thunderpunch
- Shadow Sneak
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split

My physical wall (not working very well at the moment). Will o Wisp can cut down attacks for good, then i thunderpunch/shadow sneak based on their types. I'm having a lot of problems with Tyranitars since they sub and stop the WoW and their Crunches do close to 50%. Any suggestions for substituting this guy would be welcome.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/100 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Taunt

He works quite well, my main damager. Switch into a wall, do 2 Dragon Dances and this guy gets quite powerful. I switch into the guy below if i expect an electric attack.

Electivire (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Cross Chop
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch

If Motor Drive works, he's faster than almost anyone. I can get super effective hits against most and expert belt helps out.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 148 HP/252 Def/4 Spd/104 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Ice Beam
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled

Nothing much to say, cure status and support.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 172 HP/216 Spd/120 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Surf

Mainly used for rapid spin. Generally out speeds most dragons without a scarf and can take them out in an ice beam.

My team as a whole can not resist rock attacks and hence stone edge is always a problem. I am also having troubles countering a Gengar.

Did you just take the first set from the analysis in every poke and try to make a team?

I don't mean to sound mean or anything, but a bit of flair and originality is always good. Plus, jolly is an overkill on electivire.

u might wanna give electivire thunder bolt > thunder punch and change the nature to lonely or hasty/naive also give some sp attack ev's from attack

I'll finish this post, cuz I'm a nice guy.

You'll want to do all that because skarmory, weezing, and other physical walls will stop you early on. Which is a bummer, considering motor drive will only work once.

Thats true. I did mention that I'm new and I'm stupid in D/P battling. So, i didn't have a choice.

Hah. It's OK. We just like synergy around here, tactics that work well together. I think there's a thread on it somewhere in the RMT board.

Happy teambuilding!

If u are using Pain Split on Dusknoir, give him less hp to max its effect. I have one too and his EVs look like this: 58 HP / 252 Attack / 100 Def / 100 Sp. Def.
Of course mine is Adamant and I use him as a sweeper with a defensive baton passer. Yours should have those attack points spread between defenses and he should work much better.

No way, Dusknoir should always have max HP. Not doing so lessens its impact as a wall.

Really? How is that working out for you? I find he needs maximum HP, and pain split is really there second to leftovers.

Whatever works for you, I guess. But this could work.

And a defensive baton passer to dusky? Badass.

Maybe u're right and my dusknoir only works because he has Drifblim to baton pass Stockpile and Liechi berry.

But In that case I'd suggest to give him full Defense EV instead of Sp.Def since he already has blissey.

A steel type is a neccesity IMO, you have no resist to dragon, which means that you can't switch into either CB Tyranitar or Garchomp, although both are going to be hard-pressed to switch in on this team.
