(Yes, I go by BunjeeGumper on Showdown)
This team originally had Xatu on it. The idea was to switch into something with choice (most likely Aero or Dug after using an EQ) and then set a reflect up to help against physical threats.
I have now learned the hard way that Claydol is better in that role cause it does not get screwed by Rock Slides and TBolts.
Team
-----------
Skarmory
Skarmory is a standard. It leads to set up spikes, it can roar opponents out if they try to set up, get a subsitute up or to take advantage of spikes. I think the Skarm pairs well with Swampert and Claydol for the electric immunity. Claydol is a good pivot for it to help with Gengar. Through playing Swampert is the easiest switch in for Skarm cause of Lead Tyranitars, Zapdos, and maybe even a Fire Punch Jirachi.
Claydol
The Claydol plays a role as a spinner and rock resist. Claydol was also the best thing I could think of as a answer to Dug and Aero. It can setup a reflect which helps it (and the team) against Aerodactyl, which I think the team for the most part is not that well suited to take it on. The reflect is useful to allow the team's T-tar set up with dragon dance to sweep. Levitate makes it completely immune to Ground moves allowing to pivot onto any EQ it desires (especially those who are choice band). I did give Claydol Psychic to mess with Gengar. I do think that an Offensive Gengar with HP Grass will be able to deal with it.
Tyranitar
Tyranitar is a Dragon Dance variant. It can setup and sweep. HP Bug is to have something against Celebi because rocks does not do enough damage and Celebi is resists EQ. HP Bug is able to one shot it on account of Celebi's 4x weakness to bug. EQ is a solid move to spam because it can hit alot of things for neutral. Rock Slide is Tyranitar's best stab option. It is able to 1 shot Offensive Zap after a DD. Flinch is always a nice thing to stall out opponents. This T-Tar does not like to go up against swampert, there is not much you can do, if not any, you will always be forced out by a swampert.
Swampert
Swampert is a second rock resist. This Swampert was copied off a RU Whiscash that focused heavily into bulk. It has max HP EVs, which does allow it to live most HP Grass. This will activate Torrent and give the Hydro Pump needed damage to KO or set up a KO against the opponent. This does KO HP Grass Tyranitars. Swampert will lie with 8% and KO. Zapdos will live with ~40-45%. I gave Swampert Rest to heal off any damage it took and to get rid of status since this Swampert is vulrenable to status. It will not be able to use torrent if it is PSN, BRN or SLP. RS and EQ do alot of damage to those who are neutral and weak to it.
Dusclops
I wanted a spin blocker that was not Gengar. I chose Dusclops because the original version had a Sableye on it and I want something that could do something somewhat similar. Dusclops had a Choice Band to deal massive damage to Ghost weak pokemon. I have it HP Fighting to deal with any normal type that so happens to cross its path. If a Celebi is on the field, Dusclops can take hits from it while also threatening it with STAB Shadow Ball that could leave Offensive Celebi from 20%-3%. Most other Celebi's take more than half with a band on. This does mean that Dusclops is vulrenable to passive damage because of not havibng Leftovers equipped, but I think it is worth it to scare Celebi so swampert has an easier time do its role.
Jirachi
Jirachi plays the second part that I wanted Xatu to play. As a Wish + Calm Mind pokemon. Jirachi has a better HP stat than Xatu, so the team can heal more if it passes it. Jirachi overall is way more threating than a Xatu. I has BoltBeam to deal with Skarm, Zap, (maybe Celebi), Claydol. I just wanted a support pokemon that could heal the team since I thought Blissey would be a bad match on this team. Max HP makes sure that it can take hits. Calm Mind makes it tanky.
(PLEASE LEAVE CRITISIMS OFF THE TEAM, team building is something i am not really good at and I want to get better at it).
