Gen 3 I guess it has been long enough

Well, shoddy is garbage. As fun as physical Pursuit is, I think adv is where I belong. So here it is, a new team of mine awaiting a rating.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 124 HP / 152 Spd / 232 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Lead Zapdos? Well it has enough speed to beat CB Mence, and DD Mence I guess as well. Usually, I just sub, expecting Blissey/Snorlax, and pass it to Dusclops or whomever to get things started. Dragonite also appreciates these.

Steelix (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Atk / 136 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Roar
- Sleep Talk

Has replaced Dusclops and is working marvelously. I only went with Roar > Rock Slide or Iron Tail because I lack a phazer and I've needed one recently.

Cloyster (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 20 Spd / 84 SAtk / 136 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Rest
- Spikes
- Surf

Cloyster is cooler than both Skarmory and Forretress combined because it makes people regret relying on Magneton to stop spikes. Reason enough to keep it right?

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 140 HP / 136 Atk / 56 SAtk / 176 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Body Slam
- Fireblast
- Shadowball
- Self-destruct

Usually this is where I turn whenever Zapdos comes in on Nite. Fire Blast because I refuse to use anything but CBMaggy.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Recover
- Reflect

Support for Dragonite in addition to encouraging some switches. Not much here; it's hard to make Celebi much fun.

Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 58 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Thunder

Dragonite over Salamence because of Thunder...and Dragonite is from rby which makes it a better choice by default.

Obviously there is a big ttar weak as a number of different sets would hurt this team. I really want to put in Haryiama somewhere (BB/Knock off/Resttalk maybe?) but I can't really see a place to put him? Help please?

EDIT: I'm definitely considering Haryiama over Dusclops so I can get in so form of pseudohazing as well, ideas?

You and Umby's use of Cloyster is what made me almost completely stop using Maggy on its own Falkner.

I'm a horrible team rater, someone needs to teach me how to do it, this was mostly to say hi as I havent talk to you in forever.

So I used to have this same team with Ludicolo over Celebi and Steelix over Zapdos.

If you're going to use Subpassing Zapdos to set up for Gengar, you might as well be using Gengar (and perhaps even Jolteon over Zapdos to lure in an Earthquake and easily setting up Gengar). You have better offensive options in that regard.

Here's what I'd personally do overall, though. Run Taunt/WoW/Pain Split/Shadow Ball Dusclops, a Body Slam/Earthquake/Fire Blast/Focus Punch or Selfdestruct Snorlax, And push Heal Bell over Leech Seed on Celebi. What this does is let Snorlax be more effecitve (I find the set you listed to be a bit more novelty than a lot of your other sets), allows Cloyster/Snorlax to be healed from status if necessary, and Dusclops makes an easy counter for any version of Snorlax. However, if you can create enough offensive pressure from the majority of your team, it's not really as necessary (*necessary from my point of view*) to remove Leech Seed for Heal Bell.

Needs more Boom lax, Boom clamp, and possibly a more offensive Celebi approach. SUPERBI?

Dusclops is kinda meh out of pure defensive teams imo so why not use something like Sub Punch Machamp or even Bulk Up idk.

I don't know how effective Zappy has been but Drill Peck, TB, HP Grass, Sub/Twave/Toxic could be fun.

It's funny you say that synch, because I had Ludicolo in here until I decided to post this. Mostly to force switches and set up some rain to help out Dragonite.

I'm going with Focus Punch on Lax and the Clops set you suggested over the current one. Both pokes appreciate the subs. Also, was Steelix your makeshift TTar counter? Because right now, I'm having serious trouble with him.

No. It was just "I resist Rock Slide and can hit you with STABed EQs while taking your unSTABed EQs" Steelix.

I do like this team, although you COULD lose zapdos for a TTar counter, and make Lax have selfdestruct, and id give cloyster IB/explosion over rest. Maybe Suicune over Dos? Roar can phaze and also abuse the shit out of spikes.

In the event that he did use Suicune, Snorlax would have to work its ass off and Celebi would revert back to a Leech Seeder to work well vs bulky waters.

its not like he uses a defensive zapdos, i dont see how that relates to snorlax. Suicune counters every physical attacker pretty much, and is hell combined with spikes, only various electrics scare it out.

I'd sooner replace Dusclops then Zapdos as keeping spikes on the field isn't this teams primary goal--it's more focused on a Dragonite clean up. But it is looking like I need to take care of both bulky waters and Ttar. Cloyster however, can come in on Swampert all day and only further stalls Swampert out with Rest--that is why I've gone with Rest over Ice Beam/Explosion.

Dropping Zapdos for Hariyama or Machamp would help the Ttar weak but hurt my chances of breaking through bulky waters. I guess I could rely on Knock off and like...spikes damage to accumulate. Or maybe run an incredibly bulky encorechamp or something? I don't know.

EDIT: Well I liked the idea of Steelix, umby, so I put it over my Gengar counter, Dusclops. So consequently, now that my Zapdos/Bulky water counters are so definely in place, I'm lacking a Gengar counter. (Note, I also went back to Leech Seed on Celebi to help with last poke curselax.) To fix this mess I'm currently running Shadowball over Equake on lax. Comments?
