The Team

BW7_Blue_Black_Kyurem_Coin.png

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 96 Atk / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Protect
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt

i've noticed kyurem-b falling out of favor lately but i feel with fini+zap, zygarde, etc everywhere it could probably do something cool. set is fairly standard, stab+earth power hits most everything while fusion bolt hits the bulky waters (and helps rain matchup) that resist the special coverage. the spread is benchmarked for some kind of milotic ohko/2hko that i've forgotten and could probably be optimized a bit.

Landorus_PG.png

Landorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Protect
- Earth Power
- Sludge Bomb
- Rock Slide

landorus is here mainly to keep kyurem from having to spam earth power and improve its damage output. again the stab+coverage goes mostly unresisted with rock slide to punish floaty things like zard-y, rotom-heat, zapdos, etc. i chose incarnate over therian mainly due to only one eq immunity on my side and for the coverage for fairies.

Frost_Rotom_Adventures.png

Rotom-Heat @ Firium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 12 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Electroweb
- Protect

rotom-heat is nice to patch the sun and koko weakness a bit and provides some speed control (courtesy of Matame's insight <3) to help let the two main breakers do their job. firium z lets it click overheat twice without switching out which is useful given my lack of much other bulk. i've yet to try something like volt switch>thunderbolt but it could be cool to cut down on the need to sack for the to be mentioned wincon to setup.

Tapu_Lele_Adventures.png

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam

lele is a combination of speed and priority control while giving me a primary revenge killer and a dragon check that wins more 1v1s than kyurem. this alleviates pressure from koko, mence, gengar, zygarde (assuming only +1), etc. and has spread that can let it clean late game. generally good mon in the meta rn.

Mega_Metagross_anime.png

Metagross-Mega @ Metagrossite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Substitute
- Iron Head
- Zen Headbutt

i like metagross to cover lele+psychic matchup to an extent with help from my own lele and/or rotom (for deo and oppising meta, respectively). meta also checks a few tr mons such as bulu and diancie. the set is fairly simple though i've been considering running ice punch over sub as useful as it is.

Z2_50_Percent_Forme_Dragon_Pulse.png

Zygarde @ Leftovers
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Thousand Arrows

zygarde is broken sets up easily taking advantage of my strong attackers for bulky threats to it and lele for faster mons. arrows cleans very easily due to my several aegislash/steela checks. tr matchup is the main threat to its sweep but otherwise it wins games quite often.

lele sun/lele+psychic is obviously a playable matchup but it forces you to play a certain way which can be abused
720UMS.png
tr with hoopa (or in general tbh) can drag down the team and force sacks to stall out turns
279.png
i found out the hard way in ssnl that wide guard pelipper can force 50/50s with zygarde that aren't easily preventable due to my preferred bird checks not liking rain sweepers

Conclusion
the team works rather well doesn't outright lose any matchups despite not having the best of them. i'm open to about everything as long as the framework remains the same.

Mishimono give me liked for metagross imo
Matame thanks for the help on the heattom set bby <3

hey cool team. i noticed this team has a lot of trouble vs rain sweepers, especially kingdra. kingdras the biggest issue because with its dual stab it kills everything in this team under rain, and you have very little ways to deal with it. another threat i noticed to this team was hp ice heatran. hp ice heatran is also something that can give this team a lot of trouble since with hp ice + fire blast it hits all of this team hard. with that being said here is my suggested change.

to help deal with rain i would run gastrodon over lando i. this gives you a solid way to deal with kingdra which before was a huge threat to this team. gastrodon is a really good fit here because it can soak up water moves meaning they can't spam it vs your team and it can recover vs powerful hits like draco giving you a really nice answer. gastrodon also helps this teams koko matchup since it can sponge most hits and scare it out, and this applies for any hp ice electric. however, losing out on landoi makes this team a bit weaker to tapu bulu but this team does have a pretty ok matchup vs bulu with kyurem + mmeta + rotom heat, so losing out on lando i isnt that detrimental. zygarde + rotom heat can deal with zardy and sun in general pretty easily so you didn't really need lando-i for that imo. icy wind can also be used to allow rotomheat / kyub to break faster things, and to make it easier for zygarde to sweep. regarding ev spread i would run 252hp/212spdef/44 spatk with a modest nature to help vs heatran and rain, you could run a spread of 232hp/176 def/48+ spatk/52 spdef but i much prefer the first set just so its easier to check those things.
