I Like Pory

This is a team that is based on Porygon and the many OU pokes that it beats. It has support with the weather, SR, and spinning. Threat list and everything else coming soon.

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Body Slam
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Trick

I swear this will be my starter for every team I ever make. And if he isn't starting, he'll be on the team. I am considering U-Turn over SR since Claydol also has rocks.

Porygon2 @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Ground]

I read an article in The Smog about how certain UU pokes work better in OU than UU because they have a niche in OU. Pory is one of those pokes. Heatran? ScarfTran can't 3HKO and gets 2HKOed. Gyara? Needs to DD once and then again on the switch to have a chance. DDMence? OHKOed. Also helps with random Jolteons, Vaporeons, Flygons, and even Dugtrio.

Kingdra (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 180 HP/252 Atk/76 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance

With Pory's leftovers cancelled out by sandstorm, a lot of 3HKOs can 2HKO, a few 4HKOs become 3HKOs. I knew I needed something that could control weather, and this is the best stand-alone poke I could think of.

Rhyperior (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 92 HP/252 Atk/164 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail
- Fire Punch

It's not overly easy to get in, but wow once it does. It absorbs random physical attacks and then hits very hard on the switch. May remove for something that takes on Tar better.

Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/144 Def/112 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Shadow Ball

Again with Pory, SR makes things KO earlier than they should. Also, SR is vital for managing to KO Gyarados. I also needed a ground resist, and this was what I found. Strongly considering Ice Beam on there for random Gliscors and Flygons, which are easy to switch into.

Spiritomb (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/100 Def/156 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Pory does not like fighting attacks, so a ghost type is necessary. Strongly considering Rotom over this to help with Metagross, Scizor, and Gyarados, but that leaves me even weaker to Tar.

I suppose I could use a good Tar counter. Maybe Lucario or Breloom over Rhyperior and then Rotom over Spiritomb? Other than that, I haven't battled too many times with it, and I will get a threat list and everything done soon :) Anything on the team can change with one rule: Pory stays :)

Nice! I actually really like it. However, here are some of my inputs.

Jirachi: I can work with that.

Porygon2: With its slow speed, just make sure to watch out for some of the faster pokemons that can 2HKO this. Some examples would be MixMence and MixNite. Watch out for their Draco meteor on switch.

Kingdra: It can work, there are better options (dragon types at least such as flygon for instance) but this is good enough.

Rhyperior: 100% Agreed. But as you said switch in with caution.

Claydol: Bulky Waters, especially Gyara will become a problem for this guy.

Spiritomb:Heracross and such will be a problem for not too many Cross these days.

Overall it's nice. I see a MixMence and MixNite problem though. While MixNite is not as widely seen, it will cause some havok to your current team. MixMence...this guy is hard to deal with...you should have a counter for thsi guy.

with kingdra you should probably use this set as it takes less set-up but is still very powerful:

kingdra @ life orb/damp rock
252atk/16spe/242spatk
lonely
rain dance
waterfall
hydro pump
draco meteor

waterfall should be your main attack while hydro pump is for physical walls. draco meteors for anything that resists water

I prefer zero gundam's set a mixed is always more powerful, and thinking about it, how many setup moves do you want?!?

Rain Dance = +1 attack +1 sp atk (for water moves) +2 speed +non damaging weather
Dragon Dance = +1 attack (for all attack) +1 speed
Lol, just realized both are dance

As a counter switches in you will find that you wont get another turn to setup.

Imagin a scarf gon switching in, you RD then outrage, or get pwned, by scarf gons outrage. No DD for you.

While the extra coverage can help damage even resisted pokes (empoleon)
