I got pockets like Natasha Bedingfield!

Get it? Because they're full of Sunshine!

Well hello there Smogoneers! Ive been gone for a while with the lack of a computer. But Ive still kept up to date with everything going on though. And now further ado.

Now I know it looks like a generic weather team, Ive tried to stay away from weather but I have had a lot of success with this team. It focuses on using a strategy I called "Late Weather"; removing all of the counters my pokemon have and other Prma-Weather starters. Ninetales probaly doesnt see the light of day til they have 4 pokemon left.

Now lets take a closer look...

637px-038Ninetales_Dream.png

Ninetales@Leftovers
252 Hp/ 92 SpD/ 164 Spe
Nature: Timid
Ability: Drought

MoveList-
Fire Blast
Will-o-Wisp
Toxic
Safeguard

Now lets face facts people Ninetales is death fodder. She cant do anything, All of her stats are garbage, speed is decent but thats it, trying to find a way for getting Ninetales to survive longer than the other weather starters is hard (it pushes your limits). But this set is probaly the only way to use Ninetales.

Lets take a dive into Evs (while they are strange) Max Hp for slight survivability, and just enough speed to outspeed Excadrill so I can Fire Blast it and take it out. Will-o-Wisp is common to burn physical threats like Salamence, Haxorus, and friends. While Toxic is for the numerous amounts of bulky waters in the pokemon universe, (Slowbro, Jellicent) while crippling other defensive threats. Fire Blast is placed there so Ninetales can do some moderate amount of damage for kicking the bucket. Safeguard is great filler when dealing with stall and making Ninetales a team player to protect the rest of her team from Status Spreaders.

202Wobbuffet_Dream.png

Wobbuffet@Leftovers
48 Hp/ 252 Def/ 208 SpD
Nature: Bold
Ability: Shadow Tag

Movelist-
Counter
Mirror Coat
Encore
Tickle

Oh yeah... Wobbuffet. The Blue blob that left the realm of uber. Wobbuffet is the main reason I beat other weather teams. Usually have Ninetales in the lead position for team preview, and swap it for Wobbuffet to trap their Weather starter. i havent found a weather starter that doesnt die to Wobbuffet.
Tyranitar usually sets up steatlth rock while I counter, If that happens I encore its next move (Crunch, Dark Pulse, Substitute) and then choose the appropriate move to take him out. If he goes straight for the kill he will be dumbfounded that no Tyranintar can OHKO my Wobbuffet with his Defensive spread.
Politoed is a lot easier, If its specs I live with 3% of health and destroy Politoed. If its defensive it uses toxic while I mirror coat... it becomes a heavy prediction game for me, Id have to hope hes not smart enough to continually use toxic til I die, if he uses scald right after I mirror coat inflicting a lot of damage. If he uses Perish Song I laugh.

Now Wobbuffets evs are to ensure Max attack Tyranitar cannot KO with Crunch, Which means +1 Conkeldurr cant KO with Payback either. Wobbuffet ensure at least one Ko with his moveset. Tickle is there for an easy way to bring in Darmanitan. theres not really anything else to put there.

232Donphan_Dream.png

Donphan@Leftovers
252 Hp/ 4 Atk / 252 Def
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sturdy
Movelist:
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Ice Shard
Stealth Rock

Now Donphan is an important asset to the team while providing Spin and Rock support. Rapid Spin blows away the Stealth Rock that are the bane of Darmanitan and Ninetales. While Stealth Rock breaks Focus Sash's, Sturdy, and Multi-Scale for Venusaur and Hydreigon. It also handles Volcarona for my team (which I do have a slight weakness to.)
Earthquake is my STAB attack while keeping Heatran at bay. Ice shard is for priority and for dealing damage to Dragons.

555Darmanitan_Dream.png

Darmanitan@Choice Band
4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Sheer Force

Move List-
Flare Blitz
U-Turn
Superpower
Rock Slide

THIS THING IS AN ABSOLUTE MONSTER.. Nothing bar Flash Fire Pokemon can safely switch into a "Sun boosted Sheer Force boosted Max attack choice banded Flare Blitz". It 2HKO's Bulky Gyarados after intimidate... Now thats scary.
Rock Side gets the Sheer Force boost and gives great coverage along with Superpower. U-turn is to gain momentum and switch advantage.

635Hydreigon_Dream.png

Hydreigon@Expert Belt
4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
Ability: Levitate

Movelist-
Draco Meteor
Dark Pulse
Focus Blast
Fire Blast

Hydreigon was put here to give me a second Special Attacker outside of Venusaur. It was originally thought of for an easy way to handle Reuniclus. Then came the idea, of using expert belt to bluff a choice set similar to Latios. Heatran coming in after I KO a reuniclus with Dark Pulse to only be surprised to see a Focus Blast hit him straight in the face! Dark Pulse is the Main STAB along with Draco Meteor for hitthen run tactics. Fire Blast gains a boost from the sun and Focus Blast is in case Heatran comes in to ruin the party. Now the power from expert belt isnt as high as Liffe Orb and Choice Specs. But the real power comes from the surprise.

646px-003Venusaur_Dream.png

Venusaur@Life Orb
4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
Ability: Chlorophyll

Movelist-
Solar Beam
Sludge Bomb
Hidden Power
Growth

Back in Red and Blue... while all my friends picked squirtle and charmander. I picked Bulbasaur, he was my absolute favorite. All my friends laughed at me saying he was too weak and couldnt win. But now thanks to Dream World Im the one laughing. "Who Laughing Now Kevin?"
Now before everyone tells me Energy ball is better.. no its not. Its power is pathetic, "But Tyranitar says... nothing you idiot, Tyranitar is dead he's locked in my basement." Wobbuffet's priority is to take out weather so I can fire off Solarbeams with no problem. And even if I lose the Weather war I still have Sludge Bomb for a decent power STAB. And the last one is obvious, Hidden Power is my way of handling Steel types.

Now please leave me feedback and comments, because I tend to not get any...

Your venusaur has a huge problem with tyranitar and some bulky dragons such as dragonite. May I suggest using a mixed Venusaur?

move 1: Growth
move 2: Seed Bomb
move 3: Return / Earthquake
move 4: Hidden Power Fire/Ice / Sleep Powder
item: Life Orb
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Lonely
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

Good luck with the team.

Hi,

I don't have much time for a full rate, so a small nitpick only. Your Ninetales' spread should look like: 252HP, 92 SpD, 164 Spe with a Timid Nature. This allows Ninetales to outspeed all forms of Excadrill and Fire Blast for the kill. I know you said Ninetales isn't coming out ever until the opposing weather starter is cleared, but none of your other Pokemon isn't checking a +2 Excadrill anytime soon, so this will help more often than not.

@Tiffany, I have considered Mixed Venusaur at one point. But tyranitar is taken out by Wobbuffet and Darmanitan. So my set will stay.

@Amarillo, Will be changing in the OP thanks for pointing that out:) If you get time I wou;d appreciate a full rate.

Nice Slim Shady quote.

Venasaur without Earthquake, imo, is madness. Heatran walls you to hell and back with you current set, your best shot at taking out Heatran in general is Hydreigon's Focus Blast, which has extremely shaky accuracy, and doesn't even OHKO SpDef Tran (Tran KOs Donphan w/out Sturdy active, not to mention you might have to pop his balloon, Sub versions get a free sub as Darmanitan switches in and hit hard with Earth Power. Rare Scarf versions outspeed Darmanitan and KO). I suggest you run a mixed Venasaur as well. At least try replacing Sludge Bomb w/ EQ, with a (+SpA, -Some Def) nature.

It seems Dragons sweepers could tear right through this team. Specs Latios does major damage to everything, along with BandOrous and crew. Maybe try a Heatran of your own? C: Wob fails hard at ensuring your weather against the ever so common BulkyToad, which can Toxic, or in some cases Hypnosis, and take you out by stalling turns or attacking respectively. Might want to try something else in that slot, preferably steel, but you seem pretty set on Wob. GL!

Hello. Nice sun team! You team does a great job of limiting Tyranitar's switch ins. I've got some suggestions though. Choice Scarf/Double Dancing Terrakion will walk all over this team. Terrakions best way of setting up againt this team is on Darmanitan locked into the appropriate move (3/4). So to limit Terrakions switch ins I recommend using Choice Band Infernape over Darmanitan.| Infernape @ Choice Band | Blaze | 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd | Mach Punch | Close Combat | Flare Blitz | U-Turn |. CB Darm is just an inferior CB Nape without the priority imo. With Infernape, you lose a SR weak Pokemon and you now have some priority to work with. Close Combat and Mach Punch make it hard for Tyranitar/Heatran to switch in while the latter can take out faster guys Terrakion and Excadrill. Infernape's CB+Sun+Blaze+STAB boosted Flare Blitz is pretty overkill.

You have NOTHING to take a strong dragon attack such as Latios's Specs D-Meteor or Haxorus's Banded Outrage. Haxorus's Banded Outrage still does a shit ton to Heatran, but atleast you'll have something to fodder out for confusion. Another thing that's a bit troubling to me is that right now all you have to kill Excadrill is Nintales and you have 0 answers to HP Ground Volcarona. Should you choose to use Infernape, Donphan's spinning will become even less valuble. I think a suitable replacent for Donphan would be Specially Deffensive Heatran.| Heatran @ Air Balloon | Modest | 252 HP / 248 SDef / 8 Spd | Lava Plume | Toxic | HP Ice | Stealth Rock |. Heatran patches up a lot of the threats I mentioed earlier. He checks Lati@s and he checks Excadrill/HP Ground Volcarona (with it's Balloon in tact). The sun boosted Flamethrower will also be nice.

With Heatran and Infernape, your going to need a tougher Water/Ground resist so I recommend using Calm Mind Latias over Hydreigon. | Latias @ Leftovers | timid | 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd | Calm Mind | Recover | Dragon Pulse | Roar |. I think Latias would be a great fit to this team. With all the fire attacks being thrown arond, Latias can easliy sweep late game once the opponents steels are eliminated/worn down. Latias also gives you a pretty solid swtich into rain sweepers and you now have a way of dealing with CM Reuniclus. Heatran + Latias is just an amazing deffensive core.

gl!

@Shadow: Because I feel that a 75% chance to take out one opponent is a waste. Especially with sleep clause,

@Valentine: Glad some one caught the reference, and I have noticed The Heatran Weakness I have, So I'll start testing the Choice Band Infernape, although i will be missing the Amazing power from Darmanitan T^T.

@Brizznetz: Many good Ideas for my team, The infernape Idea will get put into teseting. As with the Heatran recommendation, its a great set.. but I dislike using Heatran. As it is another Conkeldurr weakness I will get. But thanks for pointing out the new redundance Donphan would be, I will find a new bulky Pokemon to set up rocks. Lasty, Latias is doing the same job as Hydreigon would, just less of a surprise. But I will be putting it into consideration!

EDIT: Btw, how would a schoice scarf Mamoswine do for my team? Help revenge against Dragon types.

Hi,

I like that team and the fact that you use Wobuffet to Ninetales setting uo the sunshine.

I would suggest running Destiny Bond over Tickle on your Wobuffet to take out the opponent's weather inducer no matter what happens. And Tickle is pretty useless anyway.

Maybe change Solar Beam to Energy Ball to have a solid Grass STAB outside the sun. You got to decide, if you want higher power or reliability.

I hope that this helps you a little bit, although it was only a short rate, because Brizznetz alredy mentioned the many improvements.

Good luck!
