[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Mawile is a truly devastatingwallbreaker, boasting a wide array of coverage options that makes it a terror for defensive teams to pivot around safely. Ice Punch targets foes like Landorus-T and Gliscor, with the former not being a reliable switch-in at all, as Ice Punch OHKOes it even after Intimidate. Thunder Punch hits defensive Water-type Pokemon like Slowbro, Alomomola, and Toxapex attempting to come in on Play Rough. Fire Fang nails Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Melmetal. Knock Off is another option that can be utilized to discourage Gholdengo, as well as stopping Pecharunt from switching in. Lastly, Brick Break can be used to completely eviscerate Kingambit, in addition to preventing Heatran from otherwise walling Mega Mawile. The 204 speed EVs allow Mega Mawile to outrun bulky Swords Dance Mega Scizor.
Mega Mawile is found mostly on bulky offense teams. These teams appreciate its ability to exert pressure on common defensive staples like Ting-Lu and Ferrothorn. Landorus-T makes an effective partner, as it is a crucial switch-in to faster Ground-type foes like Great Tusk and opposing Landorus-T that force out Mega Mawile. In return, Mega Mawile is able to punch holes in its checks like Corviknight and Slowbro. Additionally, entry hazard support from teammates such as the aforementioned Great Tusk and Landorus-T makes Mega Mawile more difficult to switch into. Mega Mawile in return puts great pressure on the Flying-types that Landorus-T brings in, such as Tornadus-T and Zapdos, limiting their ability to use Defog. It also values pivot support from allies such as Raging Bolt and Tapu Koko bringing it in on their checks like Ferrothorn and Galarian Slowking. Mega Mawile is prone to getting worn down fast with hazards, so it appreciates hazard removal from teammates like Great Tusk and Terapagos.
