Okay, the only thing I know about EV's is that you can raise a pokemon's stats by battling certain pokemon. The only thing I think I know about IV's is that their how good a pokemon is in that stat. Thats it. Seriously. Please, people, PLEASE!! Help me out!!!
 
hi ev are just short for eevees., you fight any of the eevee evolutions and they give you stats.

and iv is for invitro, which is how you breed your pokes. i think you have to get the invitro poketech program from professor birch or something.


oh and go check the first page of serebii.
 
uh, im pretty sure that's mostly what you need to know about IVs and EVs. all serebii does is confuse you with inaccurate mathematics.

IVs are set stats for every pokemon, and makes then unique. 31 is the max number of IVs you can have in each stat. 0 is the minimum. 1IV point = 1 stat point.

EVs are points that raise certain stats. You have a total of 510 EVs to put into all of your stats. Each individual stat can hold 252 EVs. 4 EV points = 1 stat point. Certain pokemon will give you certain EVs.
