Infernape@Choice Scarf
Rash Nature/Blaze
36 Atk / 252 SpA / 220 Spe
~Overheat
~Hidden Power(Ice)
~Close Combat
~U-Turn/Thunder Punch

My Starter. Out speeds most other starters. Overheat blasts Bronzong leads with tons of SpA+STAB goodness. Hidden Power(Ice) is for the Salamence leads that occasionally comes up. Close Combat for Physical attack and Blisseys. U-Turn would be good to scout, but ThunderPunch can deal with the Gyara's that switch in, thinking they can counter you.

dpmfa248.png

Tyranitar@Choice Band
Adamant Nature/Sand Stream
60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Spe
~Crunch
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
~Pursuit

Well, this basically laughs at Cresselia coming in on Infernape. Crunch can basically OHKO it, assuming Reflect isn't up, and Cress doesn't have Max Hp/Def. Stone Edge+Massive Attack+STAB=Disaster for the victim. Earthquake is kinda' obvious for it's coverage, and Pursuit can destroy Cress switching out, or anything switching out.

dpmfa462.png

Magnezone@Leftovers
Modest Nature/Magnet Pull
172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power(Ice)
~Substitute
~Explosion/Magnet Rise

Skarmory and Bronzong can give my Team some problems, so this came in. Bolt-Beam is necessary with Thunderbolt getting STAB, and it's poopy coverage with out Bolt-Beam. Substitute can deal with Hypnosis, and Explosion on Bronzong, and I can get a free Sub in on Skarm. I really want Explosion for the last move, since it can seriously destroy something, but Magnet Rise is suggested.

dpmfa130.png

Gyrados@Leftovers
Adamant Nature/Intimidate
212 HP / 16 Atk / 180 Def / 100 Spe
~Dragon Dance
~Earthquake/Taunt
~Waterfall/Taunt
~Ice Fang/Taunt

As soon as you saw Gyrados, you knew this was coming. :p This Bulky set is self explanatory, but I'm having trouble with Taunt. Without taunt, this can rip through many things. Skarm is the only thing that can basically wall this and Roar/Whirlwind, but I already have Magnezone. Meh, it's up to you guys and your advice. This also helps with this team's Ground weakness, and Fighting weakness, but to a lesser extent.

Cresselia@Leftovers/Chesto Berry
Bold Nature/Levitate
252 HP / 108 Def / 148 SpD
~Light Screen/Relflect
~Psychic
~Charge Beam
~Rest/Moonlight

Well, this is supposed to be my Mixed-Wall. Counters Mix-Ape very well. Psychic is for STAB and Mixape, and Charge Beam is for Gyara, which could give this team some problems. Light Screen/Reflect is always nice to have, and provides support for Gyara setting up. Rest would work better than moonlight because of SandStream, but Moonlight doesn't cause sleep. This may seem too problematic, but Cresselia helps my team's fighting weakness very nicely.

Gliscor@Leftovers
Impish Nature/Hyper Cutter
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
~Aerial Ace
~Earthquake/Ice Fang
~Stealth Rock
~Knock Off/Ice Fang

My Hera Counter. Gyrados can't really take a SD version of Hera too well, so this comes in. I guess this also doubles as a Physical Wall. I can get rocks out, and Knock off Bliss's Lefties, Garchomp's Life Orb, and a lot of other things. Aerial Ace has to be there because of Hera, but EQ is not really a Must Have. Ice Fang could be more useful in a situation. Knock off is always really nice to have, but again, it's not a necessity.

This is my Second RMT on Smogon, so I guess I'm still a newbie. Don't flame please.:naughty:

Well it seems that your teams core is Tyranitar / Magnezone and Gyarados, which is a great start. To start though, I'd like to take out Cresselia and add in Starmie. Adds some spin support (Stealth Rock + Spikes + Toxic Spikes + Sand all add up on Infernape, Magnezone and Tyranitar). Starmie also gives you a better Infernape counter than Cresselia, considering Starmie isn't OHKO'd by any of Infernapes attacks (as long as you're switching in before it gets a boost of some sort), outspeeds Infernape, and OHKO's with Surf. Starmie also gets Recover, opposed to Cresselia's Rest + Sleep Talk. Starmie also adds a better Gyarados counter. Use Rapid Spin / Thunderbolt / Surf / Recover.

If you're going to use Taunt, use it over Waterfall or Ice Fang. Waterfall + Earthquake get decent coverage, and Earthquake + Ice Fang get great coverage, but no STAB. Waterfall + Ice Fang get pretty shitty type coverage.

As far as weakness's go, you've got quite a bit covered. Hard hitting special attackers, like Azelf, can give you a hell of a time, so be wary when you meet them, be sure to scout the set.

Thanks Iggy. I'm afraid that if I use Stamie I have a lack of a Special Wall, which kinda' sucks.

On Gyara, if I use Taunt, Waterfall+EQ seems pretty smurfin' awesome.

Cress+Zone was my option of countering Azelf,(Switch to Cress, then I switch to Zone when it U-Turns). I don't know.

>.<

Toss Magnezone and replace it for Heatran. Put Taunt on both Gliscor AND Gyarados. There, you don't have Skarm problems anymore, but you can now more easily set up a Gyarados/Heatran sweep.

Honestly, I think that's a little redundant. Two Taunts is like, not needed. Besides, I was already considering taunt on Gyara, and you gave me no information on what move to switch out. Good Job.

Heatran adds on to my Ground weakness. Magnezone does too, but at least it has a way of getting around it. Besides, I honestly prefer bulkyness. Heatran can be good at Rest/Talking or Walling, but I like the idea of killing Forretresses with ease.

Err, why would you neuter your Gliscor by not giving it roost?

It also doesn't need Aerial Ace to counter Heracross since there's no way it can do anything to Gliscor and you can chip away at its HP with EQ and sandstorm while recovering with roost.

Infernape wants a +speed nature in order to outspeed Jolly Scarfchomp.

Explosion on Magnezone is really only good if you have a life orb, so if you want to keep lefties i would suggest TBolt/HP Ice/Sub/Magnet Rise (no T-wave because EQ zong could give this team trouble if it beats Zone). If you want LO, a build I have had success with is 96 Atk / 252 Speed / 160 SpAtk with a naive nature running T-Bolt/HP Ice/Explosion/Magnet Rise. The Special Attack may seem low, but it is more than enough to beat the steels Zone is supposed to counter. The 96 Atk guarantees a OHKO on Blissey with Explosion. Taking down your opponent's Skarm or Zong and their Blissey with just magnezone is incredibly devastating. I run max speed because outrunning something with an explosion is much more important than a few extra special attack points, especially since it has a Life Orb already. This Magnezone will outspeed: Gliscor, Bulky Zapdos, most Gyaras, Adamant Breloom, 252 neutral Metagross (who cant do much after a magnet rise), and most Uxies (it beats no-speed base 100's as well, but those are usually EV'd for 244 speed).

With a team that already has a decent amount of defense, I think you could afford to run a much more offensive Gyara build (especially because, with no spinner, Gyara isn't going to want to play defense too much). I'm thinking something along the lines of 24 HP / 252 Atk / 232 Speed, and drop taunt for better coverage. This will allow to to outspeed Weavile and anything slower after one Dragon Dance (including Scarf Heatran who might try to explode). 2 DD's will outspeed everything in the game besides scarf Gengar and Starmie. This build will also beat any Celebi who switches in on a Dragon Dance. It should also be noted that you will outrun Tyranitar without DD'ing at all.

Keeping Cress or switching to starmie is probably fine; though if you keep cress you should give it lefties and run Rest/Talk/Psychic/Charge Beam. It absolutely needs to be able to beat opposing Infernape and Gyarados. On a related note, switching Gyara's EQ to Stone Edge wouldn't be a bad call, as it would allow you to more effectively beat your opponents' Gyaras.

I think you're forgetting Roost on Gliscor, since he really isn't viable as a wall without it =P. I would suggest Roost/SR/EQ/Ice Fang, since Gliscor is probably the closest thing in the game to a solid, reusable Garchomp counter. However not using AA pretty much ensures that you will get raped by SD Hera (though those are very rare). Also, Sand Veil is one of the best abilities in the game! Don't ignore it!

Good Luck; Hope this Helps! --TAY

Jolly scarfchomp sucks. A lot. I'm pretty sure the 10% extra power is worth not outspeeding one pokemon. He can handle Jolly Scarfchomp. It doesn't even OHKO Dexoys-E... I should know

Thanks Tay. Lol, to everyone: I kinda' forgot about Roost. >.< Ummm...Yea.

I don't have time to edit right now, but keep up the good rates!

This is why I joined Smogon.

Assuming this is shoddy, Jolly scarfchomp is more common than Adamant ones. If you don't go on shoddy, it is basically a speed game.

Will edit this post with fixes soon.
