I hate Bullet Punch Scizor........

Alright I had a team before Platinum came out, it was...

But Scizor killed me every time he appeared so I tried to make a team that could take it and other Platinum threats a little better.
I've been testing this team on Shoddy and its looking pretty good. I need some second opinions though.

Rocky the Machamp@Lum Berry
Adamant 252 HP/160 Atk/96 SpD
No Guard
Subsistute
Thunderpunch
Dynamicpunch
Bullet Punch

Okay this thing sweeps right off the bat. Can't really be statused until because of Sub and Lum Berry and kills with that STAB Dynamicpunch. Thunderpunch is for Gyarados leads and Bullet punch for killing fragile leads and weakened opponents.

Sasuke the Lucario@Life orb
Naughty 80 Atk/240 SpA/188 Spe
Steadfast
Extremespeed
Close Combat
HP Ice
Shadow Ball

Decided to try something new on this set. Close Combat ruins Blissey and non-scarfed Heatran. HP Ice destroys Dragons and Gliscor so he won't be walling me anytime soon. Shadow ball hits Ghosts and Heracross pretty damn hard too. I chose Naughty over Mild so Close Combat and Extremespeed could have that extra attack power that they want badly. Steadfast is so it could have a chance to boost it's speed. It covers a lot and has a lot of power.

Spr_4p_474.png

CtrlAltDelete the Porygon-Z@Choice Scarf
Modest 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Adaptibility
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Tri Attack
Dark Pulse

Awesome revenge killer. Bolt Beam + amazing STAB attack + Choice Scarf = Rape in its purity. Great coverage, but I wish it didn't need Scarf to us it effectively.

Tsukuyomi the Cresselia@Leftovers
Modest 20 HP/252 Def/236 SpD
Levitate
Moonlight
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Reflect

Makes a great wall. I come in on threats that could take down my team and paralyze them, Reflect if they're a Physical threat. It also can survive a X-scissor (Can't switch in to it though) from Scizor and paralyze it. Then it sets up Light screen so someone else can try to kill it off.

Spr_4d_437.png

Liberty the Bronzong@Leftovers
Sassy 252 HP/62 Atk/104 Def/92 SpD
Levitate
Rest
Sleep Talk
Gyro Ball
Earthquake

Supposed to be my second Mixed wall turned out to be more of a tank. Rest and Sleep Talk give me a semi reliable recovery and Gyro Ball/Earthquake combo hits a lot hard.

Spr_4d_373.png

Tiamat the Salamence@Yache Berry
Adamant 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Intimidate
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Fire Blast/Stone Edge
Earthquake

Awesome sweeper. Yache berry with Intimidate allows it to not be OHKOd by Physical Ice attacks (Most of the time.....) and pretty much ensures a DD. Outrage for the epicness factor and Earthquake for moar coverage. Fire Blast hits those Ice types and beats Skarmory and Tangrowth but Stone Edge can kill a max HP Gyarados after a DD.

I haven't really noticed any glaring weaknesses but if you spot something let me kn

Hm, I'd use Stone Edge > Thunderpunch for the reliable coverage and the access of power. Strictly speaking for Machamp. Not sure about Bullet Punch but I'd still think about Ice Punch or Payback. Particularly Payback for Celebi switch ins if they're dumb enough. And it gives 100 base Power since you'll go last anyway.

And one thing I've noticed: this isn't handling Scizor any better (...). Not being rude but Scizor could simply Brick Break the Relfect, use Swords Dance, and THEN trample with Bullet Punch, etc. Shaymin-S and Tyranitar could pick off Pokemon here and there at least but luckily Lucario can at least intercept the Pursuit from Tyranitar. But there's a simple solution: Scarf Heatran. Yes I know you're probably sick of me suggesting the "bog standard" but seriously it patches everything nicely in this team and strings most things together. Stops Scizor, prevents a lot of Shaymin-S, and also stops Lucario as a bonus barring Agility and Choice Specs Vacuum Wave.

No Stealth Rock could become an issue here as this lets Salamence, Shaymin-S, and Zapdos thrive a little more. If you can cram it into Bronzong and forego RestTalk. It's an alright strategy; however, I feel its not played to its strengths. Otherwise keep testing stuff and hopefully Bullet Punch Scizor won't give you too many tears with Heatran in your team if possible (I'd replace Porygon-Z if anything).

I've been thinking of trying Heatran for a while now. It resists all of Scizor's attacks except superpower but Heatran out speeds that. Destroys Shaymin with STAB Lava Plume and can absorb incoming Fire attacks that will try fo kill off Bronzong. As for Bronzong I'm not sure if I'm willing to give up Earthquake's coverage for it but I'll think about it and the Machamp suggestion.
